Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular

What site did that picture come from? -
Putting the red fronts to the nacelles on the blue piece i used would of been impossible and would not of made the nacelles look good.

Thank you for your comment. The saucer part did come out to big because since I did not have the other half of the saucer curved pieces, I had to make the plates in the back half longer so as to make it look spherical.

Here is my star ship Enterprise based on the ship from the movie First Contact. As you can see I was limited in special pieces to build it so i had to improvise ; namely in the saucer section where I only had two parts. Darth Malgus seem to be wearing a castle style chest armor, but the sith trooper helmets are just incredible.

I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan but when I saw the Toy Fair pics I must admit I am very much underwhelmed. I was expecting a lot more from the sets namely they look small and don`t seem to have that wow factor. I am very disappointed in Helms Deep castle if that is what I can call it; it looks like just a shell , something I would expect from those knock-off brands, where as the other sets appear to be made of just some small structures, for example, The Mines Of Moria and the Uruk-hai Army sets just to name a few. It just seems to me that Lego is banking that people will go for this theme just for the minifigures rather than the sets themselves.

Police in New Zealand on Friday raided several homes and businesses linked to the founder of Megaupload.com, a giant file-sharing site shut down by U.S. authorities, and seized guns, millions of dollars, and nearly $5 million in luxury cars, officials said. Police arrested founder Kim Dotcom and three Megaupload employees Thursday on U.S. accusations that they facilitated millions of illegal downloads of films, music and other content, costing copyright holders at least $500 million in lost revenue. Extradition proceedings against them could last a year or more. With 150 million registered users, about 50 million hits daily and endorsements from music superstars, Megaupload.com was among the world's biggest file-sharing sites. According to a U.S. indictment, the site, which was shut down Thursday, earned Dotcom $42 million in 2010 alone. Although the company is based in Hong Kong and Dotcom lives in New Zealand, some of the alleged pirated content was hosted on leased servers in Virginia, and that was gave U.S. prosecutors jurisdiction to act. New Zealand police served 10 search warrants at several businesses and homes around the city of Auckland. Police spokesman Grant Ogilvie said the seized cars include a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe worth more than $400,000 as well as several Mercedes. Two short-barreled shotguns and a number of valuable artworks were also confiscated, he added. Pictures posted on Flickr and technology news website Gizmodo showed the haul included a 2010 Maserati and a pink Cadillac. One Mercedes had the personalized license place "MAFIA,"while another had a plated that read "CEO." A report by New Zealand news website stuff.co.nz said Detective Inspector Grant Wormald from the Organized and Financial Crime Agency NZ (OFCANZ) gave details of the extraordinary raid, which had been planned for several months. "Police arrived in two marked police helicopters," said Wormald, according to the website. "Despite our staff clearly identifying themselves Mr. Dotcom retreated into the house and activated a number of electronic locking mechanisms. While police neutralized these locks he then further barricaded himself into a safe room within the house which officers had to cut their way into." Once they gained entry into this room they found Dotcom near a firearm which had the appearance of a sawed-off shotgun, Wormald said. "It was definitely not as simple as knocking at the front door," he added. New Zealand's Fairfax Media reported that the four defendants stood together in an Auckland courtroom in the first step of the extradition proceedings. Dotcom's lawyer raised objections to a media request to take photographs and video, but then Dotcom spoke, saying he didn't mind photos or video "because we have nothing to hide." The judge granted the media access, and ruled that the four would remain in custody until a second hearing Monday. Dotcom, Megaupload's former CEO and current chief innovation officer, is a resident of Hong Kong and New Zealand and a dual citizen of Finland and Germany who had his name legally changed. The 37-year-old was previously known as Kim Schmitz and Kim Tim Jim Vestor. Two other German citizens and one Dutch citizen also were arrested and three other defendants — another German, a Slovakian and an Estonian — remain at large. Megaupload has retained Washington, D.C. power attorney Bob Bennett in the case, according to a person inside the company. Bennett is best known for representing former President Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The person within Megaupload spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the company's plans. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, which defends free speech and digital rights online, said in a statement that the arrests set "a terrifying precedent. If the United States can seize a Dutch citizen in New Zealand over a copyright claim, what is next?" The indictment was unsealed one day after websites including Wikipedia and Wired shut down in protest of two U.S. proposals intended to make it easier for authorities to go after sites with pirated material, especially those with overseas headquarters and servers. Before Megaupload was taken down, the company posted a statement saying allegations that it facilitated massive breaches of copyright laws were "grotesquely overblown." "The fact is that the vast majority of Mega's Internet traffic is legitimate, and we are here to stay. If the content industry would like to take advantage of our popularity, we are happy to enter into a dialogue. We have some good ideas. Please get in touch," the statement said. Several sister sites were also shut down, including one dedicated to sharing pornography files.

