  1. Mystery Mansion interior as someone pointed out -
  2. ^^^^ People need to read the other forum postings. I already mentioned that Tree Monster as a possibility and somebody else mentioned another possibility.
  3. Is there a reason why this hasn't been pinned? LEGO.com has the actual press release in their News Room link on their frontpage. It is an official theme now.
  4. Everyone knows there will at least 1 polybag, seems to be the norm. Technically MF got 4. COBI released a "Mystery figure" series for Scooby so I'm wondering if LEGO won't do the same for a series with CMF? BTW - For anyone who wants them for ideas, I will be uploading every COBI instruction booklet for all of their Scooby Doo sets. Great for adding ideas to our Scooby sets if you want to modify them and assuming they're not already incorporated into them since LEGO tends to be copycating a lot from COBI. My opinions real quick (from a 31 year old AFOL): Mansion and Machine are the best. Lighthouse was alittle disappointing and the Plane set is an absolute disaster - COBI done it better. Mummy - Given the MF line gave us a chariot for about $11.99 I'm not expecting the Mummy set to be anything great beyond an impulse set. (the Studios line gave us a Mummy's tomb for $3.99 by comparison) It is highly likely LEGO plans to release more waves given the fact they planned to make movies in the future based off this line, according to the press release found at LEGO.com.
  5. Tree Monster: I'm surprised no one's divulged on his origins, so far what I have found is from: http://scoobydoo.wikia.com/wiki/Scooby-Doo_and_the_Witch%27s_Ghost
  6. I thought the one in the lighthouse set was dark green?
  7. This might be a good lead to finding the source for that swamp monster... http://scoobydoo.wikia.com/wiki/Gill-man Then the flat brown tiles would work if we had to do that.
  8. Save your money... just buy the plain trans-orange head. They're a steal at this store: http://www.bricklink.com/storeDetail.asp?b=-30772416&h=12178&itemIDseq=637 You can also use single flat brown round tiles, single studded brown round tiles, or even squared versions of these for Scooby snacks. To me, the Scooby snacks from the first series looked like cookies but recently Scooby snacks have been marketed as bone-shaped graham crackers.
  9. The Lighthouse also has a sign. Finding out what that says could be a "clue" to finding out the inspiration for these sets. Obviously this isn't fully based on "A Clue for Scooby Doo" since a swamp monster appears. It also doesn't appear that these sets are based on SDWAY entirely since it's already suggested the Headless Horseman set is based on a later Headless Horseman episode from another series.
  10. Finally! Awesome sets. You could tell you were looking at the Headless Horseman in the first leaked photo of the Mystery Machine since the horse could be seen in the corner and it was on the same color of pedestal as the Mystery Machine. Isn't it strange how the design concept and many of the theme's colors matches the Scooby line from COBI?
  11. Yes I noticed the wall the Count is on spins. I haven't watched Scooby in a while so I couldn't tell you what's on the other end. WB/Lego are being way to protective over these sets to not even let us see the backends. I wonder if it has anything to do with Superbowl Sunday and maybe waiting until tomorrow for a commercial? I hope photos will be allowed to be taken at the New York Toy Fair. Either way, I'm getting my Monster Fighter sets ready even if it is January, lol. I also mix the Studio sets with the Monster Fighter sets and give my monsters their own realm. They also added the Harry Potter Grave Duel set and will add, somewhere, the Witch King Battle set because that was probably the scariest scene in that whole Hobbit film trilogy.
  12. I know LEGO released the images for both sets but we got a bunch of watermarked images. BrickJournal released them at over 2000x1000 resolution and without watermarks. We get an opportunity to see the sets very close-up. That revealed we are getting at least 2 of those new pumpkin molds - the other one is in the greenhouse behind the one outside. Here's the link: http://brickjournal.com/view/article/441/ On a side note: For those of you who do not want the Purple bricks that this Mansion gives you, buying their black equivalents would be easy and probably affordable, making the set blend much better with the Vampyre Castle and Arkahym Asylum Breakout (I will be mixing all those sets together for my Halloween display this year).
  13. I did find high resolution images of both the Mystery Machine and Mystery Castle. I think BrickJournal was my source.
  14. 2015 Nuremburg Toy Fair - Why are there not leaked photos of Scooby Doo sets to be found? I know photography has been prohibited but I mean, c'mon, there's always somebody sneaking a pic or 2 or a video. And why haven't we heard much more about these sets in the last 2 days, at the very least? This is the only theme I care about and it's being hard to see anything for it. Warner Bros. is notorious for this before TLC tightened their leak policies. 2015 Nuremberg Toy Fair 2015 Nuremberg Toy Fair
  15. From what I've gathered, this is a known list of which of the cartoons these sets come from. They weren't accurate with everything and they even mixed many monsters and components with the Haunted Mansion but here goes it: Mystery Mansion: What a Night For a Knight (Black Knight) / A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts (Dracula) / A Night of Fright is No Delight (Ghost) / Haunted House Hang-Up (Greenhouse) Mummy Museum Mystery: Scooby Doo and a Mummy, Too Mystery Plane Adventures: Haunted House Hang-Up The Mystery Machine: Which Witch is Which Haunted Lighthouse: A Clue for Scooby Doo
  16. Another good point, I haven't seen the Simpsons stuff in that catalog either.
  17. According to the new catalog (I assume for retailers) that just was released on other Lego fan sites, there is no mention of anything Scooby or Spooky related to be released between January-June. We can only hope this wasn't a very false rumor.
