V-LV-29F Thanks. You mean like this one; Sometimes I wonder if people actually READ my postings... <sigh>

V-LC-13A to V-LC-13B, and V-LV-30C to V-LV-30D ***POST UPDATED! (16/10-2011) New vehicle added on page 4! ***POST UPDATED! (23/9-2011) New vehicles added on page 3! ***POST UPDATED! (13/6-2011) New vehicles added on page 3! ***POST UPDATED! (28/5-2011) New vehicles added on page 2! ***POST UPDATED! (22/5-2011) Hya all! After posting the DS-mania! topic here on the forum, I´ve kept on building small (minifig-scale) detailed cars! First off, a very well known (if you lived in Europe around 1950-1970) delivery van; Citroën Type H Second off, the car "that you always promised yourself to get one day"; Ford Capri Mk1 1970 Third; Another Citroën Type H "Meals on wheels". The H-type vans had a nose-job after the initial photo-session. So they really looks like this now; The update; A(nother) 2CV was added too; The model is the same as already shown in my "One BIG moc", except for a small change to the middle window. A photo of the complete collection so far; What more to tell... They are mostly 5-wide, except for the DS which is 6-wide and the 2CV which is 4-wide. I think they are more or less minifig-scale. What (historic) car should be next¿? Bu-bye!

I´ve voted "Average" because of it´s great playability for kids (it floats) and it´s low price. But as an AFOL, this set is unfortunatly useless to me... However, the fishing-cutter in the background of the main picture looks very interessting. Is it a set¿? (ref?)
-
Excellent set for the money. Definatly going to get one or two of them. Mainly because of the big red (and to some extend the white) piece, in which I see a fighter airplane of a space starfighter. -Either as a nose of the vessel, or as jet-motors on the wings... Minifig is trivial, but it just so happens that I dont have any with the Octan logo...
-
Lovely! So many interessting -and funny- details! I like the big barrels. Will use that design some day!
-
Interresting project! I love the slanted windows. Might "borrow" that idea one day... ;-)
-
Hej Lasse, Tak for ordene! I think that would depend on what you understand with "cheating". That the cars doesnt roll, is already cheating to me. Tu cut, glue or in any other way modify a brick would be unacceptable, and far beyond a mere cheat... Hehe... (Painting is allowed, though) You can find a (somewhat dark) photo of the underside of the yellow car in my brickshelf folder! It might clear up some doubts for you...
-
Thanks (to all). Well, I must admit, that the cars do NOT roll! I think I have never made a minifig scaled vehicle that actually works. Neither do they seat entire minifigs, open doors or anything. They are "just" static models. But boy, do they liven up a Lego City display! ;-) (See my "One BIG moc")

This is my -slightly larger than- minifig scale Citroën DS 20 1970. (Around 1:32). This post is VERY photo-heavy, so have a little patience while the pics loads. If you are a car-nut, it will be worth it ;-) First off, a classic two-colour combo; Then the Break-version. The hardest one to do, and still far from perfect; An almost standard red version. Very similar to the blue/white one; A stylish black luxury version, with all the extras included; Finally, a police-version; ... Last photo, some details from the police-version (blue lights); That´s all. I could continue to build more of them though. Anybody want to buy one?
-
Well done! And fine of you to keep us updated here during the whole process. Excellent thread! Your next project? ;-)
-
Wow, Extremely many nice details in such a small space! (Well, not so small either...) I especially like the diagonal black/yellow striping on the floor (and door), and the textured grille-brick as door...
-
First of all; Thanks for the comments to ALL. I´m glad that you all like it! Nah, this one is definatly unarmed. In my "real-space" universe, arms in space are really only useful for upholding the law (maybe against pirateering?) and shooting out small asteroids and space-debris before colliding with it. It´s a "light short-range cargo vessel". Google the ancient (1975) science fiction TV-series "SPACE: 1999" -or maybe "Moonbase Alpha" under which name it might be better known. Not a bad concept, and some excellent special effects for it´s time and budget, -at least until Star Wars´ computer coordinated movement was introduced ;-) Thanks, except its not my first sci-fi build, just the first build I present here on EuroBricks. Anyway, it´s just my 4th build, so I´m still new to the style. Here is the previous stuff I did;
-
Hi all, I dont think I have posted in the sci-fi forum before, simply because I dont do much sci-fi stuff. But I am currently working on a SHIP, where this little micro-scale spin-off has been constructed; Although not really an "1999 Eagle", the inspiration is impossible to hide. I think the scale would be something like 1:120. The cargo can be easily removed/changed; I like all science-fiction, allthough I dont build much of it in Lego. My style is strictly "real-space" as I dont see the sense and logic in beautifully streamlined and aerodynamically correct star-fighters... Bulky and utilitarian is my ballgame! Although it is tiny, I have tried to make a very exact construction, adjusting down to half-plate thickness; -The above pic shows some of the hardship I had to go through, in order to line everything up correctly... hehe Stay tuned for the SHIP!
-
I too will follow you progress closely! ;-) I have long been thinking about doing this project also, but implementing a different technique than yours. Yours is very innovative and original! Looking forward to your next update!

Hi guys, thanks a LOT for so many nice comments, in such a short time! :-) Also an extra "thank you sir" to MetroiD for blogging, and for also commenting on my Flickr account! As this MOC was specifically prepared for a public exhibition, it DID have over-the-top details and scenes embedded within it, but I am glad that you didnt consider it overloadet. You might want to take a look at this photo; It´s a capture from Google-streets, showing the actual boat-wharf in Elsinore (Denmark). I´ve lived close-to and even IN Elsinore for most of my life, before moving to Spain... Detail photos of all the boats and cars exist in my Brickshelf account, -but I will post them here too, later today. Again, thanks a lot!

