Somehow stuff gets caked with a layer of dust more easily in the tropics; even if they are enclosed

My modulars spend most of their time in the Ikea Detolf cabinet unless I take them out (see attached picture). FB, TH, & PR not built yet due to lack of space. Primary concern is with dust/dirt settling on the buildings, even with the Detolf cabinet dust/dirt builds up pretty fast. Have been using a can of compressed air and the vacuum cleaner (at the lowest setting) to clean them every month or so.

Hello/今日は! My first post on EB (Been stalking EB from the shadows for the past few months)! Had some problems with getting my account working but just got it fixed today with the kind assistance from one of the admins! Re-emerged from the Dark Ages (16 years?) slightly more than a year ago and started actively building up my collection again - primarily Modulars & City sets. Prior to that, contact with the plastic bricks have been pretty much limited to helping my cousins with their builds, and random purchases of CMFs & Star Wars MFs. Brgds/zobbified (Nick) p.s. Not from Japan but semi proficient with this beautiful language (Lego prices are pretty attractive as well!)
