  1. Don´t take it like that. Svelte doesn´t like it, you obviously do. You shouldn´t bother what others think about your all time fav. set
  2. Is that teacher in my review with all the figs in it??
  3. As you may have noticed by now, there is a slight update to the "review". Thanks everyone for the nice comments. @ Matn: I should really copy/paste some of the text you wrote into my review, and it would have added what many people misses out of. Also if I was a more into HP than I am Legocrazy´s insight would have been good to add Just to determind what different parts in and off the castle means and are from. Thanks for adding that, now people can read your answers and get more enlightened.
  4. @ metalandi and some others: I will add the promissed picture tomorrow (as it turns out). I will also add some insight points to those who misses that.
  5. @ It All End Here: Sorry for not putting that in my review, but I seldom or never take the capes out and put them on the figs. Same goes with some of the stickers that is supposed to sit on the castle walls making it look like rocks. @ Mr Spiebrick: His eyes are black what I can tell and Dumbledores head has glases on one side, and without on the other side. His mouth is different on both sides as well. But you never really get to see it if you dont remove the beard, or use it for other purposes. Again thanks for the nice coments everybody. I really need to sign up for Reviewers Acadamy now.
  6. Congratulations BrickMiner!! When first reading your post telling us that you were so unsatisfied with your work and so on, I thought you didn´t get it. Glad that, that wasn´t the case since you worked hard to come this far. I see a bigger chanse of meeting you in real life now when you are in Billund, then somewere in the US The EB-Event in Billund will be in Windsor next year But in 2012 it will come back to the mothland of the bricks. Once again, congratulations! How many Eurobrickersdo work for LEGO these days? I know about 3 at least!
  7. I am not often getting ego, but this time I will make an exeption. Def? Def?? Thanks for liking the review. I wasn´t hundred percent satisfied with the review, but on the other hand, I haven´t reviewed so many sets either. I should probably sign up for that Reviewers Acadamy. Probably any day now If you have questions, just let me know and I will answer them.
  8. @ Prateek: It was up for less then ten seconds before set invisable, and you still managed to post a reply. Cudos my friend
  9. Yesterday I got my hands on the all new Harry Potter Castle. This was one set I really wasn´t gonna get. But when there is an oportunity for you to all of the sudden own it, I didn´t hesitate after all. To fuss up things a bit more, lets just say a guy gave me it from the back of his car... I am not a reviewers expert in any way, and Svelte kind of already made an exelent review of this set, I just wanted to fill in the blanks of this set, and I do hope someone finds the time to make a proper review one day. I should state once more, I am not a HP fan, and therefore I am not familiar with all the things and rooms in this set. I neither have a desire to look it up. If you don´t either know what different items or rooms is, you check it up With no further talk, lets get to it. Name: Hogwarts Castle Item No: 4842 Release date: 2010 21 of September Figures: 10 Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, Argus Filch, Filius Filtwick, Minerva McGonagall, Severus Snape, Voldemort and 2 x Dementors. Parts: Didn´t count Price: ?? Theme: Harry Potter Bricklink Previous castles: These came out in 2001, 2004 and 2007 so I guess it was about time there was a new one. The box. Front: Back: Minifigs: The set contains of 10 polybags, all numbered: The stickers: Funny thing with this set is that even if there are stickers in it, some parts are printed. We will come back to that later. Random pages out of the 3 instruction books: Inventory lists: The minifigs: The Dementors have two different printings on their heads as shown in this picture. Harry and Hermione backsides and Albus with no bear and hair. Albus head also has two faces and a printed backside of the torso. If a minifig isn´t shown in any picture from it´s back, it doesn´t have a printing there. Next picture is Mrs Norris (the cat) with printing, and Harrys invisibility cloak: The owls of this set is really nice: The build. Bag 1: This is the small parts of the wall that goes in between th bigger builds. Bag 2: On the box you can see that Harry is hiding in here. I have no idea why. Bag 3: Restricted area of the library. Bag 4: This is one of the printed tiles in this set. The night can spin around, and behind him is a... ...black book hidden. No books in this set have any printing (there are 3 brown books in the Restricted area as well). Bag 5: Here is where the owls are stored when they are not delivering letters. Bag 6 and 7: On to the great hall. Bag 8: There are some really nice parts in this part of the building. Bag 9: Another printed tile. Doesn´t "Powerfull" spells with one "L"? Bag 10: Dumbledors office. 3 of many reasons why Harry Potter nerds fans probably want this set. Spare parts: In its all glory. 1st picture is the castle unfolded. Folded as much as can get. Same folding but from the inside. And again unfolded. And with all the figs in it. Don´t mind Timo Räisänen singing there. That is an Easter egg to someone A picture to show the coloured glas above the door which I really like Just added this picture since I really think this hair looks so much better than the horrid original one. For the request I added a better picture of the cat (which I had no idea it had a name, but I got some help with that). It was a pretty good set to build, but once again since I am not a fan of this wizard I guess you who are will enjoy the set much more than I do. It has some awesome figs and animals in it. Some nice printed parts, but apart from that, this set will live a short life assambled in my LEGO world. If there is anything you want to see better pictures of, just let me know. Thanks for taking your time to look at this review. At last I just want to thank the guy that gave me the opportunity to be able to share this experiance with you. Once again, Thanks!
