  1. Yep, I agree with you about the stabilizers not deploying horizontally with pneumatics, as it looks like we have all 4 cylinders used up on the jib.
  2. I know! Of course! Id say their initial price on bricklink might be a few quid though!
  3. I agree with you on this, that new red slider part is very bulky and I can't see there being room for it inside the truck with all its other functions. Yep, the final stage of the outriggers seems to be a worm gear and probably an 8 tooth gear.
  4. I can see these long cylinders fetching a reasonable price on bricklink, but not that much!
  5. I'll give you fair prices for them. Whatever they are worth new on bricklink I'll give.
  6. I hear you OG_technic! I have to agree with you on that one! None of the 2015 1H sets stand out for me either. I'll get them all anyway as they are technic sets and they have lots of parts in new colours. Will I get 1 of 42043? No, I'll get a few of them! Anyone buying 42043 for parts, but aren't pneumatic fans - can I buy the long pneumatic cylinders off you please?
  7. Usually 2H sets are released in August each year.
  8. It seems to be a new sliding panel on the last section of the red part of the Arocs arm, the part in which the extendable section slides on. I'm guessing it could be a new panel on each side joined to make that slider section, just thinking of it from an injection mould point of view. Can't see any recognisable new parts on the end of the crawler crane boom.
  9. Excellent, it will hold the new record for parts count for the technic theme so, beating 42009's 2606 part count.
  10. Some nice suggestions there. A bucket wheel excavator could be an option, although there wouldn't be much modification needed between the 2 models. The b model could be absolutely anything with tracks. Looking back at the b model for 42006, did anyone predict that it was going to be a tracked tractor with a fork on the front and a plough / ripper on the back? I love his videos with the hamster. With 42043 being the flagship for 2015 2H, I'd say we can probably assume that the crawler crane will only have a few functions motorised, but which ones? My guess would be the lifting of the grab and the up and down of the boom. That top pulley for the up and down of the boom doesn't appear to have any motor or gears attached, but the winch for lifting the boom could be below that in the body of the crane.
  11. The body seems to be more in size with 8043 (apart from the big boom), although it looks like it has a few more track links on each track. The cab however looks smaller when compared to the rest of the model, which suggests to me that the real thing is in fact a lot bigger than the average excavator size in the real world. At the minute we can only see what appears to be 1 L motor (although there is plenty of blank space for other stuff on the orange part of the box), which could mean a gearbox to switch between a few functions. Nobody knows what other functions they will add to that blank orange part of the box. Brickset have just the 3 models listed for 2015 2H, if that is anything to go by.
  12. According to brickset, they have it listed as 42040 yes.
  13. Well spotted. Somehow I wasn't thinking of the obvious like an extension to the boom, but more like something the grab can pick up! Now that you mention it, that part in the grab looks exactly like one of the sections that Saberwing40k has drawn above. At least this gives us the option to increase the boom length if needed. One part I'd love to see TLG create fairly soon would be a new design of a more solid, sturdy turntable. One that rotates freely, but at the same time has very little horizontal play in it, possibly with small ball bearings inside. I think that excavator and crane structures can often show how much these turntables are under pressure. And if TLG could incorporate rotating electrical connectors to feed 2 motors below, without the need for wires tangling through the turntable, or shafts and collars through the turntable, then that would be great. One could then use 2 motors with simpler gear trains below, with very little power loss to the tracks, no tangling of wires and full 360 degree rotation.
  14. I have been sampling pixels in photoshop and the more pixels of blue I sampled, the more they looked like 41999 blue. It is possible that the bluish purple colour could be coming from the shadows. Now wouldn't that be sweet, but on the 7L closed cylinder (the one we have on the Unimog), there is roughly 6L between the hoses. And it looks like I can roughly count 6L distance between the two hoses on the elbow ram of the jib itself. After completing a Google image search for other confidential Lego images, there were no boxes with flash, which leads me to believe that it could be genuine camera flash on a screen. Also the language on 42042 seems to be Hungarian (according to Google translate). 42042 Lánctalpas Daru, meaning 42042 Crawler Crane.
  15. The tracks on 42042 definitely look to be dark bluish gray, same as in 8043. The exact main bluish colour I'm struggling with a bit though. I'm not sure if it's regular blue, or 41999 blue, but to me it looks almost like it's a bluish purple colour. The image is low resolution and ruined with jpeg artifact compression. The camera flash on the box doesn't help things either. There is a battery box and a motor (either an L or M motor, but possibly an L motor) and I see what looks like a small LA to activate the claws similar to 42006, via a shaft you turn manually. The orange part of the box that usually shows motors etc looks unfinished, as there is part of it blank.
  16. Found them service packs on bricklink. Thanks!
  17. From what I can make out on 42043, it looks to me like we have 3 different size pneumatic rams and my guess is that they are: 1 x 5L closed length - for opening/closing the grab (new cylinder type) 1 x 7L closed length - for working the elbow of the jib (same as what we have on the Unimog etc) 2 x 9L closed length - one for raising the jib (guess) and one for extending the jib (definitely) (new cylinder type) So why the new title Pneumatic 2.0: Is it just because they added 2 new cylinder sizes? Have they improved the seals on all cylinders? Maybe even new valves, but I doubt it And it will be interesting to see if they will have 1 or 2 compressors to fill them longer cylinders
  18. Yes, you are right about 8680 having 2 of them! I remember having a leaflet that had 8640 and 8680 on it as a kid and I wanted them so badly at the time. Have you any details on the service packs? Them 9L single acting rams were made from 100% plastic and my guess is that they bent quite a bit when extended fully too.
  19. Yes, they will be showing the 2015 2H sets at the show and it's only 9 days away now.
  20. Was 8843 the only set that had the long 9L single acting cylinder? I don't remember seeing it in any other set.
