If lotr sets doesen't sell well and the hobbit sets does. There will be no more lotr sets while the hobbit sets will continue. ergo lotr sets would get canceled. Obviously lego isnt gonna saturate the market with releaseing new sets for both themes at once, not in any great amount anyways.

These particular "Mordor orcs" Aren't really the mordor orcs msot people seem to think. These are specificaly the worker orcs that works for Sauroman. They should not be part of any army outside of whatever you need for the Ent scene. I wouldnt not say orc forge should be a army building set.

No matter what had happened it was always going to have it's own url and skin. The hobbit isn't reliant on LOTR but obviously lego is gonna cross-promote the themes but it isn't actualy the same theme. Dependig on success one theme could get canceled and not the other... technicaly.

Would be great, but I'm not sure it would have the same effect. The lotr posters were somewhat iconic. I would prefer to see the real minifigures first so we don't have to speculate whats a new mold and wahts just made for the cg poster

Thanks! Nice seeing them using the image of a real minifigure. Hopefully this means it won't be horrible long uintill we get some new news! I'm guessing we'll get the poster recreation they had as a mosaic at comic con.

The hair I guess is what Kili will use, the mustace is an awfull lot like Bombur, the side mustache "braids" looks like Gloin and the beard part's shape looks like Balin I hope this is the case, but if it isn't it will be Gloin out of the 13. EDIT: I am 99% sure that is some generic dwarf compiled of other dwarves.

Only the hulk should be large mold.

Click for bigger image. If that is Gloin, then both the use of that hairpiece and the design of the beard is abit dissapointing, there should be more "braid" things in the beard. The only reason he would have that hairpice seperatly instead of a hair/beard piece in one, would be that at some point he will be wearing some other headwear(helmet?). Either way he doesent look enough like his movie counterpart. (I'm getting tired of the Dastan hair piece where is just kindof fits) BTW: The map being part of the game... Does that mean it will be printed?

I didn't think there were orcs in the warg scene in the first part of the book.

If we are talking movie universe here there shouldnt be a great amount of uruks. Certainly not anyone in armor. I think the lego elephants will be fine as mumakil, lego scale isnt that specific, and you don't want the mumakil that much bigger than the structures.

Eee shorter torso would mean less printing or having to rely alot on printing the hips, and that is always a little off(not lining up correctly). Personaly I'm fine with short legs not being able to move... I'm not sure kids are tho. Seeing as they wasn't all that happy with the old horse.

It is defenetly Elrond for many reasons, One of them being that they are replicating this facial expression: Another is that the chest bit is some chainmail and not decorated.

Tehe, both who have posted pictures have the rohirrim coming from the wrong side. I think you should replace the large axe things the uruk hai have, with spartan spears, Much more accurate. It's nice seeing alot of lego uruk hai together!

Well has they had any lisenced sets released 1st december before? Unless we get the announcments and reveals before nycc, it seems like a good oppertunity for them to show off some stuff.. Btw for what it's worth some of the action figures will be released in october. Is there some summer toy fair? (any pre february toy fair)

The wilhelm scream is one of the most immersion breaking thing in movies. I cringe a littl ever time I hear it. Don't think anyone rides the wargs in the first movie. so no. But the propably will be a set with wargs.

Last year they ONLY showed a handfull of minifigs so this year was better.

Its just the picture quality + reflection from the glass +the dark blue color. I've not taken out any color. He does not wear a cape, its the axe that looks like a cape, and the shadow is from the arms + axe.

Well giving away the good stuff for cheap isn't a good idea.

After a second look its the gladiator sword for sure. Just look at the last picture.