Hi guys, My latest MOC, 2 months in the building. Was presented publicly at a HispaLUG LEGO-event, in Mungia (Bilbao), Spain, on the 2nd of April, 2011. Many small MOCs to make one big MOC! Minifig-scale wharf, nordic style. "Coast of Elsinore, 15:30, tuesday, 11th of July, 1995". View of the wharf and beach; View of the wharf, from a minifigs standpoint; View of "Backside" of the diorama; Light trafic on the street-side; One of the many small integrated scenes of the MOC; More scenes; Even more; The roof is detachable, in order to see the completely decorated interior; The interior; ...and... a final random view of the MOC; I hope you liked it. Thanks for watching! /Henrik Hoexbroe

Please, be still my... LUNCH! I will feel better when this is removed tomorrow... hehehe

Thanks again for the comments! (to all!) Basically, the bricks flex nicely if you put together a lot of 1x2 bricks in long rows. Try it!!!

Hi guys, Well, that was a nice surprise! Thanks for the attention. It´s an honour! You guys are right; I should have presented the MOC in this forum from the start. But as my ship wasn´t a pirate-ship, and didnt even have guns, I thought it wouldn´t be right for Classic-Pirates. I have since become wiser, but felt that the moment for presenting the MOC had passed (as in "old stuff"). If I ever do another sailing-ship, be sure that I will share it here first! The Cutty Sark was presented at the big anual HispaBrick 2010 meeting in Barcelona, Spain, and it was also my first public participation in a LEGO-event. The MOC earned me a lot of attention, and was blogged in several places (including TBB), and several real-magazine articles was published, including ordinary non-LEGO newspapers from Greenwhich and Dumbarton (the scottish town where the vessel was originally built!) I am currently working on a new (BIG!) MOC to be presented publicly (so being my 2nd public LEGO-event, hehe) at the beginning of April. It´s also sea-related, albeight NOT sailing ships. Here´s a sneak-peak of a small part of it all; -It´s interessting that this small boat uses the SAME building tecnique as the Cutty Sark, although the hull is only about a third of the Cutty... Again; thanks for this extra attention for the Cutty. -a MOC dismantled a long time ago! (I never keep any of my MOCs...)

Achille, a French frigate carrying 36 guns
Hoexbroe replied to BrickPerfection's topic in Pirate MOCs
Lovely job. Congratulations! I especially like the ratlines of the rigging, and the front headrails. Wonderful masts with the brown/black combinations. Also VERY impressive that you have managed to make a detailed interior and detachable upper part. -
Thanks guys, for the nice comments! It has been the first time that I have tried to share detailed instructions, and even for this small model (probably the smallest MOC I´ve ever done ;-) -ít´s been quite a new experience. I am very happy when/if somebody decides to try their luck on a MOC based on this design. Please let me know what I should improve in the instructions. I´ll love to hear from you, and looking forward to see your versions! Regarding critics; Yes, the fuel-tank looks smallish. I have already made a bigger one. It´s fairly simple, I wouldnt update the instructions just for that. That the truck is low and small. Well, it IS a small truck. Forklifts comes in all size and shapes, and mine is definatly not too strange to look at. Anyway my MOC is a purely imaginative vehicle anyway... I especially thank you guys, for your time to make constructive critisism. Anything that can help improve the model, the building tecnique, etc. is always welcome! @Zeon; The model holds together rather well, but it is NOT for play, only for static display. (Thanks for noticing the truck. These MOCs are part of a rather BIG diorama not yet published...)

Hi all, I want to try something new; To publish instructions. -But I dont use LDRAW or any other computer based design, so I have made the instructions based on a series of photos. I hope everthing will be clear enough. Firstly, the MOC itself; 1) The chasis/core; 2) Consisting of these pieces; 3) Assembly detail: The bracket and the hinge are "prisoners", and NOT conected using a stud-conection; 4) Next up, the main bodywork; 5) Consisting of these pieces; 6) Then, place the core inside the body. Must be like this; 7) Add the bottom detail (the big tile); 8) You should now have this; 9) Next, the details like motor, seat and controls, consisting of these pieces; 10) It must be put together like this; 11) Place the details on the main body; 12) Now, for the wheels. Axle-plates for 4-wides; 13) Should be like this; 14) Attach the wheels; 15) Roof details, consisting of these pieces; 16) It should be put together like this; Now is a good time to install the minifig, as it will be more dificult later, with the roof on. 17) The roof should now be attached to the main body like this; You must force the conections a bit! Force, press, force, press, force, etc. At the end it will be correctly lined up AND suficiently stable/strong to allow normal handling! 18) The fork part. Observe the picture well, in order to see the different parts. (next photo will show the same thing from the other side); 19) The two taps are important! 20) Insert the fork-part into the tower-part; Turn the two taps 45º! 21) Attach the tower+fork part to the main body; And... Finished! Disclaimer; The fork+tower part has limited movements. The fork can only go up about half-way. If you want more funcionality you must adjust the design. Here is the MOC again, in it´s "working" position; That´s all. I hope you like it!

Lovely build, full of interessting details! As a person living in Spain (although not spanish myself), I´ll take the chance of argueing that your MOC is not very likely, politically speaking. -Because a fan of Barca would most likely NOT call his bar/cafe for "Españá" and fly the spanish colours, but the catalonian colours instead. (Which are the same, so how do you see the difference¿? Hehe... Well, you can!) A bar-owner flying the spanish national colours and calling his bar "España" would most likely be from Madrid, and his preferred football club would most likely be Real Madrid. Sorry for the slight off-topic. I hope some native spanish can confirm these details...
