After only getting 10 minifigs in Minas Tirith it would be a disappointment to see so few again. We don’t need a trend of less minifigs in expensive sets.

I just get what I can along the way(griping about the prices as I go) & just hope I don’t miss out in anything I’d regret later. My biggest concern, where your dilemma comes from, is being priced out of the Modular buildings. Granted that may be awhile from now…as I own Barad Dur, a $460 dollar set. I am currently having an inner struggle with Minas Tirith. Even now I can’t fathom spending that kind of money on a toy, adult target or not, but man do I really want it. One thing I’ve done on recent years that I never envisioned myself doing…selling sets. But with the price hikes it twisted my arm & had a look at my collection to see what I would be willing to part with in order to buy stuff I wanted.

LEGO Ninjago Ongoing Rumours and Discussion
Vindicare replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have a Ninjago adjacent question. I was looking at the Movie sets on Brickset & when I got down to the bottom I noticed something I hadn’t before. A Toys R Us promo “Can’t Buy Me LEGO.” It talked of 1 of 5 dioramas, and the one shown is great. I don’t know how this escaped my radar, as well as a friend who is a die hard Movie fan too. I’ve done a little digging but can’t find much of anything on the other sets. So I’m coming to the experts. Anyone know more about this? The other dioramas?- 810 replies

A friend and I go a couple times a year, if not more, on release day. Best of all so we don’t have to wait for shipping. But then there’s the parts wall & minifig bins to look through and see if there’s anything good to find. Plus, it’s just fun going to LEGO stores.

Seeing as it’s creeping close to its retirement date, I would grab it now. Especially with double points going on.

Well shoot…I’m not exactly in a hurry either, but I hope it ships on the 12th. Gives me more time to find a home for it I guess… LEGO seems to be drunk though, it keeps shifting from 60 days to the 14th, back to 60 days…now it says Feb 8th. At this point I’m just gonna check daily to see where it jumps to next.

I have backorder question, and since it’s Barad Dur I’ll ask here. When I ordered it yesterday it said ship Feb 12th. Now it’s saying 60 days. I’ve never ordered a backorder set, am I right to assume mine will still ship on the 12th & the now 60 day is because they got more orders?

You forgot GWP’s are a scam born of greed.

The Calendar was the weakest so far to me. I like the torsos & even more that we got two. The builds just weren’t neat. The real world items were fun & could make for some good photos, but I liked them far more when we got scale builds to make a scene or enhance the castle interior.
-
We’re definitely getting the Baron. Unless they suddenly change tack & go in a different direction. With each large section we’ve gotten a common room with the accompanying House Ghost.
-
Just finished building Hagrid & Harry’s Privet Drive Escape & have been trying to see who those Death Eater masks are. One looks to be Bellatrix…but I can’t find a list of masks & who wore them, if they’re not all generic or unnamed.
-
Ha, I’m with you! We have a handful of classrooms that have nowhere to go. Once this system is finally done, may have to build our own empty castle section.

The "Greatest Innovation of the Past Half Century"?
Vindicare replied to ShaydDeGrai's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is tricky. I want to say acknowledging adults, but honestly, I’m not sure. I think that really fueled the recent price hike… And a big focus for me has been Harry Potter & Monkie Kid. Since the HP reboot they’ve been knocking it out of the park. The wands still continue to awe me(considering they used a bar in the 20101/2011 reboot). And now the wands that you can attach parts to. MK gave us some of the best minifigs of the last couple years. Creative designs & cool new parts. So I’m gonna say the minds behind the themes we have & love. They continue to improve, impress, & surprise us. -
Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Vindicare replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Something I just realized(and very well could’ve been mentioned pages back) is that with each castle section we’ve gotten a common room with their respective House Ghost(starting off with the best House, Hufflepuff) So we’ll finally be getting the Bloody Baron with Slytherin’s common room next. I’d also like to see a remake, and better, Whomping Willow. It would probably be too much to hope for just the tree & Anglia…but it would be nice if no castle part was added so they could focus on the Willow. -

If they didn’t have budget for a full grown doe, then that would definitely be a happy medium.
