Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
The-Nexu replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Over on the MOD Mos Eisley thread www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=115843&st=0&gopid=2361176& user TheBear posted an image of some minifigures based off of characters in the movie. However, I cant see and so I was wondering if anyone knows any of the pieces used for these? Thanks! -
Help with parts to create custom lightsabers
The-Nexu replied to Sneakguest's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm guessing that you mean just regular minifigure scale lightsabers. Well, you have the regular hilt in chrome silver, mettalic silver and grey, as well as gold, white, dark grey and black. Count Dooku, Ventress and the Inquisitor have special hilts too, and Kylo Ren from the new movie might also but I can't remember. On top of this, there are the two BrickForge hilts which I am pritty sure are Darth Vaders and Lukes second hilt. Ninjago introduced a slightly different lightsaber hilt with studs pointing outwards on one end which could look cool even if lego never used it as an actual hilt for a lightsaber, and the same goes for the telescope piece and even the carrot. For the blades, there is blue, red, purple and two slightly different types of green. Lego also made a trance yellow bar in this years green lantern set which could be used. In the clone wars sets, a black blade is used for the darksaber. In the now non cannon EU, there were bronz, silver, gold and white lightsabers and while I'm not so sure about bronz, I think you could do gold, silver and white if you didn't mind them being opaque. There were also light clubs which were larger lightsabers which could be recreated with a regular hilt with a silver stud on each end and three or four translucent 1x1 round bricks attached. Brick forge also made the the pulse ray and laser beam pieces which can be used as blades. Also, on Firestar Toys, I found them reselling glow in the dark blades from a place called Galaxyarms. I got some and I think they were really nice. I hope this helps. If you were talking about lightsabers in the form of that Lego Ideas set, then I cant help you there. -
It might be in an UCS set, but the r2 unit in the Sandcrawler resembles one seen outside the canteen. If you have this set or can find the minifigure at a good price, it could be used to fill out the outside of the canteen.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I am thinking about getting the new Milenium Falcon but I have a question. Would it be possible to change it to the OT one? I want to be able to change it from one to the other. I know that the dish would need to be changed to a round one but is there anything else? I can't see and so if i'm missing a massive problem then could you please tell me? Also, if it is possible, then could someone tell me the piece or pieces used in the past for the dish? Thanks! -
Next years rebble battle pack also contains a Rodian wich could also be mixed up with other parts. Also, the droid escape reportedly includes two Jawas as well as R2-D2 and C-3PO who I guess you could build a cupboard for them to hide in if you wanted.
-
So, what set images are we currently lacking? I know we don't have a few TFA sets and the droid escape but are there any others? I'm currently holding out on any TFA sets until we know all of next years sets so I know what I should get to get all main minifigs. That, and I'm just not excited enough for sets based on a movie that isn't out yet.
-
These sets sound interesting, but as I can't see could someone please tell me what minifigures are included in each one? Also, could someone tell me what the rumored list of sets that apparently includes a geonosis arina is as it only seams to be an image and not in text. Thanks! I find it interesting that the droid escape isn't in these pictures. I'm probably just being hopeful and so thinking too far into it but could it be that this picture isn't there because they need a bantha mould wich would take longer to produce? I can dream.
-
Thanks for the descriptions! These sets sound somewhat average. The freezing chamber could be interesting for the figs and the escape pod will probably have interesting redesigns. Apart from that, nothing seams verry intresting. I reckon if the freezing chamber would connect at all with a larger set then it would connect by attaching to the top of another set. There could be pins that aren't in sight but I don't think so because of the steps. I will hold out hope for the bantha until the end.
-
They made a Larz Homestead minibuild? That's pritty cool. Anyway, new set discriptions? That's "so cool! No nead to tell me to get hyped, I'm already on to that! I hope that the escape pod isn't just the pod.
-
I really don't understand what TLGs obsession with Hoth is. Yeah, the seen is memorable but no more than any other part of star wars. While Bespin has gone neglected for 13 years and things like the exicution seen from AOTC and the Larz moisture farm haven't even been touched on. What child is going to see a snowy turret with some generic troops next to a jedi starfighter with memmerable characters and want the technologically advanced pile of snow. At this point, even children will have all the Hoth they want with the battle of Hoth, the snowspeeder and the ATAT. I really wish Lego would move away from frosty the snowturret to bring us new stuff that would make sence to do that they just haven't. Lego, I've got a Tauntaun, now give me a Bantha! I really want that Bantha!
-
If the Bantha was in any of these sets then I think that it would be in the droid escape but they would probably oversize and overprice this set if they did. The rancor and the Dewback were both in sets that were above 60 pounds. If the Bantha was here they would either make the pod far too big or they will add some side builds like part of a cave for the Jawas. They would then use the bantha as an excuse to make this smaller set more expensive. If they didn't do this it would be in a TFA set or in a retail exclusive. To be honest, I don't care what it comes in as long as we get a Bantha at last. It could be in Hoth Attack for all I care.
-
So, what do we currently know about that Bantha that was in that mini movie? Do you think that it wil be in the droid escape or maybe a TFA set? I've been out of the loop for a while and this rumor seams really interesting. The Bantha is one "of my faivarote star wars creatures and if this model is the next Bantha then that is awesome!
-
I doubt that the wolf sets are TFA baced. This is because there are wolf sets in both rebels and systom lists. I think that they are just sets that we don't know about yet. So this still leaves room for a Nexu!
-
So, Lego is bius towards the snow? It's a conspiricy! About the animals, a caadu seems most likely. They wouldn't redesign the Tauntaun and the wampa wouldn't be included in the Echo bace. However, I would prefer a Bantha over a Caadu. I mean, we have a Caadu and the Bantha is just as, if not more, important. I would also like a Nexu. Nexus are awesome!
-
So, I've been thinking about what the 2015 animal is [if there is one]. From what we've seen so far, it's either an unneeded Tauntaun or wampa redesign or a verry much needed Caadu redesign. Of cause, it could be an animal in a set that hasn't been revealed yet. It seems verry likely that we'll get a wolf.

