  1. The video looks great, if this is the entire 'UCS Echo Base' then its a HUGE disappointment for me! Why throw in the Wampa cave set, the battle of Hoth set and a horrible little control room similar to 7666? I really like the new figures, especially the main characters. The annoying thing for me is that I have spent a lot of time and money building up a rebel trooper and snow trooper army which don't match the new designs. Even if this is a 'UCS Playset' like the ewok village it still doesn't meet my expectations because as others have said, it crams too many small elements in rather than delivering properly on one or two key elements of the base. I would much prefer a decent medical room, control room and hanger than another Wampa cave, more trenches, small doors that a MF or X-wing wont fit through and some more snowspeeders. I'll still be buying it on day of release though just for the new figures
  2. My Tydirium arrived yesterday and i built it last night. Excellent build and the finished article is impressive. The new endor figures are great too. I was dubious about the price tag, now its built I definitely think its worth it
  3. I really like that storage solution, very neat. Where is it from please?
  4. Love that, one of the best I have seen Excellent work, I look forward to watching this progress
  5. Yes, I've got mine and Boba is awesome! the only disappointment is his head! they have used a standard clone face rather than the Boba/Jango version
  6. My complaint is about the print quality rather than the spelling mistake. It will be interesting to see if they correct the spelling mistake when they send me a replacement...
  7. I've just picked up the microfighters snow speeder, just for the "Snow Speeder Pilot" who will be added to my growing Hoth collection. I also bought the Shadow Troopers BP and the new Stormies BP. The shadow troopers look excellent! great figures. Although I'm not a great fan of the newer 'Sad mouth' on the stormtroopers helmet, they actually look ok with the originals and don's stand out a mile like I thought they would. Very happy with these quick small pick ups
  8. TLG have finally come back to me to advise they are aware of the problems with the sticker sheet, and they will send me a new one as soon as they can. They dont yet have a date though? Strange as someone in another country has already had their replacement.....
  9. Mine is exactly the same! I too have written to Lego customer services and heard nothing back in over a week now. This is my first UCS and although the model is brilliant, I won't be using that terrible sticker!
  10. That Jango version is awesome! I only finished building my Boba version last night (took about 5 hours in total!!!) and already someone has modded it, brilliantly! Excellent work Fire spray 31
  11. Mine too! This is my first UCS set and although I am really impressed with the model, minifigures, the box and the instructions booklet, the amount of stickers and quality of the print on the info plaque is really poor for something with the UCS badge.
  12. I started building this impressive set last night and after just an hour its already a fun and very clever build. Quick question.... Does anyone know if TLG corrected the spelling mistake on the plaque sticker? Mine still says 'Tracor'.
  13. Have TLG done something different with the minifigs in the calendar? The torso and legs feel lighter, like the CMF series. I've never noticed this in previous calendars
  14. I've been following this thread for a while now........ and finally took the plunge and placed my first bricklink order of just over 2,000 pieces. Very excited to kick this off and finally own my own UCS MF
  15. Very clever makes me want this set even more now though
  16. I love it! i will definitely be buying this set! Really disappointed that I will have to wait until January though
  17. If you're in the UK, the book people are selling this for just £5. It's worth that for the figure alone in my opinion
  18. Excellent, thanks. Just got one from bricklink. Youre right, it is jackpot for Wuher
  19. some very nice figs in there! Who's head have you used for Wuher?
  20. That's brilliant! I love the bar, and the 'lap dance' Great work!
  21. Hi Scoonix, thanks again for the reply. My email address is andy.riley8@gmail.com. I would appreciate you sending over your adjustments Anio, I want to reiterate that I am not blaming you for anything or slagging off your design, it's great and I am very happy with the instructions. I just thought as the designer, you might have encountered the same problem. I will take some pics of the legs once they have been rebuilt thanks again for your help
  22. I don't have any mocro-cracks anywhere Anio, I have checked and re-checked! I finally built the other three legs and got them on my At-At. I took the sides and roof off the head, and all the sides off the body. My At-At stood up fine...... until 30 seconds later all 4 'ankle' joints exploded and the legs completely opened up, meaning the body crashed to the ground The problem is that the whole of the leg is connected to the foot by 1 small Technic connector pin and nothing else. It just isn't strong enough in my opinion. I appreciate you say your version is strong Anio, mine isn't though so i will have to look at a different way of connecting the leg to the foot. Scoonix, how did you solve this problem?
  23. Hi montyofmusic, thanks for the comments. It was important for me to get more room inside the head, which meant more weight. I strengthened the neck by sliding 2 Technic 1x16 pieces through the grey wheel spoke. I then attached each end of the Technic piece securely, one to the main body and the other to the head. If you look closely at a couple of the pics, you can just about see the Technic pieces as I only had white available at the time and the Technic end piece (don't know the correct term) is red Scoonix, I will have a go with the other legs this weekend and let you know how I get on. I did wonder if I had done something wrong myself and the leg I made, doesn't look like it will support the weight of the At-At. Anio, is there something I should be looking out for to make sure it's stable? Thanks Andy
  24. Hi Scoonix, thanks for the comments, and sorry to hear you are having problems. I have only built one leg so far.... I was waiting for a bricklink order which has now arrived. I remember thinking i dont understand how the leg/foot will support the weight of the body because they the foot doesn't stay fixed at the 'ankle' joint. I will build the remaining legs this weekend hopefully and see how i get on. I will post an update to see if I can work something out. Thanks, and good luck!
  25. Very nice! i really like that case is it custom made?
