    A more reasonable criticism would be to say that we aren't accounting for the limitations the designers had to work with in regards to the limit of new parts per wave, limit of pieces per set, limit of complexity for children, etc. As such, I can't strongly criticize any of these sets... other than Skull Scorpio. That thing's gimmick, though neat, is just too big for the limitations of that price point. Was it inevitable that it would be lackluster, due to variables we as laymen have no (extensive) knowledge of? Perhaps, but it is lackluster nonetheless. Still, it will definitely be fun to rebuild into something big enough to comfortably accommodate the gimmick.

    It isn't too bad in my opinion, it's just that accurate human facial features will never translate well to LEGO; either it would appear too complicated compared to the rest of the set, or be inadequately detailed compared to whoever it was based on.

    I think you are mixing up the two measures of shell, though I may also be seeing 8M shells on Vader's limbs where only 6Ms exist.

    Indeed, it looks like Vader even sports some 8M shells in black! So far I think that's only shown up on Drillodozer and Waspix, in silver and trans-yellow respectively. Having checked, it also shows up on a large CHIMA system set in flame yellowish orange.

    Darth Vader looks like a decent figure, and a wonderful (if expensive) parts pack. Luke looks about as bad as I would have expected. On a per-parts basis, the new shells used for the legs look interesting, and, though perhaps lacking the armor attachment points of normal shells, also seem useful. I wish I could be as optimistic about the new body armor, but it is less appealing to me. Though it might be neat to own one or two, I'd imagine it will be about as versatile the chestpiece used in 2014 CHIMA ultrabuilds, which is, not very. I'm also guessing that it was designed with Stormtrooper or Clone ultrabuilds in mind, judging from the detailing.

    Oh, that is adorable. Though all the parts are used well, my favorite use of parts are the HF cocoon flaps as wings; they are perhaps one of my favorite organic-looking parts, and I'm always glad to see how people can manage to use them.

    In my BIONICLE headcanon, I use the WH40K soul mechanics, in which all sufficiently intelligent sentient beings naturally create an imprint in the Warp, and whose imprint can persist after death, to be reinserted into a new body, reincarnated, or consumed into larger gestalt souls by beings more comfortable in the "afterlife". I think this interpretation of souls works well for BIONICLE and any other media with sentient robots or cyborgs who inexplicably display phenomena such as out-of-body experiences, resurrection after deaths in which the body is mostly or completely destroyed, and similar. As for G2 reproduction, I don't care, so long as whether they reproduce or not makes sense in the context of the origins of the Villagers. If it turns out they are some grand experiment, or were a colony of worker drones who gained sentience, or something like that, then assembly-based reproduction or no reproduction at all would make sense; however, if it is implied or stated that they were not built by anyone, but therefore have naturally evolved, then it would be absurd if they didn't have some form of reproduction more similar to those displayed by creatures in real life.

    How you do it, I don't know, but I've never seen a single MOC of yours that hasn't impressed me. Great work with this, I can't put my finger on any favorite aspect because all the parts have been used so well.

    The same could be said of the Toa from the 2001 advertisements, but it was stated that they, too, had organic components. If anything, 2001-2010 BIONICLE had less room for the characters to appear organic, what with their gappy, piston-covered exteriors leaving little room for squishy bits, unlike CCBS's more filled-out (at least from a front view) appearance, and yet the inclusion of organic parts in their biology was never dropped in the fluff, even if the sets appeared robotic. Though it is, admittedly, unconfirmed what they are, exactly, media appearances showing them as looking robotic aren't necessarily an indicator of whether they are or are not partially organic in the story; it is likely that any portrayals of them in media have to stick close to the set designs to better advertize the sets, much like how the TLR film showed ~95% set-accurate (and therefore almost completely robotic-looking) Glatorian and Agori, despite Greg saying that the inhabitants of Bara-Magna were mostly organic. You'd need a pair of tweezers to load them, unless you wished to share your target's pain.

    Assuming that the skeletal hand which was shown breaking out of the ground in the prematurely-released webisode 9 belongs to one of the summer wave's Skull warriors, this is impossible.

    That's the system I've been guessing at, too. I've managed to make it a bit smaller, using Dragon Bolt's wing base assembly and two of these Technic beams where the wings would have been.

    With chains or rubber bands, capes can be fitted over all sorts of constructs, either System or CCBS, even if the capes only have one point of "connection" for the neck.

    I will be both sad and overjoyed should these rumors prove true. I will be overjoyed because it will likely mean a large array of new or differently-colored CCBS parts, but I will be sad because, if said parts prove to be as interesting as I'd suspect, I'll end up buying them all, for fear of missing out on interesting parts. I'm still kicking myself for ignoring some of those Chima ultrabuilds like Laval, with their 5-unit long trans blue shells and golden chestpieces.

    Though shiny, the blended masks are a disappointment to me. I'd much prefer silver or gunmetal variants of the Kanohi, which would be far more useful for mocs.

    Seeing all the replies inspired me to re-watch previous webisodes in Italian with google translating the subtitles. This bit of colorful language struck me as appropriate, considering what POF was pointing at. Also, if crude humor isn't to your taste, perhaps this is. My personal favorite.

    The one big difference for me between G1 and G2 is that G2 doesn't have an equivalent of MNOLG. That game was so great for fleshing out Matoran as being more than 6 weird clone sets from Happy Meals, and I feel like the Okoto villagers could stand to have the same done to them. Right now they're pretty much scenery whenever they do appear, with exception of the 6 Protectors.

    Tahu Master of Fire and the Protector of Earth are my favorite large and small sets for playability. Though Tahu may have some issues with body proportions and leg armoring, he's the only set I haven't found any real ways to mod without considering giving him a total revamp, so I think him an excellent set that's hard to be really displeased with. Protector of Earth I like for his chest-mounted weaponry and wide (but not Protector of Fire wide) upper body.
