  1. Thank's for all the feedback! Much appreciated! A couple of days ago I got my hands on the yellow castle for only 30 € at a second hand store. I remember being in kindergarten as a kid and visiting another kid for his birthday party and he had a Lego town with the yellow castle in the middle. So now I'm trying to recreate that memory in my own way. A bit of a mess at the moment ... I watched a youtube video about new houses built on other houses rooftops so I got a bit inspired.
  2. I like this. My dad worked at a tyre service centre before retiring. Spend a lot of time there as a kid on days off from school.
  3. Welcome back!
  4. Inspiring!
  5. Built a hill. Working on the area for the tourist kiosk. Solville now has a pharmacy! And a green narrow house!
  6. This rocks! Totally nice!
  7. Found this on the backside of the instruction for set 60097. What is Lego Worlds? The address http://lego.com/worlds doesn't seem to work.
  8. Well, City Square is a bit expensive but you do get a lot of "sets" in the set, and I like all those "sets". The tram is really nice. I would say that this set is a must have if you're building in this scale. The car repair was bigger than I thought. Wider than a baseplate and the front windows on the bottom floor opens up. Didn't expect that detail.
  9. Bought set 60097 today and it has turned Solville in to a chaos of construction :)
  10. Oh! I've actually only been outside of Tivoli, but now I have to go there! :) Not much is happening in Solville. I'm waiting for the summer sets. Here's the town library, and some cars I've recently put together. And here's the towns veterinary. A rooftop pool
  11. Testing out some cobblestone sidewalks. And Benny and Conchita Wurst is visiting Solville!
  12. Välkommen!
  13. Some patina is okay on sets that's over 20 years old, IMHO. Like windscreens on old cars. I just replace them with new ones. It has it's charm if older sets are a bit more yellow in the colors. But if I would buy sets from like 2000-2015 I wouldn't accept it, because then we're in the age of a wider range of AFOLs that should have taken care of the sets. Good pictures are allways of the essence, even if they show that some pieces are missing. Then I as a buyer know about what might me wrong with the set and if I still want to order it I don't get disappointed. Even from top rated sellers on ebay I sometimes get sets that are missing some minor pieces that didn't show on the pictures. That's a bit annoying.
  14. At the same time the limits forces one to try to find creative ways with that small space. However, the town is connected to my drawing table ... so maybe it could expand a bit ...
  15. No major updates, because I'm basically out of space ... I replaces my moc ice cream shop with the old hamburger joint. Put in the electric thingy at the repair shop And now people can see Solville from the sky! (The tree in the background always fall over when I during the day cover the town with blankets, so the balloon is there as a pillar to stop that from happening)
  16. I have a wish list at brickset.com for sets I desire that I use to check ebay deals through regularly. If a set I want is for sale at a somewhat reasonable price I strike like a ninja. And I also look for sales on current sets at local stores. Like during the summer there's often 50 % of at a toy store in the neighboring city where I live.
  17. I have a max budget of 1000 Swedish krona per month, about 120 €. But depending on how much money I have on my bank account at the end of the month I buy a bit more ... But all this will soon change because I've bought most of the sets I want for this year. I've gotten to a point that I have a large basic collection that for the moment doesn't have to grow to sustain my building needs. I've even stopped taking new sets apart for parts. I mostly buy Town/City and Friends.
  18. No, no interior. But maybe one day!
  19. I want to make something like this for my own town. Nice work!
  20. I like the layout. Been following your work on Instagram!
  21. Also added to more floors to the hotel. r
  22. Here's the restaurant "Blå Porten" (The Blue door) that I'm currently working on. Especially the kitchen needs improvement, so I'm going to look at how the kitchen looks in the Parisian Restaurant. [/url]
