Have a look at my renders (in my flickr signature bellow). I wouldn't say they suck... Any renderer can suck if you don't know how to use it. I don't mean to get into this Lego softwares war but the OP was a bit rought with LDD, as other answers where with ldraw. As a ldraw user, I'd like to express my pov: Please, remember that ldraw is a brick library not a renderer. Hundreds of people have put energy to make ldraw what it is today, they deserve a bit of respect. Ldraw started more than 20 years ago and is still alive, I would not say the same for LDD. Mecabricks is quite new but maintained by a few amount of person (if not one), what if the team stop the development... So, yes ldraw is harder, yes ldraw seems complicated and yes ldraw is maybe not meant for beginners. But as soon as you learn the tools, start to author parts yourself, share them to the community, believe me a new lego world will open to you. PovRay is what it is : an outdated renderer, but it's free and quite simple to tweek if you are familiar with programming. Blender also have a ldraw importer, and you can even export ldraw to 3dsMax. Of course, if you want a straight forward soft to built and render: go for LDD or Mecabricks. But if you want to get involved more deeply in a digital lego community, get rid of closed softwares limits: go for ldraw.

You'd better use unprinted bricks instead of no-bricks at all (the 1x6 white bricks are missing)

I think you ldraw installation is messed up, or LDCAD don't know where too find your ldraw library. You have a red cross when LDCAD can't find a part. You should install the ldraw AIOI from scratch and check your LDCAD settings to locate the ldraw library.

If you are not able to make sure by yourself that parts are placed correctly, I would strongly advice to switch to LDCAD instead of LeoCAD. You would benefit from part snapping and it will be easier to align everything correctly. Also, you should review you models using LDView, it will help to see errors. You will also be able to take better quality screenshot using LDView. As Legolijntje said, poeple will prefer to build their models instead of correcting or checking others' ones. And stop writing "unknown" on Errors, you should post a model here when you are sure their is no error or when you can identify them (99% of the time : missing sticker, missing patterned parts or missing parts). As those old Lego model are quite simple, you shouldn't identify errors others than those 3. I know you are in the learning process, but take your time. As it has been said: quality, not quantity...

You shouldn't clean you ldr/mpd file that way, if a coordinate has digits it is not a problem at all and it won't reduce file size significantely.

As an advice: Using LDCad with part snapping will greatly help you to avoid this kind of mistakes.

According to the picture you have parts overlapping on the tail. 660: the yellow tile of the tail is collinding with the plate's studs. 699: the grey plate of the camera is colliding with the roof's studs. You should double-check more carefully before submitting sets.

Mostly it is new parts not present in ldraw AIOI. There are also some improvement on some already existing ones. As it is said in my topic, my additionnal parts are a WIP and need a few steps to follow to be merged with the official LGEO library. I can help on that if needed.
-
Complete LGEO library comes with the ldraw AIOI. Then you can add my LGEO parts from the topic you linked above.

New Parts for LGEO Library
Darats replied to Darats's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
As for me it was clear that there is a risk to overwright lg_defs. Anyway, I will try to update everything not to have those compatibility issues asap. If you can provide the part numbers that gives you an error, it would help. -
New Parts for LGEO Library
Darats replied to Darats's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
As I said in the forst post: While waiting for a better solution, you will need to add : #declare L3LDrawToLgeo = transform { matrix <0,-LG_BRICK_WIDTH/20,0, 0,0,-LG_BRICK_HEIGHT/24, -LG_BRICK_WIDTH/20,0,0, 0,0,4*LG_BRICK_HEIGHT/24> } #declare L3LgeoToLDraw = transform { matrix <0,0,-20/LG_BRICK_WIDTH, -20/LG_BRICK_WIDTH,0,0, 0,-24/LG_BRICK_HEIGHT,0, 0,0,0> } at the end of your lg_defs.inc file (just above the very last "}") or use my own lg_defs.inc provided in the package (but it might conflict with Owen's one on some parts). As long as you don't overwrite Owen lg_defs.inc and only add those statements, you should be fine. -

Mmh, I need to check my files but maybe yes. You or I should have a different slope part. I know Owen did some fixes on slope parts, maybe I get his update, or you. I'll let you know. Thanks for pointing it out. -

I've made the part. It will be in next update, maybe this month.
