Cool! My favourites are the mercenary with his brain exposed and the centaur. There's some cool, interesting techniques here, such as the regular troops helmets, the dragon tail being used as a minifig's weapon, an the axes on the Emperor's Guards. *y* *y* A great army it is! ~Peace

Thanks! I need to build some mechs that can easily be mass produced, maybe even just some battle-armour. I'll be waiting for a blue robot Exo-pod set to turn into one. X-D ~Peace

Thank you very much MicVash! :-D
-
Yeah! Maybe he's made of a kind of 'living' metal? Took that inspiration from WH40K's Necrons too. :-P Lets just say the weapon blueprints and datacores are built into him, and he can transform his had into the weapons, all fancy like on Transformers. X-D ~Peace

Very cool! The last one has to be my favourite, big, red, and, well, awesome! *y* *y* ~Peace

Very cool, I like how you included the painter painting the scene! Quite original! *y* Good idea too! ~Peace

Very nice! This will definitely be able to fend off any Best-Lock attackers, unless they pull a full scale assault with their tanks... 8-| I really like these, they're unique, fast, well armed, in fact my post-Apoc group could use a couple of them. Are you renting any out? We can afford it, I swear! X-D ~Peace

Wow, cool! Great use of the BURPs, creative methods of sticking the skellies in place, nice details too. The especially like the skellie in the barrel (:-D) and the Imperials running away! X-D Good idea with the EF robot hand as a peg-leg, and that last pic is really cool too! *y* ~Peace

COMPETITION! Design and build a household item from LEGO!
iamded replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I added my entry. *sweet* ~Peace -
Thanks Axle and simonjedi! Indeed I did get my inspiration from the Necrons! :-D EDIT: Hunter characters added. Iamded One of the main characters in the post-Apoc world, Iamded is one of the leaders and founders of the Hunters. Batbrick One of the main characters in the post-Apoc world, Batbrick is one of the leaders and founders of the Hunters. Hunter Soldier The generic soldier unit of the Hunters. Armed with a nice little blaster weapon to fight the Necrobots and mutants. Hunter Pilot Some Hunters are trained to pilot the mechs and transport vehicles. Mostly the lazy ones. They wear gloves and a black belt, and a special optics visor that can link into the vehicle they drive/pilot, hooking into any cameras on the vehicle. Pretty nifty. Hobo A seemingly old man, who has recently been brought upon the Hunter's force. His skill in combat is amazing, using his spanner, katana, and staff to beat down the Necrons. ~Peace

Thanks for the help guys! Minimun order, 5 bucks. Hm. The stuff I was planning to buy adds to $1.69. I'll just have to add legs and heads then. :-P First I need to set up a pay-pal account. ~Peace

I spotted something I wanted to buy from Bricklink, but I've no idea how it works. Do different people have different preferations of payment? I wanted to buy some torsos from Fedibeka, but he lives in Hungary, and I'm in New Zealand. I assume he doesn't want NZ dollars either. 8-| I'm completely new to buying online, so all help is appreciated. Oh, and please redirect and close if necessary. Thanks. ~Peace

Thanks Asuka, Batbrick, Lt. Col. Thok and Exo-builder! :-D :-D The Hunters aren't anything really special, but I've posted their mech in the Space and Mecha forum. I'll post character info soon. ~Peace

Thanks for the positive feedback, Asuka, Batbrick, zero1312, Lt. Col. Thok and steelharbinger! :-D :-D X-O :'-( :-P Heh, yeah, I guess I could try a Necrobot mech, but I kinda had them as being a mass of infantry, whereas the Hunters don't have so much Infantry but more mechs. And they're clean because.. er.. Okay, the military, before the Apocalypse, were working on new high-tech battle-machines. Not tanks, not planes, something new. They had the blueprints, and were assembling it when the Apocalypse hit them like a brick. Fortunately, the blueprints and mech were in a special hangar, made of lead or something, so it was resistant to the explosions and radiation and other harmful stuff. Unfortunately some scared and confused mutants wandered into the hanger, and when the folk inside starting screaming and attacking these mutants, they got angry and killed all the survivors inside the hanger. A bit later on the newly established Hunters came across this hangar, took out the mutants, and began completion of the mech. They turned the hangar into their stronghold, and now it is currently one of their outposts, were survivors can find food and shelter. ~Peace

Thanks for the great feedback guys! :-D :-D As for how they stay in, this pic should answer your question; Thanks to CountBlockula! *y* ~Peace

WAAAAGH! If I were to collect the miniatures, it would definately be Orks. :-D Right now I'm obsessed with the computer games, mainly Dawn of War Dark Crusade. *y* Then again, the Necrons are pretty darn cool! ~Peace

Very nice! Looks great in both forms. *y* *y* Although the name reminds me of Captain Jack Sparrow. :-P ~Peace

A great find indeed, very nice! *y* ~Peace

Very nice! Good use of those BUWPs (big ugly window pieces X-D), although not megablocks detailoed as some others I've seen. Still, it's nice. *y* ~Peace

