  1. Thanks for the kind words Apo. As for the torso, it is actually a useless (well not anymore!) torso from a gungan fig. You know the one from Gungan Patrol, not Jar-Jar. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=sw013 It turned out pretty well and works much better than this one - http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.as...asp?P=973p48c01 - which I was going to use. Jon.
  2. I have updated my Helms deep gallery with some custom figures I have made. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=93977 - When Public http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...res/aragorn.jpg Aragorn was pretty simple, I could have chosen a better head but I liked this one. I had to use a black marker just to fill in a gap between the hair line and the hair piece, but you can't see it very clearly. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...res/legolas.jpg For Legolas, I chose to paint the qui-gon hair piece tan. The tan paint I chose was very close to Lego tan. I will try and get a comparison picture of the two. I also gave him a pair of Jeffs smitars, although they are not too movie accurate. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...gures/gimli.jpg Gimli required the most customizing. I kinda borrowed a few ideas of a Gimli I saw on Brickshelf. I shaved the sides of the beard off so his helmet fit and then I painted it brown. Not that close to the new Brown but it is just a little lighter that the old one. I also removed the front bit of one of those ninja armours so his beard would fit. He is armed with an axe by Jeff. Hope you like them, any questions please ask. You can check out the rest of my work on Helms deep here - http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=85183 Jon.
  3. Cool, looks very nice. Black and orange is a good combination of colours I think, and it gives us an excuse to buy more xpods!! Jon.
  4. Hmm.. this sure is disgraceful. It must have blown away the guys confidence and might have lead to him not winning, it was good that he didn't blame this inncident on him only getting bronze though. And, at least he got a special award. Something more should happen to this fool though. He interfered with a Formula 1 race in the Uk last year. Maybe we should have tighter security at events like this, that sure would help. Jon.
  5. Yes, nice move Lego! They do listen afterall.. well to some suggestions. These bigger pics are alot better, as everybody has said. Jon.
  6. Nice to see how you make these master pieces, and the design idea is great.. gives it a good texture. Great work again! Jon.
  7. 120.. ... ... Wow! I am only on 35 myself but its enough for now. Maybe I should get some more final duel 2's too. I was really impressed by one of your first comics, the one with the shooting range.. it was amazing! I think its my favourite of your comics. Hmm.. as for tuskens, I don't know how you could use them. You are still staying with Han and the guys right? Not going back to the rebels pilots or Luke. Well, you could have a big slaughter.. kind of a spoof of episode 2. But I don't know what the plot is so I can't think what you want to happen. Anyway, good luck and can't wait to read the next one! Jon.
  8. Now thats what I call torture! :P Bring on the Gungans!! Jon.
  9. I started with a limited supply of old greys. I have now used up nearly all of my supplies and I have literally a handful left. I need to order some more but the prices are getting higher and there doesn't seem to be any old grey left on s@h. I'm sure I will find a way. Jon.
  10. But the lego figures are there to represent the actual characters. Its not "Adventure of the Lego figures".. Its "Adventure of the Star wars characters", but obviously it doesn't have a cheesy name like that. Jon.
  11. Recent?? What are you on about?? King Arthur is an old legend or folk tale that has been told in Britain for hundreds of years.. I very much doubt it is based on any recent findings. It is as much a story as Lord of the rings.. except it is actually based in England. Jon.
  12. Your new castle looks good so far, I can tell it will be a great model. :o Oooooh... I wish I had a big tub of old light grey like you do! I need lots more to complete my helms deep. If only... Jon.
  13. And if you have any trouble with DoubleT (which you might) then contact me! ;) Moderator Action: tsk tsk jon this is your last warning, or els you get to wrestle in the olympics... :P Jon.
  14. Some more neat work there! I loved this comic, the effects were great.. I like how you used the night vision to make it seem dark. The bit with the guys brother seemed like a great spoof of RoTJ, "Luke, help me remove my helmet" lol! The scenery was great, the train looked really good as well. I love all the stuff you build for your comics, shame that you have to take some apart though for the other ones. Can't wait to see your next one, thanks for making them all! They are really enjoyable. Jon.
  15. Hey! Welcome to Eurobricks, hope you have anice time here.. we are all very friendly! I recognise you from FBTB and CC, I really like your MOCs as well. Specially the corner tower.. I would like to build something like that one day. Feel free to discuss anything you want, everybody here loves to talk, whatever the suject is. See you around, Jon.
  16. I think that situations which are like this are not just here to see how we react in the type of circumstance it is but to test us also. Like to see how we can cope with the amount of pressure or understanding it gives us. But some would say that the confusing things like "feet fetishes" are there becuase they are meant to be. We are born with these personalities and if they are not with us for the time we spend here then we will not be doing what we were here to do. Some of us have harder times and struggle with the things we are having to live with everyday but that is not the case. If we want to be like we are we should try to stay like so but if not then it is is hard to break free and forget what you need becuase you don't want to. Jon.
  17. Good point. I think that what you do should not be applied to a situation if you cannot do it. But when you feel it is right to do something that you can do which is wrong, then you should be able to do it. If you feel you can't do it then don't. If it is the correct way for it to be done then yes its ok. But when its right and you feel that you have to do it cause you know its wrong then you are thinking the wrong thing. It would be much simplier to try not to understand the way you cannot do something which you have done. Jon.
  18. I think that sometimes people are not to honest when they say the can, but really they think they can.. but they can't. I know for sure that it isn't a question of being able to, but a question of wanting to be able to. Like if you got it all, without having to be troubled by any of it would you still attempt too? I want to know how you do find the time to fill when you know you don't. But you feel you can because you want to try. What do you think?? Jon.
  19. He is screaming becuase he looks like that! I know I would if I had a face like that! Jon.
  20. Maybe they cried, shouted, gasped, whispered, jumped even! But I'm sure they didn't scream.. ;) Jon.
  21. Poor Paula Radcliffe for Britain. She was the favourite and was winning for the first half but after about 34km she started to loose it and after she was overtaken and went out of the medals she broke down and stopped running at 36km. That was bad for her as she (and everbody else) expected gold. Oh well, she is still a great athlete and well done to the others who got medals. It was a really tough course, specially in the heat. The guy who ran it thousands of years ago to warn of invasion collapsed and died after!! Jon.

    800m - Women

Yes well done for Kelly and another gold for Britain! She sure did run well in the last 200m! Jon.
  23. Sorry, I wasn't trying to put you down. I didn't see your link, just the table that you put. I don't know which site is better but I am sure they are just the same anyway so it doesn't matter! Jon.
  24. Edvard Munch's priceless paintings 'The Scream' and 'Madonna' have been stolen by armed robbers. The Munch Museum in Oslo said the thieves threatened staff at gunpoint before escaping with the masterpieces in a waiting car. lol, I know its not funny as htese are priceless pieces of artwork but it just seems funny that someone can just walk in and then walk out with it! Jon.
