Legobrandon replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Wouldn't mind either prize. If I won the trip, Billund here I come!! -
Good luck with that. The deals here in Canada SUCK. Well, there might be some awesome deals sometimes, but that comes rarely.

Went to Legoland 7 years after my last trip...

^ They glue the models, so it would be a pain in the butt to fix the discoloured bricks. -

Saw one City Hospital and one City Parking garage at the Vancouver LEGO store today. Both were behind the counter. Was in a rush so didn't have time to ask why they were there behind the counter and when it'll be released to the public.

Any market or interest in empty CMF packets or boxes?
Legobrandon replied to Big Cam's topic in Special LEGO Themes
And I thought I was the only one. But I have every CMF box other than Series 1 since they were VERY limited in Canada. I've kept every single minifig pack and pamphlet for each CMF I own. So yea, does that mean I am a LEGO hoarder? -
So I'm getting one full set of these minifigs, but also want doubles, anyone know which doubles I should get?

2 more Hogwarts Express's at my Chapters, at regular price though. Try calling your nearest stores to see if they have any in-stock.
-
Got a Hogwarts Express at Chapters (Canadian bookstore) for 50% off original price. There was a sticker on a resealed box saying "some missing pieces- 50% off". I asked the lady at the counter if I could open the box and verify the contents. And to my surprise, all 6 bags were there and the minifigs were in bag 1. But bag six was ripped open and the parts spilled out of the box. So in conclusion, the parts missing were: 1x red 2x4 plate 4x Train Metal Axle The parts can be easily replaced online so a great deal overall.

Does anybody know about this set?
Legobrandon replied to Bricktooth's topic in General LEGO Discussion
But then you need to hire people to pack the free item into a bubble mailer and ship them out. Plus, the shipping costs them cash too. But you make a good point. -

On the topic of toys in cereals, how come they have stopped putting goodies inside the box nowadays? It is all digital with online prizes and such. I loved getting Fruit Loops branded pedometers in my cereal or a little Toucan Sam figurine. Ahhh... the memories! -
That's weird, the image you posted above is from Toys N Bricks's recent contest that just ended today. But are you sure you have it in your collection? I'm kinda skeptical... lol.
-
Ahh... that is too bad. Don't have the bricks needed to build my post office. Plus, the mock-up I did on LDD look really stupid. But best of luck to you Multiverse!
-
Was wondering where you were. It is unfortunate you had to disassemble the layout. But on the bright side, I look forward to the new one!

Was at a book store and they had the HP Express for 50% off original price ($109). But the box has been opened and taped shut again and there is a little note saying "some parts are missing". Pondering whether or not I should buy this risking $55. Thoughts?

Somewhat off topic, but is the poutine at Costco good? New York Fries is wayyyyy too expensive for my liking.

Brings back the Vancouver 2010 memories.

Wow, really?

Legoland Shop Question
Legobrandon replied to Lieutenant_Colonel_Fifi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The last time I went to LEGOLAND California was in 2010. I checked out the huge gift shop and all the sets seemed to be at regular price. The price showed on LEGO.com and in the catalogs. Hope this helps! -
Plenty of those at Bellevue, WA. I thought I put more into my cup, but only got one. :(

Lego hockey arena? I'm talking 18,000 seat ones
Legobrandon replied to The Snake 87's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks for the link Prateek, I love the Brickshelf MOC except for the out side of the building. But Coyotes, eh? How did you enjoy their playoff run? lol Go Canucks go! -
I regret not getting more of the 6x16 plates. What was I thinking? Only 4? I also need 100 more stems to complete my MOC and the Vancouver store does not have any. :(

Buy from trusted sellers. Ask some members for their positive experiences with specific stores so you can feel safe. So if you don't buy from BL, where do you get your parts?

Good for you for leaving it on the shelf. But you should of have told an employee. This happened like a month ago: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69976&st=0&p=1290935entry1290935
