  1. I found 2 sets of these magnets on ebay. One set is Yoda, Anakin and Green Trooper (link) The other is Chewie, Vader and Obi-wan (link) I think I will wait until I find these somewhere else before buying them. I would guess that these will go for over
  2. Here is a link to the new Lego colour palette for 2005. There are 55 colors in the 2005 palette which is significantly less than the 104 colors in the 2004 palette. Check out more info here. Jon.
  3. As I said, the large chunk added into the middle of the movie (with Trillian and the Vogons) probably got added so that the movie was longer, if they had not had that then it would have been about 30-40 mins long. Jon.
  4. Damn right I am upset! >:( Just kidding, but welcome to Eurobricks Apo#2! ;) We did have a discussion going - http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...t=ST&f=2&t=1151 but as there has been no replies there for weeks I will keep this thread open, that plus people are already p*ssed off at me closing threads lately.. and I don't want to become too unpopular! ;) Jon.
  5. I saw it today, and it was great! I thought that Steven Fry voicing the book and Alan Rickman (Snape) voicing Marvin were great choices. I didn't think that the actress playing Trillian was too good, but it didn't ruin the movie for me. It stayed quite close to the book, which I liked as I finished the book a month or so back, but there were a few occasions on which I thought it strayed too far away from the plot.. but probably to make the movie longer. The movie was very funny and I was hysterical at some points, the Vogons in particular are very amusing near to the end. The effects were great too, and the ending (which was quite similar to the books) should leave a gap open for a sequel, the Restaurant at the end of the Universe. Jon.
  6. Well, apart from keeping a close eye on the goings on here ;) ... I like to go out with my friends to the cinema etc.. I play for a football team, and often go play at a snooker center (snooker not football!). Of course, I have to do a bit of school work (exams in June *wacko* ) and I have a part time job in a restaurant. When I am at home or online, I like to look at various Lego sites and I spend a few hours a day (if I have time) to play about with sets or work on a couple of mocs. Jon.
  7. He created them all from scratch, but I am sure he used the facial expressions of the ones we had (plus new ideas) to come up with these wonderful smilies! Jon.
  8. I tried to solve this by merging similar topics, but the response was not too good. When we "tidy up" the forums in a few weeks I will make sure that these are combined in a way that makes it easy to read and keeps the members happy. If we created a forum specially for polls, then there would be lots of them created, but for no specific reason. This would cause a lot of off-topic nonsense and would be kind of pointless. Thanks for all your ideas though, we will look at everything together before we make the big changes. Jon.
  9. Nice, do you think your store will be getting anymore? Just wondering, as Sarg_Kulo suggested, can the legs be removed seperate from the hips.. so that new (non-magnetic) legs can be put on?? Jon.
  10. Nestle are currently doing a KK2 promotional thing with their cereal, so maybe this is releated to that? Jon.
  11. Oh right, I thought he may have info as it was in his gallery. Jon.
  12. Ok, I might as well post some Lego Shop details for the UK (maybe Sam or someone else can help me out too). Argos Usually has new Lego sets in on time (unlike some other UK stores) and tend to have promotions/deals (eg, early ARC fighter) Woolworths Doesn't tend to be very good for new sets, and there is not really a big selection of sets there. But it can be good for small cheap sets, tends to be minis etc.. Toymaster This is one of the best stores. Sets tend to be in a little later then when they are released but usually have them all. The prices are a little higher than S@H but there are a few sales when new sets are about to be brought in. TK-Maxx Described by someone here as "a giant jumble sale" this store has to offer what ever you can find. Lego sets are mixed in with shoes and clothes etc.. but the prices are quite good, most items are reduced but there isn't a lot to choose from. These are all I can think of for now, but I may add others as I think of them :) Jon.
  13. I think that I, as a Mod/Admin, am one of the few (or only one) who checks the forum everyday. Currently I have a pretty relaxed schedule, unlike DoubleT, Jipay and Apo.. So I try my best to go through every post making sure things are fine and people are getting on. The Hitch thread which I locked was not just out of pure evil-ness. I had been looking at the state of topics for the last few weeks and I felt that something has to be done. I know most of you disagreed and argued, but I felt that by locking it, it would encourage you guys to calm down a little bit and try to focus more on topic. Of course, some people ignored this and so what else was there to do but warn them? We are not trying to run a dictatorship or pick on certain people. We want this forum to meet the needs of all of our members and be a fun place to be. I just hope that these changes will encourage you to think a little bit more about what you are doing and also to encourage you to visit and enjoy the forums here. Jon.
  14. Good luck with the project Bloody_Jay, I just hope you don't come up with anything as dishonourable as this creation. As for Nazi figures, maybe you could check out Kaminoans decals, I know for sure that he has some war ones but not too sure about Nazis. EDIT- These are not exactly Nazi, but more generic military. Maybe you can get some ideas from them though? Jon.
  15. Hey welcome to Eurobricks Q! :) Hope you enjoy it here. You live in Europe then? Maybe you will be interested in our trip to Billund this summer? Check the Eurobricks Event section :) Jon.
  16. Well, it looks like a promotional set. No sign of it on Peeron or Brickset yet. Maybe you could look at Lugnet or CC and see if there is any more info from Jojo. Jon.
  17. Yeah, I think it is called 'Ultimate Space Battle' or something similar. Hopefully Sam can confirm any othee details for us. Jon.
  18. Hmm.. a compass (x404c02) Now who could that be? Jon.
  19. Ok, we've heard it all. Now lets change the subject. Back to the avatar topic, erm Yoda.. do you even have an avatar?? Jon.
  20. I was going to point this out too. When I was there all they had was a load of loose footballs and a small selection of blue and black bricks. I may have gone just before they replaced the stock though, as there were loads of empty tubs on the wall. Jon.
  21. I went into Woolworths this afternoon to see if they had any Episode III sets in stock yet. But they only had some Darth Vader Transformations and some JSF and Vulture Droids. But the JSF set has a plastic wrapper on it and a mini JSF in-between the box and wrapper. I bought one (as I dont have the set yet, and was intrigued by the mini). I asked if they had any loose JSF minis but they said that was how they were shipped to them from TLC. So maybe they will have the ARC mini in the future, with the ARC fighter set. Well worth checking out your local Woolies to see if they have this offer too. Jon.
  22. Hey Ed! Good to see you here at eurobricks, I am sure I have bumpd itno you at CC and FBTB in the past. Hope you enjoy it here and good luck with the trade! :) Jon.
  23. The magnet sets looks like an attempt to provide more minifigs, maybe we will see more of these and possibly some small storytellers/army builders. Jon.
  24. http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...ct=ST&f=2&t=845 There are only 4 due to be released at the moment, but hopefully there will be others later this year. Jon.
  25. Here are a few Lego examples:- http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=72308 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=38799 And here is a site with some pictures from the movie and of a modified Hasbro one:- http://www.starwarsdinnernuernberg.de/acti..._riedel_IV5.htm Again, I hope this helps :) And I can't wait to see pics of your Deflector shield! Jon.
