  1. yay! thanks for the pics on the cafe corner setup. It is my plan for the future as well, but going to admire it in its existing form for a while!
  2. My pipe dream would be a corner store, but with modern styling with big floor to ceiling windows to see more of a detailed interior. Thinking like the little free with purchase lego store they are doing at the grand openings this year, but on a modular scale. I enjoy the interiors from a building perspective, but it seems like such a waste when I am almost always just looking at the lovely outsides. Or a corner bank with great architectural details.
  3. Great job on the roof modification! Looks like it was meant to be there! Thanks for providing the file. Makes me want to actually learn to use ldd lol.
  4. wow. I didn't think I would care for the masonry bricks, but it looks great!
  5. I didn't hate BLing CC and GG, but I didn't love it either - those skis were a pain to get! But, I am trilled with the finished products!
  6. once. One of the decorative clamshells on the roof of the PR would not stay closed for anything!
  7. well, I did bank a bunch and bought Parisian rest. for $20. However, it was a double points day, so I think I should have not used them since I only got double points on $20 instead of the entire set. Now I just use them as I get them on whatever.
  8. I set bricklink to notify my immediately when any were posted in my price level and acted quickly! I paid about $1.10 per brick back in september. still a lot.
  9. I buy them for myself, but allow my boys (9 and 5) to play with/build them with me (gasp!). Having said that, my kids have enjoyed the modulars without all of the play-ability and storyline built in. To me green grocer and pet shop were nice because there were some fully finished floors, but lots of open space for creativity. When my 9 year old "plays" with them, it is more furniture creation, or interesting minifigure placement than following a storyline. We shall see the verdict in this house once we buy it, but my guess is it will not get any more play time after building despite the added "play features", so in my opinion, keep them more simple on the inside!
  10. Thank you! I am unreasonably excited about it.
  11. Sorry if this has already been covered, but when is 60073 (truck/porta potty) supposed to be available in the US? I see it on the UK S@H, but not on the US site, not even coming soon. When I went to the store yesterday, they had no idea....Thanks!
  12. nice review! We love this set and think it is a great value with all of those minifigs! The couch is a little delicate for younger kiddo play in this house, but that is my only complaint.
  13. Hi there! No sure where you are, but I was at the cleveland, ohio store today and they did have it available pretty late in the day.
  14. Just built the double decker couch. I have to agree with others - wonderful value for the money with all of those figures and extras! My couch is a little wobbly with the design, but totally forgivable.
