Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Ritz Brick replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Does anyone know if there is any life sized brick-built Star wars minifigures? -
I like how the lightsabre turned out, is that the newer dark blue blade? or just the regular cyan?

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Ritz Brick replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I doubt that, unless the whole storm trooper was redone, which won't really work. They just wouldn't fit in with any of the other stormies. -
Well I'm glad this investment is going up. I'm always busy trying to keep mine clean...

So I was just thinking since we saw Captain Rex and Commander Cody re-released into smaller sets from larger sets, that it would make sense if Commander Fox made his way back into a bigger, more expensive set. I don't really watch the Clone Wars, but for someone who does, what do you think he could re-appear in?

Looks really good, definate buy for me.

I know at the Lego store here, any promotion the website has, they have in store as well. They just might not advertise it as much. and yes it is on the invoice it will say something like "FREE xxxxx Black ARF Trooper" something like that and then just say $0.00

Ah, now I see. It's backwards. So does anyone have an idea for what the rebel helmet will look like? It's looking to me like it will turn into Zev...

Sorry if it's been said, but what are those things on either side of Gunray supposed to be?

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here. I'm pretty sure it's going to be just a regular imperial officer. I don't know why everyone thinks he's supposed to be named.

I believe the proper line is "damned dirty ape". and it's fine you can use my shot.

Being on the topic of 10188, if I bought it, I'd like to be able to attatch plates on the outside so it would be like a smaller version of 10143. Anyone have any ideas how? -
A couple new ones by me. "I wondered why you hadn't been saying much lately." "Just call me Boba Fettish"

How can you get two pilots in the LAAT/c (jokes) But I think I remember in the '03 series. Regular clone pilots flew V-19's. -
I just love Tatooine Dioramas and this one is looking very promising (as always). One little nitpick are the domes on the top of the buildings. I find that using SNOT with stacked plates makes a much smoother semi-circle. Similar to the Taj Mahal.

What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
Ritz Brick replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't really think people need an army of Gamorreans. (same people who would need an army of Assasin Droids). As nice as it would be to have 4 or so. I don't know if this has been said, but why not just a regular old Gungan battlepack. With the leader (forgot name, not Boss Nass), Jar Jar, 2 Gungan soldiers and a Kaduu with some kind of catapult. -
Somebody once said "you must have a lot of clear bricks". I'm not sure if these count, but if they do. There is a lot of them. So my point is, when I use these. I make a box using two. Then keep building up. But after I get about 20 bricks high they start swaying. So does anyone have an idea on how to keep it sturdy with using only clear parts?

All these hopeful Minifigures seems very unrealistic to get in Jabba's Palace. If this set ever does come into fruition. We're going to get Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, 3P0, R2 redesigned Jabba and probably Bib. and also some weird brick built Rancor. You're either going to pay $200 for a poorly buiilt palace with a lot of figs or a $100 set with good building and a few figs. Max Rebo and the dancers were hardly even important characters in the movie. So I don't see why they would be created. I'm like the generic torso of the Naboo pilot some possibilities of making a couple more Naboo guards.

Both of my ARF's have the normal pointy visor. But the grey part over the mouth is poorly painted and makes them look cheap.

You have to agree with fallenangel that it is impossible to get 100% accuracy. I also agree with him on most cases where someone will build a MOC and there are faults they may not know. It seems like a lot of people consider him to just be this really cruel person who downsizes a lot of people's work. But you also need to take this from the non AFOL positition and imagine a little kid looking at a poorly designed X-Wing, and they'll just say. "Oh cool, I giant X-wing" and not relaly care about the inaccurate angles.

Review: 2263 Turbo Shredder
Ritz Brick replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Ok, so it turns out that mark on Jay's eyebrow is supposed to be there. In my review of the same set I mention it. and is it just me or do Cole's eyebrows remind you of a bumblebee? -
Posting my first review here and noticed that this one hasn't been done yet. Quite an interesting vehicle to say the least. The amazing Frakjaw minifig was what compelled me to buy this set. Informations Item Number-2263 Pieces- TLC says 223 but on my box it says 298. I dont think I'm going to check Price- $39.99 CDN/$29.99 USD/26.99 GBP Age- 7-14 TLG Description Front box pic, interesting it doesn't really show off the main feature of the set, rather the golden sythe and the Ninjas. Wonderful artwork though. Mine says 298 pieces... On the back it shows us the biting feature and at the top it shows off the figures included in action poses with their names underneath. Good for the dull eyed collector. Box Contents: This box is actually full. 3 Numbered bags, 2 instruction books and 6 loose parts. No stickers here. 2 bent Instruction books seems very unnecessary for 223 298 223 whatever number of pieces. Instruction front shows off the same box art on the front. What I like is in the back of the 2nd book it shows off a battle scene and a nice list of all the Ninjago characters in action poses. Plus some freaky looking children playing the actual game. I think these two could become friends. Luckily there is no grass in my house. Minifigs: 3 are included, Jay and Cole the ninjas in regular garb plus the skeleton of fire, Frakjaw with the Golden Sythe Jay seems to be missing part of his right eyebrow (both mine have that same mark) and Cole has a lazy eye. Frakjaw is just 100x better with that hat on which has lovely detail. Reminds me of some kind of freaky megablocks scarecrow. Pieces of Interest: I believe the wheels were used in Power Miners set but they were grey. The only printed piece in the set. The Build: We start off building the middle section and the mechanism for making the 'jaw' open and close. The black technic piece coming off the gear will attach to a technic pin on the jaw part. Before adding the front treads. So when the front treads roll, it turns an axle, which turns the gear which makes the black technic piece from before turn thus making the jaw roll forward. The back wheels attatch together nicely. Creating a neat All-Terrain feel to it. The finished set. Prepared to get destroyed by exposed Technic! I really like the way the curved bone pieces fit around Frakjaw, gives the area a nice smoothness. The fire is a bit weird to me as it goes up at almost a 45 degree angle. Frakjaw is truly a madman behind the wheel... or should I saw weird little lever. At least its something compared to the motorcycle. Random instruction page. Parts Inventory So that's the end. I would reccommend this just because Frakjaw is such an amazing fig with the hat and red shoulder armour. Nice way to get one of the golden weapons and 2 ninjas.