I'm really getting into this post-Apoc thing! :-D Anyway, the Hunters (the humans who fight the Necrobots and protect the civilians) need more than just guns, so that's when their mechs come in! The mech, with 2 Hunters and the Hobo. I should not have turned flash on... :-| Oh well, too bad. The back of the mech. Oh, a sneak peak at the post-Apoc scene! 8-

Welcome to iamded's post-Apoc world! Where radiation and pollution has affected some in strange ways. Where armies of the robotic undead roam, destroying all in their paths, thanks to the insanity of one man. Where humans struggle to survive, fighting the nightmares of this new hellish world in a desperate plight for freedom and safety. Now, the creatures. X-D Necrobot Lord The Necrobot Lords are rare and hard to defeat, normally travelling with a large group of minions. They float along the ground due to anti-gravitational mechanisms built into their 'body'. One arm has a Voltiac Cannon with attached blade built into it. The other wields a staff with high amounts of electricity in the tip, which can be shot into a fallen soldier, charging it with radiation and electricity causing rapidly reconstruction. Due to this fact, the staff is commonly known by humans as the 'Staff of Resurrection'. The electricity filled tip can also be used to slice through enemies. Necrobot Heavy Infantry The Necrobot Heavy Infantry are well armoured, unlike other units. They wield large Plasmoid Cannons that shoots arcs of plasma into enemies, causing mass casualties. This weapon can also damage vehicles and buildings due to the sheer force of the plasma. Necrobot Anti-personal Infantry These Necrobots are built from the scavenged parts of fallen Necrobot Drones, and 'improved' with more robotics, giving them increased speed due to mechanical legs, and increased strength in their mechanical arm. Their other arm is a not an arm, but a plasma rifle built straight onto the body. This is used to pick off enemies with reasonable accuracy, as opposed to the destructive, but inaccurate power of the Heavy Infantry's Plasmoid Cannons. Necrobot Drone The main attack force of the Necrobots, the Necrobot Drones charge the enemies, grabbing them with their robotic arm and sending electricity coursing through their bodies. The Mutants 3 civilians mutated by poisons, pollution and radiation. These 3 mutants will be featured in my stories and comics, as secondary main characters, or background characters. Or something. :-/ X-D I'm not sure whether I should post the small scene in a new thread or in this one. I think this one's a bit too pic heavy as it is. 8-| Comments and criticism welcome and appreciated. :-D ~Peace

Actual;y the Flayed Ones are Necrons. ~Peace

Thanks for the feedback Brickmaster and MicVash! About the crotch area (8-|), I realise now I should have used a 1x2 grill piece, that would work better. Ah, hindsight is a wonderful thing. :-P As for MicVash's question, all his weapons can, er, fold up into a convenient size. I don't know. Any suggestions? Okay, I know. He has different weapons for different tasks. For clearing away mutated foliage, he uses the flame-thrower and chainsaw (can be used in self defence too). For crowd/mutant control he uses the taser and shield. For defensive measures he uses the shield and heavy cannon, and for offensive measures he uses the heavy cannon and Tri-beam cannon. He's not supposed to be a minifig, more a minibot. X-D Okay, here's his bio. ATUM1 A robot built by a man of pure genius. Unfortunately, this man became so involved in his work, conducting experiments on himself, and even on corpses, he became completely insane. This was the man who created the Necrobots, and with this new hobby he disregarded his old, pure mechanical experiments as 'failures'. When the Hunters stumbled across this robot, they brought it back to their base, repairing it and upgrading it, reconfiguring it to their cause. Still made out of the dark metal it's creator used, but reprogrammed to fight the later creations of it's master, and renamed, the ATUM1. :-D I'll soon be posting the characters in this post-Apoc world, the different types of Necrobots, and the Hunter's mech. ~Peace

When I first saw CountBlockula's creations, I wanted to make something using that design scheme. So first off, kudos and credit to him for that. (I more or less based it on his Encounter Suit.) Now, in my post-Apoc world (which you will be sure to see more of), there are 4 types of creatures. Hence why this is called Anti Tainted Unit Mark one. It was originally called Anti Necrobot Unit Stage 1, but I changed it due to a not so pleasing acronym. 8-| Anyway, time for pics! Oh noes! He escaped! :-P I made several different weapons for him, to counter all the creatures he has to face every day. More photos can be seen on my new flickr account here. :-D Thanks for looking! Comments and criticism welcome! ~Peace

I'm not so much as intersted in the gameplay, more the comics and games, the units design and the look of it all. I also like some of the descriptions, for example the Flayed Ones are said to drape themselves with the flesh of their opponents, in a 'twisted parody of the living'. >:-) Also, I'm starting to post my MOCs, I got my camera today which was an unexpected surprise! I'm posting them in the MOC forum as opposed to Space and Mecha, as it's not Space or Mecha, more post-Apocalypse. :-D ~Peace
