  1. I'm new, so forgive me if this is stupid. Couldn't you just build up a "tower" of bricks to the height you want, put a bird on it and then remove the "tower"? I mean, when I've tried to rotate an arm, it moved but left the unconnected hand where it was...incidentally showing me that my hand was unconnected. But if "flew" there...or is that not what you meant?
  2. Well, that's a wish of mine. So I put it in the Wish List thread...And I guess it isn't really a bug, but I put it here to see if anyone had a solution. Sorry for the double post.
  3. An ability to take a piece of the corrugated pipe for instance and attach it to a starting point. Then, click on an alignment tool, click on the other end of the pipe and then click on the final attachment point. The end result would be giving the pipe a "bend". (In my head that makes sense but if it doesn't, let me know and I'll see what I can do). An example of the end reuslt I'm looking for:
  4. Is it safe to say that this (the hoses) isn't possible in LDD?
  5. Brilliant. I've been using a print screen function. Thanks man.
  6. Wow! That seems like a great tool. I'll dl and give it a try. Thanks. Thanks. I am in LU mode, I just must have been tired. I guess I should walk away sometimes...
  7. Seems most of my time in frustration is trying to find parts...does this piece exist in LDD anymore? I can't seem to find it. If it doesn't, is there a work around?
  8. That is the set in question. Other than that, it's moving along nicely...I've had some frustration getting things lined up at times but it's going good for my second model.
  9. Holy awesome! This is the kind of stuff I've been trying to do. I've got the tutorial that was posted on here and am going to try it out. I've been looking for a good one for awhile now. THANKS! You guys' stuff rocks.
  10. I wonder what the heck is wrong then. I'll try a new creation and see if I can get a single instance to work. Frustrated over here.
  11. Figures. The directions call for that piece in connection with those other three. If LDD won't allow an illegal build, why does the official LEGO directions call for it? Seems they ought to be consistent...Oh well, I'll see if I can work around it somehow(I'll look at the above suggestion). Is there a non-compression match piece? btw, even when I pull apart all three pieces, it won't go all the way to the stop on any of them by themselves. Can someone else try the combination, and the single instances and see if they get the same issue?
  12. I need some help figuring out why this piece: (2M FricSnap w Cross Hole) will not seat properly. No matter what I do, it won't go all the way through to the stop. Even if it's just the one brick, it still stops right where it's showing here: Another view: Alignment of the brick doesn't seem to be a problem...it just won't go any further for some reason. Any help would be appreciated. *And it looks like I put this in the wrong section...sorry. Can a mod please move to the LDD section?
  13. Nice, but without the full wheel, it looks kinda strange. Personally, I like the wheels from the 7261 set better.
  14. Updated to LDD 4 10134 - UCS Y-wing Attack Starfighter - Theme: Star Wars My first attempt at a model in LDD turned out decent but there were build errors and glaring color errors, which I'm surprised no one pointed out. I rebuilt this model from the ground up and used the colors from the Bricklink inventory. It's as close as I could possibly get it due to some parts not being available in LDD. Issues/Changes - No 75c06 Copper Hose, Rigid 3mm D. 6L / 4.8cm - No 32077 White Wheel 70 x 28 mm Futuristic (used a different wheel) - No 78c02 White Hose, Ribbed 7mm D. 2L (used 72504 Corrugated Pipe 16mm) - No 4315 White Hinge Vehicle Roof Holder 1 x 4 (used 44568 Plate 1x4 W/ Stumps Vertical) - No x102 White Windscreen 6 x 6 x 3 Canopy Half Sphere with Hinge (used Dome 47.84 w. combi hinge) - 4 32123 1/2 Bush's wouldn't fit on the upright axle of the engines. They caused a collision error. ----- A couple times when I've re-opened this file, I've gotten the "bricks were improperly placed and have been removed" error on the following: - 50747 Dome 47.84 w. combi hinge - 30374 Light Sword - Blade (located above the cockpit) - 48336 Plate 1x2 w. stick 3.18 (located above the cockpit) Download the LXF
