  1. Yes, the store had white horses, too. I just couldn't fit any in. They are sort of awkward to put into a cup. I had limited cash to spend anyhow. I'm extremely pleased LEGO has put so many great elements into PAB lately. Makes up for them taking a few of the bins for the Hero Factory garbage. :)
  2. Went to the LEGO Store last week and filled up a few cups for myself. I was floored by what I saw and had to stock up! It was so worth it... Best PAB loot ever... by Tervlon, on Flickr Here are the packed cups. I bit of Dark Tan, yum. Best PAB ever, breakdown by Tervlon, on Flickr Here is what I was able to fit into the cups. Highlights: Dark Tan 1x2 Dark Tan 2x2 Dark Red 2x4 Reddish Brown Modified Log Brick 1x4 Reddish Brown Modified Log Brick 1x2 Tan plate 1x2 Dark Blue 2x2 Corner Slope Keep an eye out for the good stuff, folks! I'd love to see more reports from people on what they are finding.
  3. I concur, if people really want to see the counts they can go count all the votes themselves.
  4. Congrats! All of these are Beautiful entries. Well deserved! The contest was a blast! Here is hoping lego notices how much we all like pharaohs quest!
  5. #18- 3 Points #2- 2 points #21- 1 point #10- 1 point Its been a great contest, thanks for all your great entries. I had a blast building and then even more fun seeing what you guys came up with!
  6. Beautifully done. Great layout.
  7. Ah, that is true. I guess mixing the darker flesh tones doesn't bother me. However, I can understand if it bothers others.
  8. Yeah, it is over the top! Sort of the effect I was going for. I couch my excuse in the fact that the Death Star had 24 minfigs! I tried to stress that at the beginning. Indy is actually a decaled yellow head (allowed in the rules). So no mixing of fleshies and yellows. :) I just couldn't resist throwing my favorite hero in. Thanks for the kind words!

  10. Great job, man! The idea of having a large plane for the adventurers is awesome. I'd like a set like this one.
  11. That is awesome. Very good idea you've got there.
  12. Amazing MOC. It is gorgeously built and extremely attractive, definitely something I would display. Thanks for sharing this great creation with us.
  13. The plane is superb, great creation! I hope you can re-enter it into the contest. It would be a shame to miss out on entering a great creation into the contest.
  14. Very nice! Micro scale is a fun scale. I'm glad to see something in microscale in the contest. Great job. The station is pretty nice.
  15. Best. theme. ever. I hope Hello Kitty is an Action Theme so that I can create my D2C entry in that theme. I might need some more pink brick though... Anybody have any spoiler pics with 'confidential' on them? :)
  16. The rules don't mention this, I don't know why people are talking about it. That may be the intention, but its not in the rules. I love this creation and I'm glad he made it look polished.
  17. Thank you! As for your Adventurer's club Blondie-Wan, do it! Can't wait to see another persons take on the theme. I love the creations in this genre. This one is ineligible for D2C since I posted it without entering, for some reason I missed the part allowing multiple entries, so you need to complete yours for the contest.
  18. I didn't realize that I could have multiple entries. I guess I should have made my Royal Adventurer's Society of London's building my first entry. Pays to read the rules! Can't wait to make an entry into the contest.
  19. Thanks folks! I wish I could take credit for the gorgeous piano, but alas it was sold at Brickfair as the souvenir kit. I was also planning on an interior but I think I've decided to do do a series of interior vignettes which allow for much more detail and can be easily displayed. As for my d2c contest entry... stay tuned.
  20. Adventurer's Quest: Royal Adventurers Society of London June 5, 1935 After a long trip to the darkest jungles, the coldest glaciers, or the most scalding sands a humble adventurer needs a place to unwind, relax, and share his glorious (and sometimes exaggerated) stories. I find the Royal Adventurer’s Society of London to be such a place! Founded in 1880 by a number of famous explorers among them Sir Henry Morton Stanley after returning from his African adventures, the Royal Society is a place for those who lead exciting lives bringing light to the forgotten realms of the Earth. Since its founding it has grown to be a formidable organization that has an aura of mystery surrounding it. Most people see it as something of a boys club and other academic organizations treat members of the RASL with disdain, the flap a few years ago with the Royal Geographical Society about that ancient Chinese map did not help things in the least! While the RASL houses Johnny Thunder and Dr. Kilroy's collection of artifacts they frequently host other adventurers and their recovered antiquities as well. Besides Mr. Thunder other famous trailblazers that pass through the RASL include Indiana Jones, Gail Storm, Dr. Archibald Hale, Jack Raines, Charles Muntz, Ellie and Carl Fredrickson, Rick O’Connell and Evy Carnahan. Shackleton, Stanley, Livingstone, Amundsen, Mary Kingsley, and others all dropped by or donated items to the collection at some point, too! While the adventurers are very competitive they never steal from each other. Some explorers have been expelled from the RASL for their conniving and violent ways. Baron von Barron, Sam Sinister, and Rene Belloq were all members of the society before their expulsion for not obeying the RASL creed. Tonight there was a delightful dinner party hosted by the RASL’s most famous member, Johnny Thunder. Along with Dr. Kilroy, the historian and professor who frequently follows Thunder, Gail Storm and a number of other prominent dignitaries and explorers were in attendance. What a good night of dancing and conversation was had! (The piano is the Non-LEGO produced convention exclusive set from BrickFair 2010 and is not my design.) That Gail Storm was a charming young lady! She has been on many an adventure with Thunder and always keeps him in line. She is tough as nails but still a lady. The party took an interesting turn with the arrival of some unwelcome guests. Baron von Barron and his Russian henchman Crazy Dr. Ivan suddenly joined the party. I suspect they were not invited! What a difficult position it put Dr. Kilroy and Mr. Thunder in! Johnny Thunder’s expression went from his normal swashbuckling smile to a dark look of suspicion as the Baron called his name. That’s when... What will happen next with our hero? Will The Baron join Johnny for a drink? Or will Crazy Ivan turn the party into a free for all? Tune in next week for more adventures with Johnny Thunder!
  21. Love it! A great addition to my favorite genre. Lets see more!
  22. Lol, Gail has been on a few more adventures than Pippin. Though I am not sure that either of them deserve the name calling! Johnny/Sam wouldn't keep a girl like that around, would he? He is a classy guy. I think. I will say this: You definitely wouldn't be able to trust Pippin with the bags of dynamite! Just sayin.
  23. Thanks legodad! There are a few hints on Flickr for one of them. In fact, you have commented on one. It's where johnny hangs out when he isn't chasing history. Better pics of the outside will be coming soon. The two other creations will have to stay a secret if you can dig it.
  24. Wow! Thanks for front paging this! As for more, you'll have to wait and see. There are at least 2 projects already nearing completion in this line of adventurers MOCs and another in the beginning stages. So far, I think (humbly) they are better than this one.