  18. Pumpkin Head found - http://imgur.com/a/BiGaw You've heard a lot of talk of upcoming Iron Man helmets being found but this thread fails to mention more about the Pumpkin head, also found at the link above. The rumors are spreading and collectively so far they are: 1. It's another figure for Series 14 of CMF. 2. It's of the Headless Horseman, a villain throughout many series of Scooby Doo 3. It's Jack O Lantern's head, a villain from the Marvel universe. The cartoonish look suggests 1 or 2 and with talks of, at least, a spooky and retro theme coming soon, it would more so align with that. Especially since for 3 fire would have to protrude from its head.
  19. I'm sorry but I gotta add this... It seems that LEGO and the other brick brands rip each other off. Therefore, with that logic, the only other Scooby building sets out now are by Character Building / COBI and they are running at the price one would expect to pay for the LEGO equivalent, if you didn't factor in piece count, which now makes these Cobi Scooby's really expensive in the aftermarket. Look at the Dracula Castle by COBI below. Notice the inside of the castle have a few things that both the LEGO Vampyre Castle and Haunted House have (or should have)? Let's look: - Knight statue - I was mad when neither sets had a real knight statue like the ones in the Harry Potter set. Or just any statue. A Knight's helmet was just a lazy attempt to say Hey we know a statue should be here but tough. - Grandfather clock - You had to buy this as a separate polybag but if you did it fits nicely in the living room of the Haunted House by LEGO. - Jail - The LEGO castle actually did have this. - Fireplace - The Haunted House had this. - Dracula/coffin - The LEGO castle had this. However, if you use your imagination and move some things around, the new Halloween set with the double-sided coffin doors and the cool lock/chain from LEGO makes a nice addition to the Haunted House's attic. Also, keep in mind what COBI has done in other sets and their relation to LEGO: - Mystery Machine: OK, Lego has that new Volkswagon but has never really attempted this kind of van beyond that or a RV camper or ince cream truck in the LM sets. - Pirate Ghost Ship - Aside from POTC and I believe Duplo, LEGO never has had a ghost ship to itself. It would be great to see another one, especially made with ghosts in mind, even if it is licensed. - Vehicles - There's a swamp boat and jungle cruise car that resembles some of the LEGO MF versions, just bigger in some ways. There is also a plane that slightly resembles the MF one. - Clown- The most evil clowns ever in LEGO were the first-run clowns from the mid-late '80s. Those were scary and if I recall you could even shoot them from cannons. LEGO as the toyline itself never has had any evil circus theme or clown, aside from The Joker. - Sasquatch - The Yeti set from Adventurers: Orient Expedition is closest yet they're two different monsters. LEGO has a lot of work for them if they plan to beat, at least, the characters and ideas COBI brought. I have no doubt their product will be better so long as they can deliver a more realistic Mystery MKachine and just-as-good Scooby mold and without all the issues caused by the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 set. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Character-Building-LEGO-Compatible-SCOOBY-DOO-Draculas-Castle-Mega-Play-Set-/400791333903?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item5d51066c0f
  20. It's assumed based on people's locations as to the sets that remained on shelves. They remained on the shelves at Target in Titusville, Florida until they were removed. We can only assume the Zombie set was the most popular but only then that's because it was sold out on Lego.com really quickly. Could also mean they didn't make as many especially since it came out later after the rest of the sets. Or it could mean it really sold that much. I have no clue why Lego does not print their sales information (although I thought I'd seen somewhere it was posted and MF wasn't in the list of top-sellers).
  21. lol Most of you guys are replying to each other without looking at the original sources, so let's stop these crazy rumors in their tracks... SCOOBY DOO - Source is here which is from a list of credible sources: http://www.thebrickf...ego-scooby-doo/ DR. WHO - Is totally separate from Scooby Doo, it's not in competition with LEGO Scooby, we know for sure SCOOBY is happening. The same article above mentions DR WHO was picked up. NINJAGO (corrected from CHIMA) - That's all based on heresay "a retailer said this, blah blah blah". NINJAGO was supposed to be cancelled a while back, however, due to its popularity it was expanded. Likely a lot of false info being passed around is based on older and outdated information found in some of the mentioned videos that should have been taken offline. On the topic of licenses: SO WHAT! MegaBloks shares a couple of these licensed properties: SPIDER-MAN: http://www.amazon.co...n building sets SPONGEBOB: http://www.megabloks...toys/spongebob/ I still find these along the toy shelves at TARGET along with LEGO versions. If using License logic is the only way you want to believe none of this is happening then I have nothing more to say to you. I hope SCOOBY isn't based on the new show, but analysis of LEGO and Cartoon Network would lend me to believe it is. That doesn't always make it right either way.
  22. Given the fact that the MF theme was loosely based on an original design based on Scooby Doo, it is feasible it will be Scooby Doo especially since the source has already proven accurate. MegaBloks, I believe, also has a license to make Spiderman sets, so licenses don't always mean anything if they can be shared. The Character Building sets were based a lot of the original MF concept design, which included the Mystery Machine, Dracula's Castle, and a Ghost Ship. That theme also included vehicles similar to the MF vehicles. It should also be noted that the Dracula's Castle and Haunted Mansion sets are the same for the Character Building License, although playsets by other manufacturers actually use a two-story house from the original series as the mansion. It is very likely LEGO will sell similar sets since the two announced have been the van and castle. In a related note, KRE-O knocked off the MF Vampyre Castle and sold it for about $25.
