Lame. Where are the Zombie and Spartan? This set really does look like a cop out. If the fisherman really won it is only because voting took place in the middle of the "I only got 2 fisherman in my box" craziness. I wonder how much they are going to charge for this, surely it will come out to be more than $3 per fig. Which will make it WAY overpriced. My verdict: FAIL.

Ralph, another wonderful build! The P-61 is a gorgeous plane and I feel you've really done it justice here. You even did a brickbuilt cockpit, which turned out great btw.

Adventurer's Quest: Tramp Steamer Genni-Anne
Tervlon replied to Tervlon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Sorry I wasn't around when you were looking at it! I appreciate the kind words. Its true, the details are the fun part of the model. If you are a DC local and you come to WAMALUG perhaps I could show it to you then. Thanks! -
Adventurer's Quest: Tramp Steamer Genni-Anne
Tervlon replied to Tervlon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
AH, you caught me! :) This was the first time I'd ever used photo editing software on an image and I just cut the antenna out as I couldn't make it look good. Newbie fail. ;) Thanks! Thanks for the kind words! The smoke really brought people over to the ship at BrickFair. The ladies would all look at it and compliment it and I had to convince them to pay attention to the rest of the ship! I threw the wheels in there as an homage to the lovely Steampunk builds that pop up around here. The curve of the ship really came out, buying the case of Dark Red brick really paid off! -
Adventurer's Quest: Tramp Steamer Genni-Anne
Tervlon replied to Tervlon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you, sir! I sure had fun building it. I love me some Adventurers! -
Just in time for BrickFair I finished another Adventurers MOC, the Tramp Steamer Genni-Anne. Tramp Steamer Genni-Anne At Sea by Tervlon Johnny Thunder and crew navigate the waterways of the World in the Genni-Anne as they investigate ancient tombs around the world! The Genni-Anne has been around the block a few times, but she is a trusty ship that always arrives intact. Interior Exterior Above View of the Genni-Anne by Tervlon, on Flickr The steamer is modular with a full interior. The deck lifts off to reveal features bunks, galley, engine room, office, armory, brig, cargo hold, cabins and wheel house. Boiler Room Interior by Tervlon, on Flickr Smoke Detail by Tervlon, on Flickr People at BrickFair really liked the smoke, I had to convince them to look at the rest of the boat, too. ;) Steamship Hallway & Bulkhead by Tervlon, on Flickr Steamship Cage/Brig with Prisoner by Tervlon, on Flickr Front/Top View by Tervlon, on Flickr Will Johnny, Jack, Gail and the crew make it to Egypt ahead of Lord Sinister and his henchmen? Find out next week! Remember, adventure is out there! Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think! Be sure check out my other Adventurer's Quest MOCs HERE.

While this would be great, it seems like another random wish thread to me. Pics or it didn't happen. ;)

Yeah, I always shop at Tysons now. PM is a constant disappointment when it comes to the PAB wall.

Went to the store last week and picked some nice pieces up. I fit all of this into 2 large cups and 1 small cup. To get all 52 wall pieces into the cups along with other goodies (100+ windows) I used this method. You fill the areas between the walls with pieces, create a column of them and then fill the outside with whatever else you want. It took about an hour and a half to do it, but my wife wanted me out of the house during her craft group and i certainly didn't want to stay!

Just incredible! Thank you for sharing with us. This is REALLY tempting to do as my modular space is pretty much used up and I don't even have the Emporium or Pet Shop yet!

The wagon cover and tepees are very well done. Great build!

I think its name is whatever you want to call it!

It was great to meet you Ralph! BrickFair is a busy event but I really enjoyed getting to know you. I thought that we had a fun group to hang out with all weekend. The award was well earned. Your jet is an amazing build and I am glad you brought it to show off. I hope you return next year!

The one day pass is just for the Public Hours as a visitor (11:00 am - 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday). You will not be able to register or display MOCs or participate in any other BrickFair activities. However, you will be able to see hundreds of MOCs from other builders, play bingo, and purchase from any of the vendors at the show. To display you must register as an Exhibitor here: http://www.brickfair.com/afol/ It costs $52 for Thursday-Sunday. To register you must be an adult (18+) or be accompanied by an adult (kids cannot be dropped off and they must be off the premises at certain times if alcohol is being consumed by the adults). There is a schedule of activities on the site. If you are going to register you had better do it soon. There are only 1000 paid spots available and the first 930 have already been paid for. After 1000 have paid no one else will be allowed to register for the full weekend and will have to attend as a visitor on public day. Hope that helps!

There is also Utah LUG. Don't know how I neglected to post that before. They seem to be quite active.

Very nice! I love me some adventurers and these pics are great! Thanks for sharing.

Great job, Dillon. Once again you prove your amazing skills. I can't wait to see this thing at BrickFair! I love the crane and the flooring, along with the damaged corners. Well done.

I'll be there displaying my table full of Adventurer's MOCs (including my D2C Excavation) and a bunch of Microspace MOCs. Keep an eye out for the 30's era Tramp Steamer, its about 3 feet long! Ralph, I look forward to meeting you. Magnus is having me help him coordinate all the military builder's MOCs and is quite excited that you'll be joining him at BrickFair this year.

I'm from the St. George area, but I'm living in VA now. There is a group that seems to be active: http://greatbasinlegotrainclub.web.officelive.com/default.aspx I've never run into any of them online or seen their stuff but maybe you'll be able to contact them.

Great build, the Toy Shop is very well detailed. I really like the revealed brick and the rain gutter!

Series 3 Torso spotted in Build-a-Minifgure
Tervlon replied to Legoroni's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice score. My guess is that it is probably from a return. I guess they threw it in their to make some money back on it. -
I can't stand to look at the figures. I appreciate the ability to connect hooks to the arms but the consequence of that ability is really ugly. LEGO minifigs are so much easier to look at. One thing that is pretty innovative are the studs with holes in them. I can see uses for that, but it also creates an ugly looking brick, imo. I'm not a purist (I'm looking at you BrickArms) but I'm not fond of the way the Kre-O's turned out. Oh, and the name Kre-O is awful. Its as ugly as the figs. I'm sure LEGO could use some competition, but I doubt these will prove too successful. Spending an hour building the truck and then playing with it and spending another hour turning it into a robot is far too complicated. I don't think kids & parents will even realize that the thing doesn't even transform until after they've bought it. That is sure to lead to disappointment.

Very, very well done. Terrific MOC and kudos to making such a large structure.
