  1. "Very well." Igaz turns to Dunola and Tester-Three. "Ready when you both are."
  2. "This place is a lot stricter than I thought. Looks like we can't disable Jek's ship any time soon." As Enson approaches the blue man, Igaz looks around and notices what appears to be signs above. What do the signs say?
  3. "Heh, I like the way you think but we should probably just disable the engines. Maybe remove some of the internals. We should not draw attention." "Hopefully we can get the egg before then. I can only imagine how expensive it will be. We may not be able to afford it even if we pooled our Credits together. We might be forced to take other actions."
  4. Igaz studies the ship on the monitor and listens to what Kyler and Kayarr have to say. He actually likes the idea of sabotaging the ship. "Heh, not a bad idea Kayarr. Consider it a contingency plan in case Jek tries to leave." "Thank you both. This information is very much appreciated."
  5. I totally do not mind it! I think a lot of it adds to the worldbuilding for Heroica 2.0. And I really do have a soft spot for worldbuilding although I am not that great at it. It has been roughly about two years since I tried it. And that is one of the greatest aspects of Heroica 2.0 - the unlimited potential! With the cloning thing, I really thought a lot about the Grineer from Warframe. Due to constant cloning, the DNA becomes unstable and the creature experiences genetic degradation as shown in physical appearance. Surely cloning from clones is not a good idea! I think something like that could be a plot point to consider some time. I will hold judgement on whether or not I think the events in this quest should be considered canon or not until the quest is ends, obviously. Chances are that we will not be playing these characters in the official Heroica 2.0 so I wonder what will happen to them... er us. But it would be nice to have a call back to this quest somehow.
  6. "Yes. What did Jek's ship look like? Perhaps we may be able to find clues there."
  7. I know the quest just started and has yet pick up but I am really enjoying it so far! It honestly makes me excited for when Heroica 2.0 launches officially. I even have been putting more thought into my official character though I am still trying to understand how to properly set up the stats.
  8. "Good." Igaz then diverts his attention to Kayarr. "Kayarr, how much longer until we arrive at Haurbo Spaceport?"
  9. As the hologram of the Sabrillo appears, Igaz appears to be confused. At least as much as his undead face can express. He has never seen a reptile with such unique features. "Cute." He proceeds to listen to Kyler Vannoy speak, absorbing all the information he is giving. Learning that this Sabrillo is the last of its kind makes him sad inside. "Exactly how do you know this Sabrillo, assuming it hatches, is the last of its kind? And assuming we can take it back, what then? It seems like it will become the loneliest creature." Igaz sighs. Just the thought of this creature's future being possibly the loneliest bothers him but he tries not to show it. "Tell me more about this Jek Flakko character. What exactly is he? Are there others like him on Gnorra?"
  10. Intrigued and baffled by the hologram, Igaz cannot help himself but swipe his hand through it. It is like the man is there but not actually there. "It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance Mr. Vannoy, I am Igaz. Exactly what is a Sabrillo? I am not familiar with this species."
  11. Igaz casually nods his head in response. "What else can you tell us about Mr. Vannoy? You say he's an activist, very passionate too. Just how passionate is he? Does he have a clean history?"
  12. "Huh... that's quite a name. I'll just call you Kayarr than." "So, Kayarr, what can you tell us about this Kyler Vannoy? And exactly who is occupying Gnorra? If we are going to run into trouble, we should know what we'll be up against."
  13. Mesmerized by the site of space, Igaz cannot help himself but enjoy the view. Exploring space was something he would have never imagined doing when he was alive... however long ago that was. He snaps out of it as the droid begins to speak. "Very good!" Igaz takes notice of the pilot. He looks too shiny to be a person. And certainly sounds unnatural. Memories of automatons come to mind. Certainly he must be one. "Apologies but do you have a name, automaton? I am not entirely accustomed to these times. It's a rather long story."
  14. I have no preference but if Igaz or Anton is available I suppose either one would do just fine.
  15. @Endgame I would like to participate in the test quest. Are we still using preset characters or do I have to set up my own character?