The fact that TLG never anounces the end of a theme is what makes me nervous. It seems that middle earth is fading away. However, I can imagine the Elves theam coming in useful when mocing up places that TLG DIDN'T SO i guess that it isn't that bad if it goes away. This is Lego, after all. If TLG can't be bothered, then you can be! That could make a good catchphrase.
-
thanks, Hypernova! I understood most of what you were describing so, good job! However, I didn't understand what a profile brick was or what type of horns were being used. I know what the 1x1 tooth plate is but what are the other kinds? Still, thank you verry much!
-
I believe that while there's life, there's hope. Until TLG oficialy anounces that it has been discontinued we can hope. It is possabol that Lego is putting this theam on hold for the new Pirates theme or they are trying some new wierd marketing skeem that involves making us waight. Although, the fate of the harry Potter line does make me nervus about this theme.
-
Could you please give me an idea on how the custom boars were created? Obviously the pictures are no good to me as i cant see and I'm terabol at creating custom animals.

I created it! www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103382

So, The Hobbit is over and TLG has neglected to make quite a few important minifigures and seens. These include Iron Hill Dwarves, the company in armor, Alfred, The Battle Bore, Ravenhill, the gate of Eribor and varius creatures. So, here you can post your ideas for filling these gaps or ask for advice if you're stuck on how to do something.
-
So the Hobbit is over and Lego left so menny gaps. From Alfred, to Iron hill Dwarves to Ravenhill. So, this is a place where you can post your ideas for completing the Hobbit or ask for advice if you're stuck.
-
I've just had an idea. Someone needs to create a topic where we discuss how we filled in the holes lego left in these movies. It would be a good place to get ideas for making iron hill dwarvs, armored elves, the company in armor or how people have created missing locations. Basically a lego hobbit mocing discussion and idea area. Lego has abandoned us in our hour of need and we must look to each other to survive! I would create it myself but I haven't figured out how to do that.
-
I've just watched the movie and it was epic! How could anyone not think that it was good? Even though the audio description didn't work i still enjoyed it. I didn't mind the sets before this but now I am really disappointed with what we didn't get. Oh, well. I guess that most of the figures we didn't get could be made with brick forge and armor printed torsos.

Why don't people like DOS as much? I quite liked it, particularly the battle with Smaug at the end. Exactly how big is Smaug in the set compaired with Smaug in the movie? Does the big fig do him justis?
