  2. Updated May 13th I am selling these lots and sets on eBay: Architecture Classic Town Classic Town (BIG SETS) LEGO 6399 Airport Shuttle My Own Train Rolling Stock Any opinions on my pricing, questions, or interest in purchasing, please let me know... I can ship internationally...
  3. I just saw the Fire, Police, and Vehicle sets and I'm not at all impressed by the Fire and Police sets. They look very silly and very plain, I have no idea what TLG was thinking when coming up with those awful designs. I hope those aren't the final designs but they probably will be. The traditional City vehicles are NICE, they seem to pay homage to the Classic Town sets. I will definitely be getting those five sets when they're released. I hope the second wave includes a hospital/medical center theme to go with the ambulance...CAN'T WAIT!
  4. After seeing this thread I decided to do some research on Brickink to see the cost of buying each part and you can get most of the pieces for 10182 as well as 10190 at or below MSRP. However, as stated previously, some parts are rare and that will bring the price above the MSRP, but still far lower than the eBay price and even the Bricklink set prices...I may do it when I get some extra money. I refuse to ever pay those ridiculous, near criminal prices for a complete set...
  5. ^LOL +1 for fred67 for CMF trade... +1 for ZCerberus for CMF trade... Thanks...

  12. Yeah I've have a few experiences like that on eBay. First check Bricklink for the pieces and prices. You then want to contact the seller and tell them the facts, your item was described as 100% complete and it arrived incomplete, you tell them what pieces are missing and that they send those missing pieces, if they do not have the missing pieces you then ask for a partial refund to cover the total cost of the missing pieces (shipping as well). Do this all as politely as possible. If they refuse to do these things then you handle this issue through eBay...I have always had my issues resolved without involving eBay. Hopefully you have the same experience...Good Luck...
  13. Set Name: Freight and Crane Railway Set #: 4565 Theme: Trains Pieces: 914 Minifigures: 3 Year of Release: 1996 Price at Release: $140 Brickset Peeron Bricklink This is a great 9-Volt set, and I noticed this set had not been reviewed so I decided to take a stab at it. INSTRUCTIONS MINIFIGS ENGINE Very interesting design. If someone knows of a real-world locomotive that may be the inspiration for this set please let me know. Diesel engine detail. Electric lighting hook-up. It came with the set, unlike today's sets. ROLLING STOCK Two of these are included. CARGO TRANSPORT TRUCK CARGO DEPOT This set was a showcase for the playability of LEGO Trains... Cargo scale and Ballast Loader Ballast Deposit Cranes A lot of things can get done here... TLG needs to revisit their past for inspiration a little more... Empty Scale Empty Ballast Container Filled Ballast Container Too Easy... MISC Many different combinations What is this? DYNAMITE? LEGO seems to have a history of hauling dangerous cargo. CONCLUSION Pieces: 9/10 - It's the largest of any LEGO Train set, excluding the track-less engine/train sets. There are many different pieces with interesting uses. Minifigures: 7/10 - Nothing spectacular, however I love the classic minifigs because they were unique to trains. Today the train minifigs are not all that unique to the train sets. Build: 9/10 - Very fun to build with a lot of different uses of the pieces. Price: 7/10 - $140, by today's standards that's a bargain but back in 1996 it was a lot...At least that's what my mom tells me... Playability: 10/10 - This set is great in the playability department. Cranes, Scales, Ballast Loaders, Trucks...it has it all and can be configure in many different ways. I believe this is the most playable set in LEGO Trains. Overall: 9/10 - A must have if you can find it on eBay for a decent price. Great playability, fun build, 9-Volt with lights, fun for days, and a great addition to anyone's collection. Hope you enjoyed this review...Take care...
  14. In other news... It's in stock for shipping at TRU USA: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11815467 I doubt it will be available on line for long...
  15. Set Name: Red Cargo Train Set #: 3677 Theme: City Pieces: 831 Minifigures: 4 Year of Release: 2011 Price at Release: $159.99 LEGO SAH (USA) TRU (USA) Brickset First I want to apologize for the quality of the photos. Hopefully there will be another, more in-depth review by another member of EB. This review is my first and is really just a general overview of this set, so mostly pics. Enjoy... BOX CONTENTS I was disappointed in the condition the contents. Bent instructions, loose bricks that are normally in bags, but everything was there. I guess this was the first (crap) batch of this set. INSTRUCTIONS Since coming out of my dark ages I have extremely disliked the multi-instruction booklets. I wish they could go back to the One Set, One Booklet format... PARTS Seven labeled bags, the engine was the only part of the set split into two bags. The set comes with one battery box but two battery covers, a red and a dark bluish gray. MINIFIGS ENGINE The Engine is pretty large, I did not expect it to be about as big as the 7939 engine. No light capabilities, unless someone out there is extremely creative. Sticker alongside the IR receiver. Easy access to the on/off button. Comparison to 7939. Comparison to 4512 & 4564. Didn't even attempt a Emerald Night & Maersk Train comparison, Big Red wouldn't stand a chance. FLATBED WAGON & REPAIR VEHICLE I'd rather a container car but this is unique I guess. It seems to combine two 9V set into one car. (4546 & 4552) BALLAST "TIPPING" WAGON Tipping contents into the depository. HAZARDOUS GOODS WAGON Uh Oh... Nuclear Waste? BALLAST LOADER & DEPOSITORY I'm not at all sure what is the purpose of this track-side structure. How does one load this thing? No claw-crane? Tilt the ballast loader to allow the train to pass underneath. EXTRAS CONCLUSION Pieces: 8/10 - There are some different pieces on this set. There is a good amount of diversity and colors. Minifigures: 5/10 - Nothing special, generic Train minifigs. Build: 6/10 - Very basic, easy build, nothing ground breaking. Approximate build time: 45 minutes to a hour. Price: 7/10 - Of Course I would like it cheaper but I am surprised at the price from a piece perspective. It has eight less pieces than 7939 but at $159.99 it's $20 cheaper. So based on that precedence it's not too bad. Playability: 7/10 - There is some with the ballast wagon, flatbed car, and ballast loader. Overall: 7/10 - I feel this set is a decent starter set for those who are looking for a start in LEGO trains. There is however much to be desired, like a transport truck, a better road to rail connection from the ballast loader, engine light capabilities, for example. I hope I've helped those of you on the fence about this set come to a decision... Take Care...
  16. It finally arrived from TRU. I have never done a review before, but I may attempt one for this set...

  23. Either its out of stock or someone made a mistake at TRU and let it out early and they're now holding it back probably until the BOGO is over. I ordered mine by phone about 9:30am CST and I'd say by the afternoon it was out of stock for shipping on the TRU website.
