  1. I understand many people want to collect Space People as 1 color each. But I like to mix and match as I've mentioned before. I wasn't that interested in the light blue torso until now. Goes well with orange arms and airtanks (which are easy to find). So now I need to go buy a few of these torsos
  2. Sorry if this has been mentioned. I just noticed the male Kracken/Viking guy has an eye patch. Is this a new head print? I like the colours of this minifigure but I'll modify it a bit. Not sure I actually like the logo but it might grow on me
  3. Which other original Adventures characters do you think Lego could bring back? We've had 3 I think- Johnny, Pippin and "The Curator"
  4. I saw someone else say 2 or 4 (can't remember) maps lined up so I had to go buy them. I only found 1 of the maps on pick a brick recently. Within the last month. The other 3 I bought from BL. Pretty cool less than a month later I see that the 2 new maps line up too. I guess they'll be on pick a brick at some stage. Maybe there won't be anymore, a total of 6, but I have to factor in the Yeti wanted poster so I assume there will be at least more sets. Therefore possibly more maps. If there is 1 more to the left then surely there has to be a total of 9 to make a square. I really hope for some kind of ancient mountain building or partial ruins. Which Lego Adventures themed character hasn't yet re-appeared? I saw the 2 x 3 tile too and am a bit confused. I'm ignoring it for now
  5. Yes the geography is a bit odd. Going east even more? How will I display such a huge map? :) I think the top left will be mountains. So what type of sets? Himalayan/Tibet Temple? Yeti? There is that wanted poster... Under the mountains I guess plains or desert. A quick goog tells me that deserts have foxes of course, meerkats, tortoise, jackal. Would they bring back the camel or ostrich? I have the old ones I should sell now before they come back again. The sets could include a Moroccan type city. Or Petra. Have to wait and see
  6. Too soon for rumours? Both new maps from the arctic sets sit nicely on the 4 maps from recent times (The top right map is being held at an angle so it doesn't line up perfectly here). The path goes off to the left. Does this mean another map going into the mountains? They can't just leave it at 7 so I predict there will be another 2 to make a square of 9 maps. What locations could we see in future? A savanna? Hopefully some different animals than just lions and elephants again. You know we do have savannas in Australia...
  7. Clearly Johnny Thunder is ziplining in with murderous intent. Destroy the railway infrastructure and protect the wildlife. Pretty cool little back story :)
  8. Always good to wait until official images. Some items can be stand-ins or colours might change. I think these preliminary pics are sometimes "accidently" leaked to build hype. Why are they always blurry? Anyways :) In this preliminary and blurry and not showing everything pic we've all seen, it looks like the wolf's left eye has a white ring around it
  9. Hikouki- is the Lego set "Story of Nian" obscure in your eyes? I think if any set has a nice build, play features and good minifigs, it will be popular and if it revolves around a traditional story, then there's education as a bonus. I understand the zodiac animal might just be thrown in as decoration, but still, I think a little set based around the story I mentioned above could be cool. Just for my own interests in mythology. Lion King- you mean you want set 80103, or a new version? I've been living in Vietnam the past 5 years so bought 80102 here and have 80103 waiting for me in Australia. I think 80103 was a world wide set. What do people think could be the next Chinese New Year sets? We had a house, we had a restaurant, we had a temple and a garden and a parade. What's left? Pagoda? A pagoda has just been released in the Monkey Kid theme so I doubt that will appear in CNY
  10. Greetings, I have been patiently waiting (or waiting patiently) for y'all to start rumors about the new 2025 Chinese New Year set. Here are my 2 cents to get the ball rolling. According to Google, 2025 is the Year of the Snake. What does this mean? It sounds bad, as I'm from Australia and snakes are incredibly dangerous and not to be trusted. Avoid at all costs. However, reading up on a few websites, I have found out, after 3 seconds of searching, a few interesting things that could make Year of the Snake Lego sets pretty cool. I recall there was a Year of the Snake set in the past. In 2013 there was a set with a red snake designed by Xiaodong Wen, according to Brickset. My hopes in 2025 is to have a set or 2 based around old mythology stories. Cent 1) Year of the snake is associated with wisdom, intuition and elegance. Also good luck. Even a protector. However, this can be different in different parts of China. Some believe the snake is untrustworthy. Cent 2) There is a story about a young female snake, Bai Suzhen, that was saved by a mortal man, Xu Xian. She then spent her life trying to become human in order to find the man, now in his next life, and marry him. There seem to be different versions of the story (in one, she was already human when she first met him), so don't shoot me if you know a slightly different version. Either way, an interesting Lego set this could inspire. What are your thoughts?
  11. Looking forward to getting some dark blue space torsos. I like the orange and blue above. I've just played around with gray in Studio and used trans-orange now that these visors are on Bricklink. Dark blue works with pinks too if someone is willing to try... I should add the green figure is a prototype from 1987 (which are now possible to make) that gave me the idea
  12. If rumours (correct spelling :) ) are true, an F1 series will surely have Sir Jackie Stewart in his tartan cap. Would be great to get a torso with a Benetton logo, not necessarily a racing suit. How about a minifig of the flag waver Glen Dix (google him), from my home town of Adelaide- Australia's F1 racing venue from 1985 to 1995. Nigel Mansell with his big moustache, anyone? There's a lot of opportunity to celebrate the history and some of the behind the scenes characters of F1. We can dream....
  13. Hi. I haven't seen any exclusives here. No official Lego store either as far as I know. That's why I went to 5 or 6 of them in Malaysia to see what BAM figs were available (not the main reason why I went to Malaysia of course) :) Hopefully things improve after the factory is built. Lego is very expensive here. My only advice is to look at stores such as "MyKingdom" which often has unsold CMF figs that your friend can try to feel or scan for the ones they want. Bit off topic but tell him to eat a bowl of Bun Cha in Hanoi :)
  14. I'm not sure. It was in the Bam tower. Bit odd. Anyways, I saw hundreds of tan Labradors in the Bam there and a few newer torsos. No Green Queens that I remember. I live in Vietnam (English teacher) and no Bam at all here, from my observations, unfortunately. But they are building an actual bricks and mortar Lego factory here so there's hope yet
  15. Speaking of parts availability (kind of), I found this misprinted head in Penang, Malaysia last week while on holiday. Looks like it's Christina Hydron from 2014! What adventures has she had over the past 10 years?? All other parts I saw at the stores were either the current pieces or ones from a few months ago.
