Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB
MattTheLegoman replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I am sorry to announce: That MattTheLegoman will not be available until after the 17th of July. If it comes to my turn from now to the 17 then give my turn to one of the backups. I was very much looking forward to this build and will still be contributing on its forum when I get back. -

Like! It definitely needs some sort of Civilian Building and some Science Laboratories. But all in due time. P.S. Colour: Blue should be dominate, then there is Grey, but classic space has many more colours! Red is going good, but black and white needs some work. Its almost my turn and you know my favourite set is in these colours. -

I was getting worried that Blue would feature too much in this build. But I love the current use of blue as the base colour. The build is looking great so far! (Even though it is only turn 3.) -

I will be looking forward to turn 10, for what the build is up to then, the many designs and opportunities, and what I can contribute! Thank you so much . I have been practising some serious Classic Space, but mainly with styles and techniques. -

Sounds awesome! But we need a LDD version of the Monorail track and trains. It would be, however, fun to design a brick-built version of the Monorail, or a 'moon-rail', whatever it may turn out like. These Community Builds are an excellent source of fun with Lego Digital Designer! It will make the LEGO Company proud! I have already sent a PM. And even if I do not get picked I will be excited to see the outcome. I loved the last three creations that came out and will be following every other RCB. Thanks to Eurobricks and LDD for these sorts of things! Bye the way, I am already studying and designing ideas for Classic Space. My favourite set is: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6972-1 Polaris I Space Lab Is this set Classic enough? From MtL -
CustomMinifigs Wave 3 Review
MattTheLegoman replied to Omicron's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Has anyone made any good Narnian mocs with these customs. I would also like to see more minifig/mythological hybridisation bricks (Minotaur perhaps?). -
Elander: This is Universe Mode dreaming on LEGO Digital Designer, almost any brick you can imagine with almost any colour LEGO has produced. However thanks for the tips!!! I like your idea of having the moria goblins smaller, will update that tomorrow. (Its late where I am.) I agree with your idea for the Uruk-Hai and Orcs. Since this is just a design on LDD I will definitely make you a FireWorkDragon! That part of the movie was fun. Any more requests I will try to do, however it would draw time from my main project. By the way, I have already made the Nazgul - in transparent white and light green. P.S. Also:

Now to post up what I have finished so far, an update. The Council of Elrond Battle for Balin's Tomb See this image at Flickr. Thanks for the comments!

To Baylego: Sorry for the misinformation: it will be a series of sets designed by me, so they are My Own Creations. Then: Thanks Baylego, KielDaMan, prateek, and CommanderFox for your comments, much appreciated! Here is my new Flickr account with the photos Matt The Lego Man 's Flickr Photos Also: LDD isn't as good as real LEGO, however, I love LDD in that I have the ability to create and design whatever I can imagine. For Extra: Here is a snippet of a design I have of Gondolin: Gondolin, from The Book of Lost Tales

Awesome Turkey! And I like how you added the history to it as well, probably like Skalldyr I had no idea what Thanksgiving was all about (Well I knew it was about being thankful and giving and turkeys). I like that massive boat and the guy trying to fish for crabs in a suit, how do you do that?

Introducing a new licensed fantasy historic theme: LEGO Lord of the Rings. Inspired by Elander's comprehensive and lengthy list of Lord of the Rings sets at http://www.eurobrick...opic=38032&st=0 First we have the set Weathertop Besieged, it is completed enough for me, however, I am still unsure about the minifig statues (would be expensive?) and if there is anything else I have mistaken: - Weathertop (Large set) Ruins of Amon Sul, statues, camp fire, 3 Nazgul, Frodo, Strider with a torch. Detail of statues Detail of back side (But probably the front for the set box) (Apparently I only have a 100kb usage for this topic? So I have kept it under even with three pictures.) The set list I am using for The Fellowship of the Ring - A Long Expected Party (small) Bag End, Bilbo Baggins, Sackville-Baggins, rockets, and 2 party pavillions. - Weathertop (large) - Elronds house (small) Elrond, Awen(movie)?/Glorfindel(book)?, Legolas, table for ring, small Elvish building - Balin's Tomb (medium) Battle set, 3 goblins, cave troll, Gimli, Gandalf, and Frodo, Strider. - Battle of Amon Hen (medium) Battle set, Merry, Pippin, Boromir, 3 Uruk-Hai, 1 Lurtz (guy with crossbow in movie), and Amon Hen ruins (How to do that throne?). Minifigs and work done on other sets coming soon.

REVIEW: 7327 Scorpion Pyramid
MattTheLegoman replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The car must be right side steering because, like the Johnny Thunder before him, the new hero must be Australian! Drat just realised he is American, maybe the mechanic is an Aussie, or New Zealand? -
May I add that this list has inspired me to make my own. I am working on a list of 4 of the top sets: However, I will not be able to build to the ultimate quality of @Darth Hawken, it will be all on LDD. - A Long Expected Party [small set size] Bag End, Bilbo Baggins, Sackville-Baggins, rockets, 2* party pavillions Got a few things made - Weathertop [large set size, coz its my favourite, Amon Sul Ruins , awesome] Amon Sul ruins, statues camp fire, 3 Nazgul, Frodo, Strider with a torch. (Can 2 of the statues use minifigs? It would increase the population to 7.) Almost done - Elronds house [small set size] Elrond, Awen(movie)/Glorfindel(book), Legolas. Planning (no idea what to do) - Balin's Tomb [medium set size] A battle set mostly, a 3 goblins, cave troll, Gimli, Gandalf, and Frodo, Strider. Got a few things made - Battle of Amon Hen [medium set size] Another battle set, Merry, Pippin, Boromir, 3 Uruk-Hai, 1 Lurtz (guy with crossbow), and more ruins! Got a few things made I will probably make a topic next week in the digital forum to continue what I have her. Also, what is a normal colour cap for a set, like, how many different colours should can I use to make it a believable set. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance with your collection @Elander!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
MattTheLegoman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Would love to get some elves!!! But they would probably be all fingered gone by the time I get there. However, I would love to see some real LEGO sets with elves in it. LoTR fans missed out so much with the last Castle series. -
Hi I have this set! In real bricks! This is very similar to the MegaBloks set of 9206 - Trading Post, in their Western theme. I googled it and found some pictures at. http://bloks.hyperboards.com/index.php?action=view_topic&topic_id=2549 Regardless, your LEGO one is better than the MegaBloks, of which my set has melted slightly because of their quality. Hopefully you can convert all of Cactus Town for us! I enjoyed these sets when they were new.
