  1. Ball factory update: I finally was able to update the spiral lift and hopper of my ball factory build to be more accurate to Akiyukis version. The way the balls roll into the lift is a lot better and is based off the step v2 spiral. So far it can hold a lot of balls without jamming.
  2. marble run update: file is now complete with the matching tubes as well thanks to @Philo for doing that part. now to order the parts and build it
  3. im also preffer to support gobricks now, esp after all the stuff ups from lego, gobricks has been great, not sure why RB is so against them, is there another site like RB that fully supports gobricks? if so i would love to move my gbc stuff over there, i also canceled my designer plan some months ago and i wish i could get a refund for all the months i supported this site.
  4. greetings all, i have been absent from here for a while but i have some unfinished business with some of the modules in the project, the stepv2 have been a module that has been sitting in my gbc room for some years waiting to be rebuilt to an updated version, well that time has come, @Ankokusent me a the file for his updated version some years ago and its time to make some new instructions to replace the version currently on the first page. many changes have been done, the spiral lift being one of the biggest as it was totaly wrong. Andy bell is currently testing the build as we speak so i will post the instructions here when finished. i have to say, it runs flawlessly now with no major issues, this one have been on my to do list for many years. heres a photo of my build. also on my to do list is do this updated version of the marble run, its one of the only modules i have not displayed and would like to add this to the front page, would anyone be up for doing the file? im happy to order the parts and test build it https://blog-imgs-56.fc2.com/l/e/g/legokarakuri/CIMG1859b.jpg
  5. could it be due to a lack of grease on the shaft on the 6l pumps? some silicon spray would help if this is the case
  6. thanks, it all comes apart into each module, then you just restack it all when you set it up again
  7. nice to see more people building this monster of a module, i just completed my tower 2 build which took 2 years. how reliable is the pole dancing quartet module?
  8. yes im curently having the same issue, i wanted to get some stuff for my new brickowl account but cant even log in im so angry right now
  9. im also in the same boat, they removed 4 of my GBC mocs despite having permission from the designers to post the instructions, im also ready to cancel my plan and say bye, also hate the fact they hate brands like Webrick who are great and i have used many times.
  10. if you use the timing set up from the v2 instructions the thin eclipse piece that lifts the bucket placer is turned 90 degrees forward i think which then allows all the parts to come into the bucket wheel at the same time, then you can remove the extra bucket once timed
  11. looking good, i see you added the extra stud gap at the spiral lift like i did with mine, its a fairly reliable module once set. did you do the timing change for the bucket placer?
  12. looking good so far @Fyredog when you get to the bucket placer there is a timing error the part that lifts the placer is 90 degrees out i think the way its shown in the V2 instructions is correct and then allows for the removal of one of the buckets as everything can be timed with a larger margin for error.
  13. i used the 3 drive points from the original version the bucket tower has about 30 pass points so putting the drives every 10 buckets works quite well, you may need to gear it down abit but i can hand crank the whole tower and the 5 modules which are also connected to the same drive very easily
  14. for the backlash issue on the gbc tower, i ran a common drive axle all the way up the length of the tower. this ensured that all the buckets were powered from the same drive and also keeps backlash to a minimum, like @Jude The Lego Dude has already said this is the best solution as if you go any higher than the 8 buckets the backlash gets really bad. i can reactivate that 4 bucket tower page if needed.
  15. @Ankoku did you notice that the drive shaft feeding into the bucket dumper gearing is at a slight angle upwards? if this is true then the bucket dumper gearing must be one plate higher meaning that the dumper will stay open for a bit longer when the shifter is moving across.
