i like the way u use a wrench for the coffee maker thingy! Nice! :'-)

i tink its better if you resize the pics before uploading to ur brickshelf account. Picasa2 is a good tool to resize ur pics. use the "export" function. ;-) Anyway, nice review! Looks like i will be getting all of the CITY impulse sets except for the Fire fighter one. Maybe more of those Large Bin sets. heh.. thanks for the pics! Is it possible if you scan the rest of the sets at the back of the manual? Thanks in advance! :-D

Another reason not to hide your LEGO fandom...

hey congrats on ur huge "christmas gift"! Man.. how do i wish i have friends like urs! :-D I had the same experince like urs.. but in mine, the Lego was already halfway to the dumpster. An unknown neighbour of mine threw away an entire Freestyle bucket, with a few other parts which I dun actually know where it came from. But no minifigs. heh.. *wacko* You can read abt it here. Lego treasures :-X -
nice... now who will make a MOC of the Bat bike! hehe.. but can't see much from the video. will be looking forward to this movie! :'-)
-

Question: do people buy you LEGOs as gifts?
AzMean replied to Medievalego's topic in General LEGO Discussion
No one EVER bought me any Lego sets before.. not when I was young, not now and i feel.. not ever at all.. :'-( People closest to me knows abt my addiction to Lego but I never have a single gift of Lego before. I have been buying Lego with my own cash. Even my GF who have re-started my love for Lego last year never even bought me one before. She even say that I was being so gay coz she saw my Belville Advent Calendar in my room. My friends juz acknowledges my hobby as... just a hobby and will say "crazy", coz its not a common one in my country and race. its a sad sad world. And i just hate it when my young nephews and nieces says "so old still play Lego!". *sing* arrgghhh -
heh.. cute vehicle.. did you use the 7992 Cargo Crane set for this MOC? :-D we want the Vehicle in action! *sing*

well they will find out soon enough when the new indiana jones movie is out! :-$

so basically, all lego bricks of any color can get discolored? hmm.. so far i have only seen light gray & white bricks get discolored. but not the others... *wacko*
-
cool! Love the minifigs! they look exactly like the real characters. I just find the robot a bit too round and too skeletal at the bottom area.

i have to agree that the base of the helipad looks kind of ugly, but that's the best i could do at this moment. The helipad itself is quite heavy so i needed a strong base to hold the pad and the helicopter. I will try to make it more presentable by maybe adding a sort of sitting place for minifigs or a flower bed. I dun have much spare bricks in my collection and dats the main reason why i have to use those old bricks you see in the building. blue bricks get discolored too? X-O Thanks for the constructive comments! :'-) Thanks Hewman, Rupi & Marvin. X-D

I think TLC will prolly expand the hospital sub-theme in '09, like they already did with the Fire and Police Sub-themes. Lets just hope its a better set this time. And put in some shutters too! :-D
-
nice article. I also liked the soccer theme but not how they are priced. :-P I have always wondered why did Lego released those Island Extreme Stunts theme. The only thing that was attractive in that theme was the various minifigs. I don't find any of their sets worth buying. *wacko*
-
heh.. thanks! Looks like everyone loves the Helipad! *sweet* Too dizzy huh? haha 8-| it was cheap/easy way to get a 3D of the building. :-D Oh really? any pics of the place? X-D I have to agree with you, dats why I MOC it in the first place. ;-) Yeah, the raised baseplate is a turn-off, what more than to put it for a hospital. The Police station is fine.. but for a building that probably needs wheelchair access to all levels.. its just mind-boggling! *wacko* Thanks for the comments!~ X-D

heh.. thanks LuxorV. Still deciding whether to use a Black or Blue Legs for him. :-P

Haha... no prob Phred. You can use it! X-D Ideas are meant to be shared!

Actually, the helipad was the first to be built in this MOC. I bought the parts for to make a helipad for the Firestation actually but eventually, I made it for the hospital. It was kind of a headache putting the helipad together. Since I didn't have much experience MOCing buildings, one prob would lead to another. I almost gave up on the helipad actually. Thanks for the kind words! :-$ Yeah the original one was really sucky! It looks more like a "put-a-plate-there-and-call-it-a-helipad" kind of thing. No creativity at all. And then you expect the poor minifig doc to pull the casualty across the narrow plank, up the stairs to the emergency room. All i can say, is that the Original Hospital is the poorest design ever made by TLG. Expand?? heh.. I think it looks ok as it is.. but yeah.. i have thot of adding another floor and making it into a cafeteria or something. and also maybe add some stairs at the end of the building. Thanks for the suggestions.. will think abt expanding it when i have the capital to do so. hehe.. X-D Oh yeah.. the 45 degree slope. I hated that design too. It was more of a garage than a patient drop-off point, if you ask me. No prob.. Lego ideas are meant to be shared! :-D

yeah its a bit pricey due to the baseplate. I kind of regretted buying the hosp set, but this MOC makes me take away the guilt. heh. *wub* thanks for the comments! :-$

my sig-fig Simple and No fuss, like me. hehe.. :-$

HI Legolings! This is my First Major Building MOC. Presenting the CITY Hospital. :-$ I have taken apart the entire 7892 Hospital Set and built a new one with Bigger rooms and an actual functioning Hospital. The original one was too small, illogical and short to say; Cheap. I feel that TLG Rushed to release the hospital set that year. So I have taken my own initiative to build a better one. It is built entirely on a Curved-Road Baseplate. I can say 50% of the parts are from the Original Hospital Set. Take a look and leave constructive comments. ;) Top-Left corner: The Patient Wards. Top-Right Corner: Doc/Nurse's Workstation Bottom-Left: Waiting Room Bottom-Right: Cashier/Prescription & Medicine Rooms There are actually 3 Patient beds altogether. Can't see much from here, due to the pillar. :-/ Top Left: Emergency Room / Operating Room Bottom: Ambulance Parking As you can see from the above pics, I have re-used the ambulance Ramp from the original set to make the bridge from the helipad to the emergency room. The Helipad was meant for the 7903 Rescue Heli but the heli proved too big and bulky for this helipad. :'( And a 3D view of the model! X-D

Thanks for reviving this old thread, Bonaparte! :'-) Yeah.. the stickers were a bit pain-in-the-a** to cut into shape coz of it's size and that I only have a huge penknife. :-D Thinking of making another one (coz in reality, these bikes always move out as a pair), but that means I have to purchase another Fire Pick-up truck for the stickers. :-/ Decisions decisions. Thanks ExoBuilder59. Actually i got lucky with the paint job. Lucky that the color matches exactly with the Standard Red Lego Color. I didn't test the color first! :-$ Thanks Zeki. There are quad fire bikes as well? cool! any pics? ;-)
