Had a blast at the expo!! It was amazing, didn't knew the Lego movement was this big down here in south America, looking forward to the next events!!! count me in
-
you do know that isn't revan right?? its Kylo Ren. Yeah so excited for the Chrome trooper (captain Phasma) wonder if she will be chromed for real or just shiny silver like the now standard lightsaber hilts yeah Maul was really underused in the movies, good thing they redeemed his character in the Clone Wars, gave him amazing arcs. I am guessing we will have a press release for at least one of the sets from TFA maybe the new Xwing
-
man, someday i will have to learn how to do these ground vignettes, is it SNOT? entirely or just a part of it, is there some kind of guide to do this ground displays out there?? amazing crash scene btw
-
WRONG!!! lego has re released at least 2 star wars sets in the past, the original X-wing 7140, 7142 and the original Advanced tie and Y wing 3 TIMES 7150 7152 7262!!! it has also re released various other popular sets from the pirates line, the islanders line and castle and ninja too, So lego does re release, but it hasn't done so in while now. however a re release of the UCS falcon is unlikely, at least not an exact copy of the last one, maybe an updated version from EP VII

This, definitely this. I don't even know which market are they trying to tackle with these figures. I mean I love bionicle, but this is everything whats wrong with constraction. That vader does look somewhat ok, but I can get a better actual figure for less than 30 bucks
-
Well considering it has 300 less pieces than the slave 1 at the same price point, lazy design (basically just a big version of the last tie build) those little prints on the minifig are just not worth it. I will bricklink the pilot because of what you said, probably wont be past the 20 bucks tough There's only one wave of micro fighter per year, we already have this year's line up
-
Well, voice synthesizer technology has been evolving ever since, we might not need him for a less than a minute cameo
-
It has been rumored for a while that we will have a flashback of him at some point in the movie that will depict him commanding and therefrom acknowledging the existence of the inquisitors in the OT era

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
scorchfire replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, then you will be disappointed again, because that's an iron legion unit helmet a fully mechanical autonomous iron man creation, the one ultron crushed during the trailer, I guess we will get at least 2 of them in the avengers tower attack set -

Mnn the original biker scout helmet is super accurate it just need some printing on the nozzle and side "vent grill" and as you said the rots scout helmet is also very accurate but it does have screwy proportions because of the movie's depiction of the helmet
-
th battle droid carrier is rumored to be in the 50 -60 dollars price range, for the amount of pieces
-
Except there is, because rebels will recicle and re-imagine a lot of galactic civil war expanded universe stuff, tough I doubt the old Republic era will ever be touched again
-
I doubt the ewok Village is minifig scale, the trees would be a lot taller, the at-st log trap is far too close to the ground, and so on. The UCS at St is way too tall to be minifig scale just the base of the foot is taller than minifig. The chrome UCS Naboo Fighter is very close to minifig scale tough

well one could argue, as the v19 torrent original debut was on the 2003 Clone wars, but it also appeared on the 3d clone wars, so i guess you could count it as an old 2d clone wars set??? as for more sets about this series, well there sure wont be any more 3d clone wars sets with SW Rebels now in full force, no pun intended,as for the old cartoon series there isn't really anything more outstanding there that could make it into a set, the other candidate was the Ventress ship, but we already got that version of her in the azure angel so it would be redundant.
-
But Plo's fighter is already a set, and you could surely get it off bricklink for less than the 50 bucks +taxes the Azure angel is going for presumably
-
Totally forgot about that, yeah the gold hand was very prominent in the series, but it would be pretty easy now to replace it, as TLG has a knack to produce many golden minifig parts now
-
What else would they do???? V 19 torrent is already a set, and those 2 were the only vehicles exclusive from the series, the other option is the Ventress star fighter, but seeing as she already appears as a minifig in the Azure angel I doubt they will make one
-
Yeah Azure angel!!! really surprised about that Asajj Ventress minifig, straight from the original clone wars series. The last micro fighter is great as well, that clone pilot is very movie accurate and well printed, gonna bricklink a bunch of those for my ships, the clone lieutenant is the saving grace from that set, gonna bricklink a bunch of those as well. Those printed dishes look good enough, but overall the build is pretty meh

Most of the mentioned are already done one way or another. I doubt battlepacks are meant to be cyclical in nature as in every other year we get droid vs clones/imp vs rebels if so we would have never gotten the mando pack or sith troops. Yes, LEGO needs to up their game when it comes to battlepacks, but let's not forget that they are constraint to whatever the license provider says is OK to produce. I was aware that "no more the clone wars toys" was in act to every license holder such as Hasbro, kenner and LEGO itself, so there it goes 501st legion and phase II commander Cody minifig, at least for a while, maybe they had plans for them maybe not, but whatever they can do its limited and must be approved first by the license owner.
-
when have they done 2 waves of battlepacks a year? i dont remember. I doubt we will get more battlepacks this year, 4 of them is more than we have ever gotten making 3d cloth, and subsequently animating it so it runs fluidly and life like is very much more expensive than having static armors. That also explains why there was little to no hair movement on any character up until mid season 3, and the fully red robbed guard didn't make an appearance up until season 5
-
Yeah, in my case well LEGO sets were always a niche market in my country up until 2003 So only some themes were released in a mayor scale, star wars didn't, so I lost on many great sets until SW became widespread available with the clone wars series. Rebels will tap on many vehicles both new and old that deserve some recognition. The old Republic sets were decent at best, the Minifigs were the stars of the line. More SW games need the LEGO treatment... the good ones maybe?? battlefront, jedi knigth series
-
Well you cant compare, from the sales standpoint, another X wing with an obscure starship, the x wing wins by miles (and we migth just get another one for ep VII). But i get your point, enphasising in other starships, AT-something, vehicles and locations brings variety and flavor to the line; with a universe so large as SW there are dozens of vehicles(even in the new canon) that could get the lego treatment. Instead of doig ANOTHER snowspeeder or another sligthly different phase 1 jedi starfigther, seriously we got 10 of both!!, we could get reeditions that are needed like the TIE interceptor, bomber; imperial shuttle, or more old republic stuff(which i am no big fan of, but still would like for variety) or more old EU in general. thats why I like this new rebels line, it will bring variety as more and more EU/OT stuff is added to the series, bring more imperial corps and alien species and innovative building , hopefully.

yup droids are super cheap, hell some folks from my LUG trade 4 for a random clone trooper, easiest army to build. That makes me wonder if the 50$+ price is going to affect this set as regular droids are really not that popular, if they were another type of battledroid (maybe with backpacks or the dark orange one) maybe it would make sense but producing these minifigs is so cheap and i doubt the new printing on the gungan is worth the paying for a generic and non iconic carrier

considering that it is rumored that bionicle 2015 has been in the works for at least 2 years, this last wave of HF had a lot of time to be planed and therefore went out with style, by doing the last thing they were missing, integrating minifig scale and CCBS to the line. CCBS has a lot of potential and will be HF's gift to LEGO. BIONICLE minifigs?? i would like to see them in he style of the HF ones, but i think a playset line , like the ones we got trough 2005/2007 would only saturate the market with more action oriented minifig lines (ninjago, chima, SW) and wouldnt stand a chance agaisnt them as for minifig riding a giant robot ... i dont think it aligns with the feel of Bionicle old or new.
