Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Citromon replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Well, I definitely expected more for 300$, but I think it looks great, better than 2 last modulars. I know everyone is a fan of the BH but I really don't like it. It's too out of place. And yes, it does have some strong Haunted Mansion vibes) -
This looks magical! A wonderful piece of art.

I got the UCS Gunship as a late gift for May the 4th - It was a very pleasant build and I love this ship!

UCS Slave I 75060, and this is still my favourite Lego set.

It looks nice, but too many details are made with stickers, and when I think of Ford GT - is definitely not this model. -

One big question - What's with that big passage from pizzeria to the jazz club? Like, if you buy a pizza then don't need to pay for the ticket? -

Ok, so with official pictures out I noticed some great details and my interest has increased exponentially. What I don't like: empty backyard (but I'm glad it's only 4 stands deep), jazz club sign. Ya, the lack of posters and maybe a menu in the pizzeria it's a big missed opportunity of the graphic designer. -

Well, I started my collection with Assembly Square, but for ex. PS is mu favourite, and BB is my second. I also love the Diner, but the interior of CG made me skip it. About that interior - it's strange. One thing that I definitely don't like are empty walls in the pizzeria and an almost empty tailor shop. But after seeing this set from beside it kinda grew on me. -

And the color works totally fine. I would much prefer the pizzeria to be the main building with some sort of jazz club on second or even third floor. I already sow a lot of "hope is printed" - weren't only prints in modulars? That would be a serious downgrade if they would change them to stickers. -

How bad it must be that ppl would think this is a MOC?! It's a legit photo) -

100% true. I try to look at it apart from other modulars, and in this case I'm more on positive side, but the more I look at it, the more I don't like the colour scheme side to other buildings (what I see is the main problem for a lot of ppl). And this is totally opposite for the BH, where I'am not a big fan of the set by it self, bit love beside the Diner (for ex.). We also had a god story in PS. -

I'm sure in one or two days we'll get the official pictures from TLG. I'm more interested in that interior now, it must be great. -

Well, I have bought the Sanctorum instead of Boutique Hotel, and it's a great modular, but somehow a 3/4 of a modular scale... -

Well, it's a trend already, 4 yers in a row... But I personally love the small donut shop in PS and the pizzeria also works fine, it only depends on the building on the right. Only thing I don't like it's actually that greenhouse. It looks unfinished and kinda odd. -

It should be, only prints in modulars. But I'm kinda sad we didn't get a pizzeria sign too. As I understood from GWP it's City Pizza. -

I'm sold! I know I'm in the minority but wasn't a fan of the Boutique Hotel at all, and a reason of that was the colours. Here the color scheme is even more strange but, I don't know way, it worcs totally fine for me. An I love that pizzeria/tailor shop building! -

I could see them doing an a bit elevated Gringotts (because of the stairs) and just a representation of the beginning of the track in the back...
