  1. Got a "Great offers coming soon" VIP email from TLG. For this Friday. Anyone knows what that means? Discounts? New sets? Free add-on?
  2. Agreed. I found one shot after image googling lego technic 42051 Airport Rescue Vehicle, and I agree, looks pretty dull, don't see any room for suspension or some clever axle action going on there. I do read 4 Wheel Steering but that alone won't cut it I'm afraid.
  3. Appreciate the hint. I do *need* a set for December *does some further digging into that heli* Actually... if that Lego Technic 42051 Airport Rescue Vehicle has some decent axles, diffs and suspension I might pick up a set too...Yep there goes the wallet.
  4. Thanks Jim for explaining. 2H flagship and UCS are definitely on my list. Heli and rescue vehicle won't probably make it to the shortlist unless they have some real cool mechanical features... I guess my wallet will be lucky (or I need to buy some more 2015 sets...).
  5. So did I read this thread correctly that the bigger Technic sets are for second half of 2016 only?
  6. Does anyone know when we can expect the first pictures / rumors of the 2011 Kingdoms line? And what will be included? I'm assuming they'll follow the classic 84 - 86 trend and release a larger castle / fortress for the Dragon Knights and some smaller structures for the Lion Knights. Most likely an increased civilian focus now that we've seen MMV. Then in 2012 - or 2nd half 2011? - a 3rd generation of Kingdoms with perhaps an even greater castle? Something massive on a raised baseplate perhaps? And somewhere along the line I'm sure we'll see the forestmen again. I'm confident this line is evolving well. As in the past we'll probably see a 3 years release cycle. The current sets are somewhat limited - badies tower being my favorite at this point because of the interesting "organic" design - but once more sets will be available I feel everything will be lifted to a whole new level. Something sum of the elements being bigger than yada yada yada. Very curious to see the 2011 line!
  7. The new Kingdoms line initially (not the battle packs but the higher quality regular boxes) and two new baseplates. But I tested with older minifigs and had the same issue. And using the Kingdoms minifigs on older baseplates did work very well. So the issue is narrowed down to the baseplates, and I wanted to know whether this was "the new design" for baseplates, or a faulty batch. Sounds like it's a production fault.
  8. Thanks. All minifigures fall off. They do stick on other plates. Moving the baseplate is sufficient to make 'em drop. Holding it upside down would be suicide :-).
  9. That's my problem too. Of course I can cover the baseplate with bricks and plates to make it more tight, but I actually bought the baseplates to put my "army" on. Somewhat disappointing that it's so lose. Again, I wonder whether that's a production error or done on purpose. Any final thoughts?
  10. I've just bought my first set of baseplates (two 32x32 green baseplates) ever since I left my Dark Ages. I was quite surprised to see that the minifigures don't stick well to the studs of these baseplates. I tried to attach both new minifigures and old minifigures to the plates but they don't stick, they feel all lose, and just trip over. All minifigures snap well onto any other (older) baseplates or other structures and stand firmly. Did something change overtime, am I overlooking something, or is this a bad production batch? The sticker read made in Austria - not sure whether that's relevant. Should I contact LEGO customer service? Looking forward to your advise.
