This is fantastic. =D The design of the front is so brilliant. I'm Adventist too. :) Congratulations to the Roskilde Adventist Church.

Review: 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush

In the images and clips that I have seen of Dol Guldur, it has no front gate or door. -

Eurobrick's 4th LDD RCB
MattTheLegoman replied to Piratedave84's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I am sure that LEGO would take that into consideration. In fact, making a build specifically for Cuusoo is a great idea. Just got to get the logistics right (piece count, number of builders, types of pieces used.). -
Eurobrick's 4th LDD RCB

Huzza, yet another great Relay Community Build! It does look grand, I wonder how it compares to the classic pirate stuff? In terms of bricks, size and minifigure count? -
I will give these four suggestions (for realism and making it better to my eyes) The outer wall of Minas Tirith was much taller than Helms Deep, it was also indestructible (but an earthquake under the wall could destroy it). The Mordor catapults were for destroying the buildings inside, burning stuff, and throwing severed heads. Here is the 'texture' of the wall from the game BfME. Your arches are great, but perhaps one of the pillars? Or you could try getting the Merlons (?) (The things sticking up from the wall) a little bit more accurate. Or just like the Helms Deep wall piece with the jutting out tower. Any way that you could make it angled? Minas Tirith is round, but hinge pieces would work. With colour, it's the White City! Stick with Light Grey or White. P.S. (But in the books the outer wall was black like Orthanc).

Even if it isn't modular (but I definitely think it will be) it will be incredible easy to brick in as the walls are of the same design.

An army of Gandalfs and Sarumans? A new power is rising! The Seeing Seat us what it is called, on Amon Hen, the Hill of Sight. The throne seems to have a similar effect as the Palantiri.

LotR Scenery and Army Building Sets
MattTheLegoman replied to Elander's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The Battlepack could include the Galadhrim? Or Moria Goblins and Lothlorien Elves could be two Battlepacks, like the Star Wars style (AU$15-20). Will edit to pounds/euro sometime today. -
LDD 4.2.5 is out

A programmer would need specifications of your computer. What sort I have no clue but what type of Graphics Driver will help. It seems as if LLD is running in Compatibility mode. You have Windows 7 though, so I do not think it needs to be in that mode, perhaps your Graphics Driver is unsupported. Just a guess however, but it is a usual problem. -
MOC: Modular Lord of the Rings in LDD
MattTheLegoman replied to MattTheLegoman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What tiers. Stairs are what I am scared of in this build. I use 3D models from Battle for Middle Earth Worldbuilder, to make the designs obsessively accurate. -
Awesome I will be watching.
-
How about Metalic White?
-
Correct. He looks nice this way, but I would of thought Dark Red to be more accurate. But Metalic Dark Grey would of also fit.
-
The name he goes by in the mannish languages is Gimli. The quality of these minifigs is astounding. I am looking out for the evil character's to go with them though. Which currently only includes the fighting Uruk-hai, Moria Goblins, and a Cave Troll, which will be great for this first line of LEGO Lord of the Rings!
-
I am very impressed Eggyslav. It wasn't the sort of modular I was looking for to convert some my Megablocks sets. But this could be a plausible LEGO set! A perfect mixture of fine details, humour, simplicity and creativity. Wow Red Rock has everything! Just check out the LXF.

MOC: Modular Lord of the Rings in LDD
MattTheLegoman replied to MattTheLegoman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The next stage in Modular Lord of the Rings is Minas Tirith, but I will be off for a while to do other things. -
I really love your work Elander.
-
Change Lorien to Amen Hen. The Fellowship was ambushed at Amon Hen.
-
Games Workshop made a Peter Jackson hobbit miniature (which is missing from your list of Cameos) only two were produced, one was given to Peter and one was kept. Might LEGO do something similar?

Almost as terrible as bad grammar, is the way some people treat the names of people and places in the Tolkien Legendarium. Ugly evil guy with one eye and great depth perception is not what he is called. Gothmog, lieutenant of Minas Morgul is his name. Whether he is a corupted Maia or a leader among the orcs is debatable. Regardless, I love these ideas for sets. I will be working at LDD for quite a while to bring at least digital models about. I already have an idea for a modular Rivendell and am working on a modular Minas Tirith wall as well.

OK so this topic does need to be moved? I would love it if people stole these ideas. I have full instructions ready to scan and a headstart on the single peice base for the outlaw's cabin - rendered in LEGO it is many better bricks. :) But the problem is it would only be LDD for me at this stage. Colour of bricks is a problem my collection has. EDIT: Thanks for the move!

I don't like em either partner... So I think a conversion should be in the works. Most pieces (like those Megablocks doors) have simply melted and warped in summer heat. All Megablocks people are ruined from normal play. And the sticker-haters can jab at it too, what with peeling stickers. But I still love the designs of the sets. sniff P.S. Does anyone get the Deadwood reference in the topic description?

Wow the Wikipedia article has the same train! I wanted to improve the design of the Santa-fe. But I will be trying some more curves in the roof. Carriages are next (But will take some extensive designing time). Too bad I cannot build this lovely Australian Train in real bricks. There are some real colour shenanigans for imaginary parts in this build.
