Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
KartoffelViking replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The following PotC sets were being put on the shelves at Target Newton (Adelaide) about half an hour ago: Isla de la Muerta The Cannibal Escape The Mill Pity they didn't have Fountain of Youth, which is the only set I would consider getting at RRP. -

If it's the flexible train tracks you're referring to, they have them at TRU TTP, although at the full ~$30. -
Happy hatch-day, Izzy! Wish you all the best and may you receive heaps and heaps of LEGO bricks today

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
KartoffelViking replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I never brought up my profession despite ample opportunities to do so, I was too afraid it would be used against me Nor did I ever mention my car tuning hobby. However, I tried adding some mock rap/hip hop slang to my day thread posts to reflect my taste in music -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa

Haha, love the seagull in the "class of..." shot If I had a hat I would take it off for you Sandy; thanks heaps for a great game, I really enjoyed it! Sorry for bugging you with newbie questions the first couple of days. I know this was a "mafia school" game for beginners, but after having followed other mafia games here I was somewhat paranoid and suspicious of everyone, including the host, and I wouldn't accept anything at face value As for being the doctor, I really struck gold when deciding to protect Bridget Darwin (Brickdoctor) the first night, even though I did it on the false assumption that Ravi Bombay (RvB) would turn out scum. I had no idea that Bridget was the cop, and the game would have been totally different if I had protected someone else and she had died the first night. Since that night I only protected Bridget. Otherwise I tried to stay off the mafia's radar, although I sparked some heated discussions on a couple of occacions, and I was getting a little excited and ahead of myself on day 5 when I thought we'd be able to get rid of the last piece of scum Big thanks to my fellow participants, in particular those I had private discussions with. The game wouldn't have been the same without you, the things you said and the things you did -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Six

Word. If Bridget is not the real cop, I'm sure we would have heard rumors or claims regarding the real cop from others by now. I will therefore Vote: Panda Panjin (Pandora) -

Indeed, poor Siegmund And while he was an innocent townie, let's not forget that he was also a German with a hankering for stuffing large, pink teddy bears, and treasure hunting. Bless his twisted soul -
Congrats to the 15 lucky ducks out there!

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Five

It hardly matters now, but in the name of unanimity I will Unvote: Vanya Livny (Baylego) Vote: Geert Rotterdam (Gregorovich) -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Five
KartoffelViking replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I beg to differ, Vanya. I think that is exactly what scum would do. Knowing that Dan was going to get lynched, you conveniently cast the deciding vote in order to appear pro-town. You may be blonde, but I don't believe you're stupid. I will therefore Vote: Vanya Livny (Baylego) -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Five
KartoffelViking replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Props to the French chick; two more bags of scum gone  It's a real pity about Cruz, though But we should put the energy we use to mourn our fallen innocents into continuing our momentum against the last piece(s) of scum. Surely Geert or Vanya is on the top of the list of suspected scum by now, no? -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa

Colette might be the rage-queen, but Mr. Crusoe is certainly the rage-king! Did he really have to cut Erin's head off?! I guess it's easier to carry a severed head around than a whole body... And seeing Dreo's head on a stake, always smiling, just cracked me up Then the parting shot made me realise what the severed heads are for. The photo has a certain romantic feel to it, Mr. Crusoe should put it in his advertising Fantastic work, Sandy! It's early morning my time, and you've already made my day. Thank you muchly! -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Four
KartoffelViking replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
After much consideration, and in the interest of the town majority, and self-preservation from the French rage-queen, I will Vote: Danielle Barrie (Dan the Brickman) For some reason I feel sick again, like I did when voting for Raquel -

Whoah, this day is getting interesting... I will therefore Unvote: Danielle Barrie (Dan the Brickman) -

Thanks, Colette, for sharing that piece of information. It is clear to me now that I should Vote: Danielle Barrie (Dan the Brickman) -

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Four
KartoffelViking replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, isn't that convenient... But I should really be happy if you have indeed been cleared Well, assuming you're scum, I guess you would never consider a fellow scumbag suspicious I'm torn between voting for Danielle or Geert, now. -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Four

First of all; buyaka and good riddance to the late scumbag Dreo! Pat on the back to everyone who voted for him Which brings me to the next issue... No diggety... My heart says: no, no, no! No benefit, no doubt, no second chances My non-intoxicated and refreshed mind says: well, let's see how the day progresses. I'm keeping my eyes on you, Siegmund -
Siegmund, you break my heart. And my broken heart tells me I should vote for you However, I have gone through the events of the last few days over and over again, and together with the information from Colette, my mind tells me that Dreo really needs to be put to the test. He did seal Raquel's fate, after all. I will therefore Vote: Dreo Jacmel (dr jones) Siegmund, I hope you will think differently of me when you see that a member of the mafia league has been convicted.
-
Aw, Siegmund, my brother from another mother... I was considering defending you from Colette's outrage, but I'm not too keen on doing that now Using the word 'adamant' is a bit strong, isn't it? I was stating a hypothesis, but the logic of it was quickly dismissed by others, and I haven't pursued the issue, apart from a comment in jest to Danielle. And the double meaning was certainly not my intention, as I have explained before. Just to show that I bear no grudge toward you, I won't vote for you at this stage. And I kindly ask that you unvote me at your earliest convenience. But if it comes down to a choice between you and me, I'll be throwing my vote, and anything else I can get my hands on, at you
-
Well, I don't know the facts, of course, and the ways of the gods are mysterious, so all I can do is make assumptions. I'm not surprised you're against the idea, though. You are a staff member, after all You mean Dreo? dr jones is a great nick, tough! "dr jones": pour me some medicine, please! I don't have any evidence, that's why I made a presumption and used the magic of statistics and probability. And I tried to present it as a last ditch option, not the optimal solution. We should of course explore any traces of evidence, first. I'm happy to see it sparked a response, though
-
Actually, presuming the scum has infiltrated visitors and staff equally, wouldn't probability tell us there's a higher chance of lynching a piece of scum from the remaining staff members today? So if no evidence, circumstantial or otherwise, emerges today, I'd say we lynch a random staff member Except for Dreo, of course. We need someone to mix drinks for us, that's essential I do dig that this is no laughing matter, and I'm making a big presumption here. But after seeing all the blood and gore over the last couple of days I'm beginning to lose my cool and let the inner cynic take over. I'll be having a little nap now, you'll find me in the spa.
