  1. Very nice Treebeard! But I have to say, your Oliphant is just too awesome..
  2. Indeed... Looks really nice. I might try something similar.
  3. Brilliant!
  4. While I totally agree with your choice, I think that the idea here (no pun intended) is to get one Minas-Tirith project to 10000 to get LEGO's attention, since it probably won't be done through Ideas anyways (and even if it was, it wouldn't be as is, and maybe they'd took inspiration from other projects as well). We're all kind of desperate, and I'm not quite sure this with lead anywhere, but still, it seems more logical to me that NujuMetru's project gets carried to 10000. That being said, I supported every single project LOTR / Hobbit related that looked good to me, including the one you linked. This one looks also great to me, and would even more if it was made in white bricks : https://ideas.lego.com/projects/58745
  5. This post just made me sad. Awesome work.
  6. Thanks for clearing it up! I must agree that DOFP Quicksilver wasn't spectacular, but for the sake of all being connected, I would have loved it.
  7. Kinda off-topic, but are X-Men movies really disconnected from others? Like Spiderman made by Sony? I wish Evan Peters would have played Quicksilver here, like he did in Days of the Future Past, and will in Apocalypse...
  8. Well this is amazing.
  9. Bought all sets this morning, and built them during the day. First thought: - Lonely Mountain, I had my doubts about this set, but in the end I really like the set, I think it's my favorite. The build looks better if you actually don't attach the "throne" part to the "forge" part. And of course, was really impressed with Smaug. - Witch King Battle, minifigs are spectacular, not much to say about the build. - Lake Town, new orcs are nice, battle face Bard is really cool (I put it on his BOFA body), and the build is a really nice addition to the previous lake town set. - BOFA, it's my biggest disappoinment. As I had finished building it, I thought to myself "is that it?" (keep in mind that it cost me 75€ in France, ie 95$ US...). Dain and Thorin are really cool, Azog is a nice variation, but the build... Feels really incomplete, even more for that price. Set is ok, but too expensive.
  10. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/80650 This guy never cease to amaze me...
  11. Hey guys! Not sure if this has already been discussed, and sorry if it has (didn't find it though), but do we have any info on the release date of the sets in LEGO shops/online shop? Especially in Europe and/or France. I know The Lonely Mountain appears on the US online shop with an October 15th release date, but nothing on French one, nor any info about it.
  12. I think it was a joke though... To be honest, as much as I'd love it to, I hardly believe this comment means anything.
  13. I keep throwing money toward the screen, but nothing happens...
  14. I must admit, at first I wasn't sure if I would buy BO5A & Laketown, but seeing those last pics, I think that I'm gonna have to get them all, plus the lake town from last wave which I skipped.
  15. Well it seems like my PC gave its last breath on friday, thought it was something I could fix but it turns out that it can't. I'll have to replace it asap, but it might be a while before I can do that 9gag stuff... Anyone else up for it? The sooner the better..
  16. Got some personal issues, won't be able to try the 9gag post until tomorrow night, maybe someone will do it by then!
  17. I agree, so maybe just throw pics from the movies for those (Balrog, Minas Tirith, Witch king)? Or nothing at all? In the mean time, any good pic of Boromir in his "One does not simply.." style & Gandalf "You shall not pass" in LEGO FORM would be much appreciated for the post. I can't really search right now since I'm at work. kinda like this: http://c4.staticflic...2c1ae68db_k.jpg and this: http://images.mocpag...106m_SPLASH.jpg
  18. Wow, this is starting to look really impressive. Excellent work!
  19. Indeed the scumbag steve could be a nice touch. True about the potato, but it will be a bit long anyways. As for the pics of what could be done, I'm not sure if we should put them in movie form or lego form from video game? Maybe it could be confusing to people, wondering if it's been made already. If no one does it, I'll try something tonight and post it here.
  20. Yeah, nice ideas. - Start with something along the lines "As you may or may not know, the LEGO middle earth line is coming to an end.. blablabla" (with frodo holding ring in lego form in background) - throw some pics of what could be done (in lego form?). I'm thinking Sauron, Minas tirith, Balrog, Witch-King (most iconic ones, don't go down the road of osgiliath, gondor soldiers and stuff like that, imo). - Add the funny quotes with boromir & gandalf (in lego form) and mention the petition (hint that it will be linked in the comments) - Add something like "and 9gag army will respond" (theoden reference), plus they tend to love the concept of "9gag army", worked pretty well in the past. - Finish with "and finally, a potato" with this pic (yes it's quite a trend to finish a post with a potato) Just don't make it too long! Tell me how it sounds to you. I could try to do it myself, but not right now (I'm at work), then I've never posted anything on 9gag I'm just a reader there, dunno if there's more to it. Once it's done, don't forget to link it here and share it, it need many upvotes to get to the hotpage, and comments (upvoted too) containing the petition link!
  21. Currently crossing fingers that this 1000 signatures checkpoint will give us more exposure... Don't know what I can personnaly do about it though, kinda frustrating...
  22. My bad, for some reason I thought that you were talking about named characters, which is why I asked. Talking about generic soldiers, I can only agree with you, sadly. Same goes for the gate of Erebor, this would have been absolutely fantastic.
  23. Just out of curiosity, who would that be?
  24. Quick question out of curiosity: how do you think they control signatures? I mean, a friend of mine asked me to sign for him since he couldn't at the time, so it got me wondering. I know we have to put name / zipcode / email, but is there any verification around the email? My guess would be that the email needs to be real since they send a confirmation, but is that all? My point being, what is stopping people from signing for others (for example signing for everyone you know if you have their email), or even fake names? and most importantly, what could be the impact of such possibilities on how the petition is recieved in the end. I don't want once we've reached thousands of signatures, to read from TLG something like "yeah okay that's cool, you got your 10000 signatures, but a lot could be fake so too bad."