You are one lucky guy .........by the way how does the elevator operate what is the device that moves it up and down?
-
Is anyone a little curious to how that guy got his hands on the set since it hasnt been officially released in stores or even officially been announced by lego and also how does the elevator work meaning how does it move up and down?
-
Thank you for the picture of the back and it looks as much as I feared that it will have a gap in the interior. I was pretty much hopping for the entire space inside to be available. I wonder if a string will be used to move the elevator up and down?

Did you keep the original distance between each boom to get the puffed-out effect of the sails? and do you know if they make the part you used to connect the sails to the boom in the brown colour so that it blends in with the boom?

I sent them an email with my contact information but having negative VIP points doesnt mean you owe them money ......how can you owe then if you pay with a credit card and if you redeem VIP points you can only redeem what you have for example if you redeem 100 VIP points aka. $5 you only get that amount in the drop down list so its impossible to say redeem $1000 from 100 VIP points.

Hello I am wondering if anyone is having any major problems with their Lego VIP points since brick friday. On my last purchase on the 28th of November i had a balance of 94 VIP points but on the 30th i saw i went from 94 VIP points to -2944 VIP points. I waited a few days because i noticed that the VIP points were changing constantly and I was aware of the problems the website was experiencing but today when i checked my account my VIP points now read as -3143 which it just plain ridiculous.

I bought sponge bob glove world, the winter post office, city garbage truck and ambulance and the ewok attack set plus the 2nd Christmas promotional set. That is it for me for this year I planning on getting only the Death Star but I just couldn`t pass up lego`s early black friday sale.
-
Today I bought my first Death Star and whats so great is that I had $165 in vip points therefore taking into account lego`s free shipping after $20 in tax I paid ONLY $255 for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......I knew all those vip points I was saving for the last two years would come in handy and I can`t wait to start building it on christmas day.

The blue boat next to the tower bridge in the first picture is very interesting I never saw that one before.

Doesn`t looks like much savings from those prices.

New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive

Aesthetically speaking this set is meant to have the two towers facing back to back but there in lies a problem . Considering the detail that is on the inside of the towers and the positioning of the pins playability will be reduced or in effect not be capable if the two tower are attached as Lego suggests in the pictures . Of course one would like to think that there would be instructions that allows the tower to be opened up but like I said the positioning of the pins on both the top and bottom suggest a sense of permanent fixture of both halves . Therefore its only through some heavy mocing would any playability within the tower`s interior be achieved . I hope I am wrong though . By permanent I meant playability without having to pull both halves apart but that also means having to moved the flags on the top of the roof as they are moved over to the middle of the two towers . Is there any evidence of a hinge mechanism ? -
Yes I did read the other post and I asked for the website where I can purchase it because no where in any of the post was a website where they say sets mentioned and if you read the [post you will see no websites were mentioned....Crossmr is working on shipping I just simply asked for a website that I can visit.

Does anyone know where I can order these sets from , what website and if there are any US retailers who dont deal in bulk items because looking online all I found were wholesale sellers with oxford bricks.
