"See ya." As Alexis walks away from their conversation, Benji gets a bad feeling in his stomach. "What is she going to do now..." He wondered. Something not good, probably. But anyways, he could understand her switching from evoker to assassin. Benji had already done it once, and had been contemplating it again. He need to think about it a little more, though. Waiting for Alexis to return, Benji gets up to get a drink. As he rises he notices a brown package on where his cousin was sitting previously. He picks it up. On the other side, it says: "To Benji, to help you for your future." Benji rips it open and finds a kind gift of 500 gold inside. Benji almost yells in surprise. Murmuring words of thanks he rushes out of the hall, to wander outside, pondering his good fate, and deciding what he should purchase with this gold that his cousin had so generously provided for him.

Hooyeah! I need to get me some of that stuff!

"Yeah... He was a good old guy... I hope he's still around." Benji sighs. Maybe she wasn't going to talk about the past. Alright then, lets talk about the present. "So, Alexie, the last time I saw you you had a grand dragon spirit, and now you look more gothic than some rock groups. Whats happened since we last fought together?"

"You were seeing? Oh, you mean..." The memories were taking over again. Images flashed through his mind... Playing outside with Alexis and Megyddos when they were young... His parents... His aunt and uncle, Alexis's parents. Benji's older siblings. His brother. Oh, if not for the day that his brother threw his life away. Benji's first crush on a girl... How it pained when he had to move away... After that he didn't see his crush any more, or Alexis. Benji wonders how both the girls have grown up. Well, he sees one of them here. Broken hearted. Disspirited. And probably looking for the answers in the wrong places, as Benji keenly noticed earlier a infamous book sticking out of Alexis's bag. "I must get her to think of the past." Benji mused to himself. "Then she will realize all is not as bad as it seems." His thoughts turn back to reality, in the meantime he had failed to see his friend Xander walk up with a suspicious mushroom smelling package. "Do you remember Megyddos, Alexie?" Benji questioned faintly.

Yeah, congrats K-nut. I was thinking about doing it and becoming a Beast Warrior, but I decided that it wasn't the right time RP-wise, and I think that the GP would have been wasted on Level Up Mushrooms when I just got the medal of glory.

Benji watched as Alexis got up from her seat and came over towards him. He didn't expect her to, but at least it was a nice surprise. "Hi Alexie..." He mumbled. "Sorry I didn't say hi to you earlier. I didn't think you would remember me. We've haven't talked in a long time." Benji mused for a minute and then continued to talk: "I don't know how my mother is. I haven't talked to her since my father died and I left home. In fact, my family is what I have been worrying about, since I've gotten back from the fields. It was a nice and relaxing time, to go hunting, but it reminded me of the good old days. Back home. I miss my mom. I miss my friends." He sighs. "I'm depressed, Alexis. At least I think so. I think that is what's wrong with me. Anyways, I'm not sure you're doing so great either. My elfish instincts have been honed a bit with all the hunting, so yeah... I just felt that you might be going throw some rough times too." Benji continues to stare at the table as he talks to the elf.

Benji glances at Alexis. He had not noticed her when he had returned to the hall. He had known her for a while - they were cousins, after all, but their relationship had faded away, and he wasn't sure if she would still remember him. He noted to himself that she looked different. More mature. But glancing again, maybe not so much. Still, something had changed in her. Something was wrong. Benji starts to get up to talk to her, but instead remains in his seat. He needed to think about it, along with the many other things that had been putting off thinking about for a long time... yes, he needed time to think.

Sandy, how long is Quest #66 planned to be? A relatively short quest or a longer one?

Benji returns to the hall with a new hat, and presumably a lot of other new or improved stuff. Before quietly going to sit down at an empty table, he puts up a sign advertising a couple of things for sale. FOR SALE: Pointy Hat (+2 maximum ether). 60 gold, or best offer. Quiver of Poisoning (permanent Poisoned effect). 150 gold, or best offer. Also interested in trades for either items. ~Benji

Benji walks into the marketplace with his pockets full of gold. Deep in thought, he didn't feel like starting a conversation in the hall, so he decided to fulfill his urge to go on a shopping spree. He first visits Elphaba. "Hey there. Haven't seen you have for a few moons. Anyways, I'd like to purchase from you a Scroll of Sleep, Blindness, Confusion, Frailty, and Weakening. Also, I have 10 bones to sell, I heard that you buy them for 5 gold each." 626-(50*5)+50=426 gold remaining Benji then heads over to Fabian, looking at all of the interesting items he has for sale. He is tempted to spend some gold on buying some nice stuff, but instead he asks Fabian to do some scroll merging with his newly acquired Medal of Glory. "Please merge these with this medal. I need to be protected from these nasty effects." Benji hands over the medal and 250 gold, and receives his medal in return with immunity to the asleep, blinded, confused, fragile, and weakened effects. 426-250=176 gold remaining Benji stops as he is about to leave Fabian's shop. He forgot something. "Also, I'd like to get a tricorne. Thanks." 176-120=56 gold remaining Wandering around the other marketeers in the marketplace, I sell the two black pearls and two golden fleeces that I had with me. 56+(75*2)+(90*2)=386 gold in inventory With this newly found gold, I go and purchase some consumables. "4 nostrums and 5 smelling salts, please." 386-(35*4)-(25*5)=121 gold remaining To finish off my current gold spending craze, I go and merge my garnet with my crossbow. 121-50=71 gold remaining Benji silently leaves the marketplace and returns to the hall, still deep in thought.