  16. Any updates to the trial quest or Heroica 2.0 in general?
  17. Sort of but in Destiny, the player is a Guardian who are selectively chosen by the Traveler. They receive a fragment of the Traveler, called a Ghost, to aid them in protecting humanity against outside threats but also the Darkness. The player has no set background where as some prominent Guardians in the lore do. There are also three Guardian classes - Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks - with different abilities based on three different “energy” types - Arc, Solar, and Void. Like I said, it is very extensive but that is just a brief summary of Guardian lore. Wacky quests like that are what I would like to see every so often. Not everything has to be super serious. We could also play around with the idea of alternate realities and dimensions too. Who knows, maybe in a different reality the Heroes are actually the bad guys.
  18. Maybe it is just me but I would prefer to keep the player organization either a continuation or a revival of the Heroes. To think that we are just mercenaries seems mundane. I think what made Heroica 1.0 special was the interactions between players and the NPCs. Rather than just switch sides because someone else is offering a better deal is just not very interesting. Morality played a big role in shaping the outcome of quests. There needs to be more gray than black and white. I said this numerous times and will do so again - the Destiny video games are a good example of what Heroica 2.0 could have. It really captivated the whole space magic setting. The lore is very extensive so for those who are not familiar with it really should listen to a video on it, especially with the Traveler and the Guardians. And remember that not everything has to be space exclusively. I am sure there will be many different planets to explore all with different settings. Time travel could even be a possibility too.
  19. If you cannot fill the two slots I will participate. Just consider me a final option. I also have no character preference.
  20. I personally do not mind if there are no pictures to go with the quest so long as there are tons of details and descriptions. Plus it would only be temporary for the test quest, correct?
  21. It looks great! It could use a few adjustments though. I think you meant that enemies drop Credits, not Gold. ? Are there going to be more Status Conditions like Corroding and Frozen? Corroded can degrade armor for a few turns. Frozen could be like a longer version of Stunned. Also wondering what will be the difference between Kinetic, Energy, and Elemental Weapons? What exactly sets them apart?
  22. Perhaps players can get Respec and Class Tokens by achieving Level 10 for free otherwise they would have to buy them for very expensive at the Market. Unless you want to make it so players have to complete quests to get them too. So for every 5 quests completed, you get a Respec Token and a Class Token. That being said, what would make the classes really all that different from each other? Proficiency boosts? I think Ultimate abilities would be a fun idea but am at a loss for their implications. And what about Racial bonuses or abilities? I want to create a Mechanical race based off of Dragonborn using those Exo Force robots. My idea is that they have a Breath Weapon ability. The element of choice is up to the player if they choose to play this race or another race with a Breath Weapon. But as an example, my element of choice could be Acid which deals -1 to the target’s armor each round.
  23. @Waterbrick Down Those kits seem nice, I am especially liking the Researcher Kit. Magic should not be neglected. Magic seems like it would be very fun to play around with in this setting. It reminds me of Destiny. This might be a bit early to ask about but are classes going to work like Heroica 1.0 or differently? And what about Advanced Classes? I personally would like to see an Alchemist-type class and a Mechromancer. I could help with ideas.
  24. That could definitely work to avoid powerful early game players. There could be three tiers of boost items. Tier 1 items could be equipped to a player no matter their proficiency. Tier 2 items can only be equipped if the player has a proficiency of 5 or higher. Tier 3 items can only be equipped if the player has a proficiency of 10. This is assuming 10 is the max proficiency. Speaking of which, how are additional proficiency points earned? Leveling up? Rewarded for completing a quest?
  25. Things like that should be fine. They could slotted in an Accessory slot or something. Equipping a Battery Pack could add +1 Damage to Energy Weapon attacks. Improved versions of said items could exist too. For example, an Overcharged Battery Pack could add +3 Damage to Energy Weapon attacks. I am not exactly sure what the equivalent would be for Kinetic Melee Weapons and Bows / Crossbows though. Maybe Kinetic Melee Weapons use Whetstones and Bows / Crossbows use Quivers?
