LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Clone 01354 Productions replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well worded! I only display accurate, perfect scenes. Mixing up so many different colors, styles, and types of troops looks terrible in a display. Yep, these look like each other.......Can't tell the difference!! -

No one said go backwards. All I meant was that they need to make generic troops more widely available, and specialty troops in more expensive sets. -

So......To recap the last hour: Lewa has dreadlocks, Pohatu has a hover-boomerang, Onua spent too much time at the gym, the Protectors are either robots, or really obsessed with becoming robots, and *spoiler* the MoCr, the only thing Lego has advertised for the past few weeks, will be at NYCC. Productive day for leaks.- 16,226 replies

To give you an idea of how messed up the BP situation is: seagulls are STILL covered in oil! I'm sorry, but that was all I think of when we keep saying BP. But seriously now: I have been collecting Star Wars since 2011. In that time, i have accumulated five Kashyyyk Troopers, 4 Utapau troops, three Sandtroopers, 4 ARF troopers, two Bomb Squad clones, three Death Star Troopers, 6 super battle droids, and 4 Endor troops. I have three plain Stormies, no plain rebels, 4 plain clones, and five plain droids. That means that I have 31 specialty troops, and 12 generic troops. Do you guys see the problem? -

Why does Pohatu have a hoverboard? And really, the more I see of Onua, the more I hate him. He is way too bulky, and the Pakari is hideous. And at least we get more of a Nuva feel, what with the weapons-that-turn-into-unconventional-means-of-transportation. And please, in the name of Mata Nui, let Kopaka have skates!- 16,226 replies

Watch, this is Lego's evil scheme: 1) Release amazing OT Stormie in expensive sets; make hideous Rebel Stormies incredibly cheap. 2) Due to cheap prices, people will accept the Rebel Stormie and buy large quantities of them to build their army. 3) The next year, release the amazing OT Stormies in an affordable BP. 4) Everyone buys large quantities of these Stormies too, and double the profit is made. And, of course: 5) Release even better Stormie in expensive set. Repeat cycle. -

^^That is some tiny font! But anyway, I think that people just need to chill out about BPs. If we got generic troops every year, they would CHANGE every year. It would be harder to build up a uniform army than it is now. The problem is that we get variants that NO ONE CARES about: Geonosis Troops? Seriously? If Lego released a 501st BP, I would buy them like crazy. Same with Snow Troopers, Hoth Troopers, Endor Troopers, Scout Troopers, Super Battle Droids, etc. That is because these are popular variants that people love. -
Okay.....Battlefront wasn't my best idea. Still not my worst, though....... But in terms of REALISTIC sets, I would want Padme's Royal Starship from ROTS. It could be a UCS set, and include Padme (Pregnant......not sure how Lego would make that look.), Anakin and Obi-Wan (with burned holes in their robes), and an updated C-3PO. This set could only work if it uses a CHROME color. Not grey, not bley, not bley-with-chrome-paint-on-it (looking at you, lightsabers.....), but CHROME.

The ONLY thing that bothers me about the Rebels Stormie now is the torso: it looks incredibly angled on the chest, and the belt is too smooth. -
Finally! I found this thread! Okay, so I had an idea for a Battlefront line a while back: It could include background locations, such as simple hallways in Bespin, platforms on Kamino and Bespin, Death Star halls, Tantive IV halls, Mos Eisley buildings, Mustafar rooms, etc. Each set can include generic soldiers, and soldiers specific to that location. For example, if making a Cloud City set, Lego would never make a generic hallway and put Luke in it. They would make an iconic location. So, for the Battlefront line, they can do background locations, like the landing platforms or the hallways, and include Stormtroopers and Imperial Officers. These could be medium-sized sets, and could include 10 soldiers. Each set from the same planet can even connnect together. I really couldn't explain this well, but maybe people from the previous thread I was on can help me explain?

That is definitely not Matoran writing.......rest in peace, Matoran. And yeah, whoever attends needs to take pictures, videos, and should probably steal the display.- 16,226 replies

Homestead......Make it happen, Lego...... But I would like that setup, and it could work with other iconic locations: Hoth, Endor, etc. We need less army spaceships, and more Planet-Specific locations or vehicles. -

Yeah, I think so too. But that made sense: Lego wanted to do both anniversaries, so they did the larger one (ANH) first, and then did the Decade Anniversary of AOTC in 2013, so that they would not conflict with each other. But at least the AOTC waves in that year appeared throughout the winter and summer waves, whereas this year's ROTS wave is limited to Winter. -

Another question: Are Matoran able to....umm...."be born"? Like, can Matoran have kids? Because if the population just dies out in one generation, then there is a serious flaw there........- 16,226 replies

Question: How long are Bionicle characters supposed to live? Because wasn't the period between Metru Nui and Mata Nui a thousand years long? So then why does Takua sound like a kid? And they all have jobs in society, in one form or another, and are treated equally, so there is no kid and adult distinction. You know what it reminds me of? Spongebob: You don't know if he is a kid or adult; he acts like a kid, but has a job, and lives alone and owns property. The Matoran are just like that.- 16,226 replies

1. So.....Jedi Temple is implausible, but Cloud City is? 2. Boga was hinted at in both the animation, and the fact that we got a wheelbike this year. 3. The Corellian Cruiser would be fine to do, since it is an entirely different ship, and I honestly would rather get Bail Organa instead of Captain Antilles. 4. Yoda's escape pod was, again, shown in The New Yoda Chronicles. 5. Your argument about the clones makes no sense. 6. Oh, so the Felucia Clones are background, just like Kashyyyk clones, Utapau clones, Death Star gunners, Neimoidian warriors, Buzz Droids, Boba Fett, Bossk, and practically 90% of all the minifigs that were released. -

Well, of course ROTS got a presence this year, since they tried to make way for Rebels next year. I just thought that they would include additional Battle Packs, or some small sets, since ROTS is still pretty unexplored. We could've had 501st, Felucia, and Mygeeto Clones, the Corellian crusier, Jedi Temple, Padme's Starship, Boga (which was hinted at), Yoda's pod, and many, many more. Sorry, I was mistaken. I thought that BPs were released twice in 2012, but I was thinking of the Planets Line. But in any event, I still think it smarter to include some cheap sets in the summer wave, since I am sick of Summer being limited to $30+ sets. -
