    Warlen took a deep breath, thinking back to the day, many years ago now. "Many years ago, I was being trained by the elder mages, back in my home forest. It was a good, if not particularly exiting life. Anyway, one day, I heard that this dragon was nearby. A bunch of the other apprentices had heard about it, and, well, no one knew it's real name. At the time, we all just called it 'Nebulae', seeing how we had no idea what it even looked like. Anyway, long story short, instead of the myth fading away, as myths do, it got worse. Eventually, the elders, including dad, started hiring people to fight it, among them the birdhouse wizard, the mad sorcerer, and some guy called Vecna. Later on it got to the point where anyone could come up and take a shot. That was when I met my friend Quarion. Back then he was still a living being. So anyway, we become friends, and then eventually the day comes when he was to face this 'Nebulae' fellow. " Warlen sighs. "It didn't go well. Quarion was burned by the Dragons hellfire, and basically died. No one could save him without endangering themselves, exposing themselves to the darkness. No one was willing to risk it. Well, almost no one." Warlen turned back to Karie. "I'm sure you can fill in who the dragon was, and what happened to me."

    Endgame, is one of the prizes for this quest going to be a Vorpal(is) Blade? Possibly one that makes a sort of... snicker-snack noise?

    Warlen looked at her oddly, then motioned for her to come away from the rest of the groups hearing. "I... I think I've encountered Vorpalis before." "Me? When did that happen?"

    Warlen simply nods, digesting the information inside his head.

    Warlen stopped looking around at the mention of 'Meeting the boss'. "Um, so, mr archangel. Look, I'm gonna be honest, as you'll be able to tell if I lie... you're terrifying. Just the fact that you exist... blows my mind. Talking about gods and thousands of years as if they were as everyday as a bottle of milk. Sure, I worship a 'God' but Eulalia is just a concept, a way of better making sense of everything. It... she's... they're... not real. Right?"

    Warlen shakes his head impatiently. "Guys? Dragon!", he yelled. "Scarily familiar one..."

    Hearing a loud noise in the cathedral, Warlen moved towards the door, before realising that Lind was probably just talking to himself again. He bent down to admire the blade, searching for signs of age, use or origin. Anything really.

    Warlen tosses Skrall the telescope. "Wake me up around... hades, what time is it now?"

    Occur-Just realised I shouldn't be immune to fire. Warlen stands silently, trepidatious at the promise of many more Zodiac members. "Wouldn't it be prudent, Scrawl, to post a watch? I mean, I know none of us have a watch, but I could lend out my telescope?"

    Leaving the attacks to Jinnipher, Warlen attacks Sandman with his Healing Staff. Ooc-On an enhancement I'm still going for my shield, but what happens if I roll a shield? Heal the whole party?

    Quite frankly, I'm surprised Sandy didn't give some recompense to him. And I'm now worried for my own staff. * The job market's terrible these days.

    Warlen grins at the banter. "I'm in my element here. That is, Darkness and Water." Warlen repeats.

    "Anything you'd like on yours?" Warlen casts darkness at Aquarius, back row. On a 4, Eulalias Shield will be upgraded.

    Ok 138ers, I'm back from my trip. You know have my full attention!

    Warlen draws his blade. "I used to know a blonde woman. Very good looking, and always wore leathers. Very good at fighting. Whenever she'd get into a fight the was this thing she'd say. What was it..." A grin spread across his face. "Oh yes. Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!"

    Warlen grimaces at the mention of the novel. He remembers the time he'd thought it was an adventure novel of some kind, picked it up to flick through, and just as he realised the content of the book, a little old lady walked up behind him. "No thanks. Although I do know a guy who might want it... Actually, I don't suppose you've got any other knick-knacks for sale?"

    "They say the path to knowledge is through it's pursuit. What better way to pursue it than a decent book. What've you got?"

    Warlen takes a seat at the bar, deliberately ignoring Sandman and his... friend. "What drinks d'you got?"

    Warlen didn't sheath his blade, but did follow Skrall to shelter. He stopped and looked back at the noises, before shaking his head and continuing on.
