My musical taste has expanded over the years, but the song that always sticks out to me is Animal I Have Become - Three Days Grace, it's the first song I learned to play so even if don't listen to those guys that much anymore, it'll always be in my warm up routine.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
BrickTamland replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks just2good, all the leaks are appreciated. Now depending on how impressive the main build of the biggest set is this is a really solid wave, I do hope they can pull off armored Batman but him being in the cheapest set leaves me doubting it'll be much more than a serviceable variant.- 8,446 replies

Glad to see so many people hoping for Eowyn to make an appearance. I just think that this is the perfect platform for Lego to really produce a lot of characters and themes that otherwise wouldn't see the light of day. It will be interesting to see how distribution is managed.

What was the last movie you watched?
BrickTamland replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
John Wick. Wasn't expecting much, but was happily surprised. Great action movie, some of the best fight scenes of the last year. -
Great first review! As a huge walker fan its great to get one thats not a redesign, or one of those tiny battlepack vechicles.

Ultron drone looks great, and even those Iron legion figs seem pretty good. Still not sold on the Avengers tower set though. -

Added some items to a future bricklink order, also picked some polybags out of my collection as stocking stuffers for my little siblings. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
BrickTamland replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
This news just keeps getting better for Marvel fans. I'm psyched for the Winter Soldier polybag, and interested to see how they handle Antmans mini-minifig. The Marvel roster is already huge for next year, hopefully the summer sets feature some stronger builds than the tacked on vehicles that often accompany our heroes. -

Excited for the Jurassic World workers, Dr Wu especially, but not impessed by a reused Star-Lord face if that does happen to be the case.- 1,412 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

If that early release date is true then sweet! The more I look at this wave the more its growing on me, huge improvement over the first wave imo. Better baddies for army building, more diverse heroes, and arguably better prints all around. I mean I'll take the Hulkbuster set over Helicarrier Breakout any day. Plus a UCS Helicarrier does seem to be coming soon! -
Nice work, Grond is great, I especially love the attention to detail on the top of the wall, and the doors are just brilliant!

Got Utapau BP as a gift. Happily surprised by the stud shooters.

After watching the the movie its even more of a shame we didn't get armoured elves, and dwarves, but still not as bad an omission as soldiers of Gondor were to the LotR sets.
-
Lord of the Rings, there are always good space themes and sets, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Lego Movie even had a spaceship, spaceship, spaceship. Castles are a little harder to come by and LotR just has less competition.

Sorting my collection brick by boring brick. Its great to find those long forgotten minifigs though. -
After watching BotFA I'd say it didn't destroy expectations, and it had its shortcomings, but its a worthy addition to the cinematic Middle Earth. It did leave me wishing for a live action adaption of The Silmarillion.

Wow, I'm mostly impressed. The Quinjet and Hulkbuster sets are early favorites, but Hulkbuster does suffer from the same scale problems that plagued Groot, and its obvious Lego was more savy in how they spaced the Avengers throughout the wave. Which means we are looking at even more Ironmen. -

I was a little dissapointed at first and if I did not enjoy the Traveller's Tales games so much I might pass, but that being said this Bilbo looks like an excellent variant.
