FYI. I got the updated files and will be seeing about ordering what I need to update the model in next couple months probably. Curious to see how much more stable it is on the tipping to the backend with the phantoms docked. I couldn’t tell much of a build difference in the instructions when I looked at them.

This is such a great looking build. Nice job. I am not sure if I would have the space for it but might build this in the future. I have a spot currently for it but once I build the UCS ISD, that is in the closet, that spot would be gone. -

I would be interested in getting the updated instructions and parts list especially if it provides some stability updates to not tipping towards the back when the shuttles are attached. Currently I just have the shuttles beside the ship on a shelf. Is there a separate parts list that shows all the needed additional pieces for the changes? How would I go about getting the files? Thx

Picked up another of the Mandalorian forge set at target on sale plus 12% Rakuten cash back. Ordered two additional AAT sets before they retire aLeo from Target. Also grabbed two advents calendars while they were 30% off. I think I am done for several months bc I have spent way too much on Lego the last 3 months. Had a couple large Harry Potter purchases on VIP weekend as well.

Curious as to what lightsaber are you talking about? The lightsaber promo was only at launch in 2021 for the UCS ATAT that I am aware of. Only reason I ordered it when it came out as opposed to waiting.

Picked up two of the 66708 3 in 1 sets for $50 at Walmart today. That is too good of a deal with 5% back with my chase card and 4% from Rakuten for $80 retail price normally on these sets. That is around 44% off.

Bought another of the Bad Batch Attack shuttle at 20% off on Lego yesterday before it retires. Got the exciting pirates pack polybag add on as well. Woohoo! Score! Lol

Ordered Luke Skywalker helmet while on 20% off on Amazon. Surprised to already see it on sale.

This isn’t exact bc I am not getting mine down off its vertical stand. However from the sides it is around 5-7 inches from the edge of the ship. From the back it is around 4-6 inches. From the front it is closer to 10 inches. If you have the vertical space I would recommend a vertical display stand. Either acrylic or brick built.

I picked up mos eisley cantina double vip points this morning. Also ordered brickheadz Mandalorian and Child while 25% off at Target. Did the same on international space station at Target before it got discontinued while 25%off to complete my space collection I wanted. Ordered the Dark trooper helmet from Lego at 20% off Tuesday. Ordered R2D2 today while on double points to grab it before the august price increase as well. 20% price increase is ridiculous. I am trying to get as many sets ahead of the increase as possible. I made the wife aware. Lol. I will have to avoid buying anything else for a while.

I have recently picked up the Darth Vader meditation chamber during double points the other week. Decided to hold off a bit longer on grabbing R2D2 and Mos Eisley cantina and buy the Ferrari Daytona technic set before the price increase takes affect in a couple months also getting double points Ordered three clone command blister packs this week after they came back in stock in US.

I picked up the ucs star destroyer on one order. Ordered another order with bad batch shuttle, tauntaun vs ATAT microfighter, Mandalorian forge, and Snowtrooper battle pack. Then went to Lego store and got ATST and duel on mandalore plus a couple keychains to get over the $70 usd threshold. So I should have three of two of the promos plus 2 of Lars homestead. Spent a ton of money towards Lego.

No, but I would be interested to know if you figure out a way to display it like that. I honestly hadn’t even thought about trying to find a way to do that. I might have to mess around with that if I can get some parts to play around with it. Good idea.

Lego Titanic came back in stock today and was right back out of stock 14 minutes after receiving the back in stock email from lego. I did get my order placed 8 minutes after the email. However received the dreaded back ordered email from Lego not long after. I have never seen a set that has been out of 2.5 months never stay in stock for not even 2 hours several times. I hope the back order ships in next couple weeks, but almost would rather them wait to put in stock for when they have many more available.

Couldn’t they have just used a axle 6m with end stop instead of the parts in the middle? That part could’ve gone straight into the orange pin. Mine doesn’t come in til Thursday and might not build it til after the holidays so can’t check if this would work.

Yeah, well I dont normally buy to invest in Lego. Not like I am turning around and selling it on eBay for $550 like I see out there currently. That is just stupid to see when the product is still being sold at normal prices. When it gets discontinued in a few years it might prove to be a good/bad investment.

I have gotten two of these shelves from Wayfair last couple years. I watched for them to go on sale so found both of them for low $300 range each. Little pricey still but very sturdy and great for displaying large sets. Have UCS Millenium Falcon on top using a stand from Kingdom Brick Supply. Will put UCS Gunship on the top of the other shelving most likely. Ordered two of the UCS gunships at launch on Sunday. Hoping that they might be worth more than the correct box in several years. Might build one of them at some point but one will definitely stay sealed.

I didn't find a whole lot of large cost pieces when I bought what I needed so not sure you are going to find much that can be done. I made a couple color substitutions more to use what I had already if it wasn't going to be shown on the outside. One very small issue I did run into was part 36841 bracket 1 x 1 was supposed to use I think 4 qty that never got connected to anything and didn't seem to be needed. Not sure if I missed something but I ended up taking them off b/c the ones I had kept getting knocked off. So you could save the 4 parts there but those are very low cost at a $.01/each. As TGBDZ said, just going through the parts list and instructions to see what you could substitute is a good way, but not entirely necessary just b/c the low cost parts that are primarily used where possible. This ship looks so good in person.
