    I think Bain was already designed. They didnt go out to design a new figure for this promo. When they made Bain for the set they made a jacket-less version aswell. before knowing wich set he would go in. In DOS he spends a fair bit of his airtime without a jacket, So lego would have gotten the refrence material for that aswell. Seems like a 'wasted oppertunity' but there wasn't really an oppertunity there to begin with.

    i disagree. i dont think therell be mroe than 1 wave for each new movie. It's just more dino. the old movies are not big hits with current kids, and theres not really the best oppertunities for standout sets... the RV lab could be cool tho.

    Isn't that the same avengers logo as on the non movie winter soldier? strange. Guess its some overall new marvel branding. Well theres several problems with the star lord helmet. the printing and molding does not work together as it should. Most other lego molds are good tho! I think yellowjacket will praopbly get some sort of 'backpack' with the extra arms conencted.

    Um, nope. thats not how it works. Getting things early does not mean the quality is any less important.

    The sets are approved long before that. September isnt that early, it's star wars they are all about toys. Besides the movie is just top secret uintill it no longer is. Example: everything in the teaser was secret BEFORE the teaser was released. Now, not so much.

    The movie version was based of the comic version. as is the lego version. that doesen't mean the fig is in any way the movie version. Infact in alot of the comics he looks mroe like the mcu version that that figure does. I dont get why you guys are happy he supposedly works as the movie version, when you clearly don't seem much aware of how he really looks in the movie.

    Um they have to maintain a certain amount of brand correctness. just casue it's 2 avengers in a set doesent make it avengers assemble. Avenegrs assemble is a specific cartoon series..

    sell more action figures with diferent designs tho. But i guess it makes alot of sense to have the less known/new characters look the same as movies. But personaly I would very much like if they used the movie designs all over!

    I think 1 is a perfectly ok number of sets, what figs we need? Ant man, female, mentor, villain and possibly henchman? That said, I'd take any movies sets instead of cartoon sets any day. Oh and in a year with a full rang of avengers(movie) sets it would be a bit odd to release 1 avenegrs asseble(cartoon) set.

    If its really called "marvel's ant man" it does seem a bit more like the movie. Considering thats a very introductary name, and not something like "Ant man fights VILLAIN" Btw do we KNOW if the winter soldeir is movie version? I'm aware movie figs are most common in polybags but do we KNOW?

    well the majority of people will think the cartoon suit is the movie suit. so lego doesen't need to put the movie suit in the set to get that effect. would be weird to actively brand the set as the cartoon if they were to use movie designs.

    Well, no my 'research' shows that his helmet is quite diferent especialy the mouth, wich means we'll end up with a Mold for his helmet that does not fit the movie version.

    Thats abit of a jerk move to release a animated ant man set in the year of the movie. Should be noted his design is almost indintical to the movie...still movie figures looks better with detal. cartoon movie
