We said around 12-1, but as people will be arriving from different places there may be a bit of difference. If we all meet at the B&B though it should be ok. I should arrive at Windsor train station at around 12:30 so will make my way down to the B&B from there. Jon.

Where will joe go next? Perhaps Brick Central? The guys there better watch out for a tie army thread soon! Jon.

www.ogame.org Anyone play or even heard of this? Basically it is a browser based strategy game (all text and no action) which is in real time. The main point of this game is to amass resources though building mines on planets, you can then build defenses and fleet and expand by raiding other planets and starting new colonies. Check it out if you like the sound of it, its quite fun and addictive once you get into it. I am on universe 3, I think there are about 17 universes at the moment so its a big game. The German version (which is where it began) has way more universes I heard. Still, a fun little way to pass some time! Jon.

jonfett replied to jof's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Thanks for the great explanation jof! I'm looking forward to our trip.. which is about a month away now! Hope to see you there! Jon. -
The story is a little wierd but erm.. nice??! I love this guy! Looks very cartoony and pretty neat. But wouldn't it be a major defensive weakness to have your brain sticking out? Jon.

We did something like this a few months ago - http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...?showtopic=2884. Lets keep this one open though, its been a few months so answers might be different now. Ok then, for me.. currently my favourite band is the Arctic Monkey but my favourite of all time is either Gorrilaz or Queen (quite a contrast I know.. but they are both great!) Jon.

Well, I will make a module before the event. I may also build one once we are there. If people can't find the time now they can always do something one evening in Windsor? Jon.

Man, what can I say??! Brilliant, now just take some more pics of it for us! Jon.

Great stuff Brickster! That really has the look of a classic Lego set, it is simple but looks really great! I also like the head you chose for the Sultan, it looks great and also fits perfectly with the headdress. Jon.

I have been meaning to take some pics of how I sort my Lego for some time now. I know I don't have a relatively large collection of pieces compared to some people, but I do have quite a lot. I did use to dump them all in some plastic boxes, then I moved onto a 3 drawer unit, then some time last year I bought 3 sets of drawer units used for screws/nails. Here is the gallery with all the pic. (This won't make sense until you have seen all the pics! ) Basically, I put all my 2xn bricks in one of the large drawers and the 1xn in the other, with all the misc. large pieces in the bottom drawer. I like my minifig storage the best! I sort hands/arms/legs/torsos.. you name it! Each in a different compartment, with accessories taking up a whole box. I dump all the horses/animals and animal accessories in an old candy-floss tub, its quite useful though. Moving on to the bulk of the parts, I have 3 drawer units. The first one has mostly plates and modified plate parts. The second is slopes and round bricks. The third is random parts. I dont have enough of some parts to fill some drawers but in some cases too many parts, so I have to join them together to fit them all. This explanation was kinda vague, but once you see all the pictures it should make sense. Jon.

I was thinking along the same lines, but more like the pieces have similar functions but are forced, for whatever reason (in this example shape, size.. the whole idea of racism), to go different ways even if they dont want. Of course, this posted can be interpreted many ways.. but I agree with the general opinion that it is a waste of money and is confusing as to the UN's views. Jon.

http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/52031 Peeron says no. Only comes in red, white and yellow. This is a great site for finding parts (rather than BL) as you get a list of all the parts in a set with pictures, instead of having to search through pages of finds on BL. Hope this helped, Jon.

Hope you both have a great day! Jon.

I decided to create a vignette based on my Helms Deep creations for the Classic Castle Battle contest. My vignette, however, is a 48x48 stud creation! Check out the pics in the gallery when moderated here. But for now a few deeplinks... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...test/image1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...test/image9.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...est/image28.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...est/image32.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jonfett/...est/image33.jpg Enjoy! Since a very early age I have always loved Lego, and never had a so called "Dark Age". I was unsure at first why I never give up the hobby and have tried to think what it is that does it for me. I'm sure that when many people think of Lego they see the bold red and yellow of the logo, or think or a classic 2x4 brick, but what I think is the classic image of Lego.. and what keeps me attracted to it, is the minifig! I am not sure exactly what it is about it that makes me love it so much! Maybe its that classic smile it used to have? Not sure exactly. One thing I do remember is as a kid I would imagine and even dream of being the size of a minifig and walking around my little Legoland or driving in a Lego sized car. Of course, I dont dream of that quite as much these days.. for one, the crappy vehicles they produce now as no way as sturdy, and unfinished unlike the old firetruck I used to drive in! I guess this is my image of Lego, why I like it so much and what makes it different from anything else! So long live the minifig! Jon.

Last year Lego celebrated 50 years of System. As a slightly belated tribute to our favourite company we want you opinions of what the Lego compnay means to you. Since it began its quest into the brick 50 years ago, the Lego company has had many corporate images. We all have something in our mind that defines Lego and which comes into our head when we hear it. We want your opinions! There are no wrong answers here, it is simply just each members own ideas and what makes it personal to them! So lets begin! Jon.

I keep most of mine in a cupboard, but if I buy a set for parts I tend to chuck it out. Jon.