  10. A very nice MOC again Etzel! And as usual some very fun small details that cracks you up. Are you gonna build a MOC like this for every one of the collectible minifigs?
  11. Happy birthday Luxor (a little late as usual). Me too hope you had a great day!
  12. Happy Birthday Boney! Hope you had a great day and tht you didn´t had to work n your house or so, but actually could be free. Hope to see you in a close future, and if we do, Iwill have a beer with your name on it
  13. Have a great birthday! Hope you get something rattling packages, otherwise do as many with me, buy some to your self.

    HogWars

It is a really great idé to recreate figs like this Oky. Just wanted to reply, haven´t had time to read it through yet. Nore the Toy Wars one, but I will ;)
  15. HAHAHA! This starts to remind me of one of the most funny threads in the history of EB. I do know very well that England itself does not make the island. My point still is that if you live as far away from Windsor as possible or as close as possible in Wales, it only differ 270 km (don´t ask how I came up with that please). Anyway, my point is not to start another topic about location, but that I would like if you made it. You kind of promissed @ Teddy: Ohhh... attacking someones country always make you go full Dfenz! But it sure is very fun. Something that always is an ongoing game between the Eventees. No need to grump, just give back. You have some fellow Benelux-whatever-countrymen that knows what I am talking about Are you coming by the way?
  16. A nice review Jammie! Great to see that the HP sets is starting to show up now. Will be really great to see some of them close-up in some good EB reviews soon.
  17. I am really looking forward to 4.0 by now. Have a few things I would like to build in it and see how it comes out.
  18. Great review of the upcoming HP castle Svelte. It is just such a wierd idea to actually pre-build a set that soon will be released on the market. I love that idea. Nice to see all the features of this great model. Even better to actually see it live as well @AFOL12v: Read the first lines in the review again please:
  19. @ Morten: There is the friday where we can do things. I don´t want to reveal things here, but I did mentioning it at this years Event. Then in the park we can always talk to someone there for the Saturday. Has worked several times before. @ Peppermint: England is a frikkin island. And not even a big one, and best part of it is that you happend to live ON it. Make sure to be there! Me and CM flew into Heathrow last time and took a cab from there to where we stayed. Was all good and not to expensive at all.
  20. It is high time to start the next years Event already. Jan Beyer has asked again when and where we will have our next Event. I have a date in mind already, and it would be 2-5 June 2011. This basicly because the 2nd is a public holiday to many. Anyone have any other ideas, or we can decide that this date might be fine. Post whatever other ideas suggestions if you have any. I will need ideas before Friday, because then is when I will tell Mr. Jan. Oh, and next year we are going back to Windsor. The place where cars comes from all impossible directions, where the LEGO guard dogs was invented, and LEGOLAND was further away then we thought and we had an actual German guard dog (Doberman) as a neighbour.
  21. Congratulations to the winners! There was so many great designs in both category of this competition. Well performed and a big thanks to Superkalle who made the contest possible at all. For being the first of its kind, I must say it has been a success
  22. You will be loved by many if you do solve that I can guarantee that I will make sure to do as much as possible to spread it as well. Frontpage it here for instance, and also talk to Mirandir that runs Legobloggen. Good Luck!
  23. Thanks Sly for the updated barcodes! Will be useful today when I go back to the store to complete some figs to the collection.
  24. Thanks for this news! Oh my, sounds like it may be a very big set in that case. Will be interesting to see how they will manage all the angles in it. Plates, plates and some more plates??
  25. Hi Martin! Is it possible for you to also do this APP for iPhones? Would be VERY usefull for sure.
