I really want to learn more about reviews and Lego photography. My setlist is in my sig and a good camera is currently in the process of purchasing ;)

Today my latest order arrived: LEGO Space Police 5970 - Jagd auf Tentakel LEGO Space Police 5974 - Galaktisches Gefängnisraumschiff Both are cool sets and already built. The huge spaceship is very good. And it has a lot of cool parts. Though it does remind me of a spaceshuttle somehow.

I followed this thread for a while and I though I'd try to contribute to this thread with some quick shots of my Slave I that is currently built. :D I just thought about a background and I still have a huge poster with white background. I will try this. In any case, I will need a better camera for better photos.

though Exo-force heads are not very fitting for the rest of the collection (because of the eyes) and I currently have mostly Star Wars flesh heads, I guess Atlantis and Power Miners have to do... gonna look for some cheap sets to get.

Here are some pics of my storage. Not much at the moment. But my new sets force me to enhance my sorting since it is much too many parts and the storage I have now is nearly full :) So I guess I get me one other of those lower boxes at least for now. This should do for a while I hope. Some of the compartments in the upper sorting box have 1 or 2 separators. And the lower box has a upper and lower compartment. The upper compartments are smaller and the lower compartments are bigger for the big parts.

Not exactly what I meant. I meant to search for sets that are particularly interesting to me and then look up if there are double sided heads. But I could do that reverse. Look at the list of heads and then look up if they appear in sets that are interesting.

Thank you for all the replies. And I didn't mean the two-face head. I meant something like happy and angry face on one head. So most replies do fit. I guess I have to look up sets first and then look into the list. Though I could order the heads single without anything else. But these are good hints.

Well done. But if the goggles would sit a bit lower, they would look more authentic. Else, great mod!

Since I am currently aquiring a lot of sets, I am looking for some special minifigs. Mostly I am interested in the heads. I have some sets now with double-sided heads. I already know, that the exo-force guys have 2 sides, space police mostly, too and some power miners. Which other sets or more likely themes do provide double sided heads?

Again, thanks for the review. Like the hyper-speed pursuit, I got this set lately for a bargain. I was a bit anxious at first, but now I really like it. Though it has a lot of stickers again, there are a lot of new pieces for my collection and the set itself looks pretty cool. As of now, I am happy that I have it. I like the Minifigs especially.

Thanks for the review. I just got this set yesterday and had it built immediately. Construction is good so far. Just the load of stickers is annoying a bit. Though I am very happy with it. The set provided me with a good bunch of new parts I didn't have before, a lot of transparent color pieces. I especially love the boosters on the police ship. I was waiting long to get thos round pieces that hold the small boosters.

Today the rest of my last order arrived. Some pretty sets for some very good prices: Exo-Force 8106 - Aero Booster Space Police 5973 - HyperSpeed Pursuit Space Police 5972 - Space Truck Getaway Good new parts for my collection! There are quite some parts in the sets, that I didn't have before or which I hadn't enough yet :D And they were a real bargain, as I got them for like 50% off.

I saw that one too before. And the attachment of the wings is pretty perfect.

I won't decide what I will go and get. Because I haven't seen any pics yet. If the sets are all bad ... I will probably have to look at the contents of parts and figures only.

Since I am back from my dark ages and currently aquiring set after set, I am in need of some sorting. I cannot keep the sets all assembled at the same time because I have not a lot of space. And I cannot make some huge sorting thing, because I am lacking space for that either. So sorting is only needed for my new sets, which will be the base for my future MOCing. My old Lego from when I was a kid is stored in some boxes in the attic and some sets (like all the space stuff and pirates) is still assembled in my old room. So, until I find a new flat for myself, the old stuff stays where it is. Currently I have a box with small drawers which holds all kinds of small and special parts and all my Minifigs. And I have a sorting case (which I originally bought for my Mindstorms set), which holds bigger parts, plates and bigger wedge and slope parts. But I still have a few sets that need disassembling and the space is already pretty filled. So I need some new sorting box, which I am searching right now. In our hardware stores, nothing suitable is available, so I have to search further. My Technic, which I got out first before buying new sets, is sorted in a old drawer box which I already have for approximately 15-20 years. This was available from Lego back then. It holds all my Technic (except the Mindstorms kit) and some additions from regular Lego which I needed regularly for my creations. I will post pics of my current sorting later when I am back at home.

Thank you for the review. This is indeed a great set. Since I am back to Lego, I am currently aquainting some sets (for new pieces and so on). And since it was my birthday last week and the Slave I got available here in Germany, I ordered it for me. I must say, that for the piece count, the set is pretty pricy. But, I wanted something special. So this is my first Slave I. I got it last friday and since I had time, I immediately built it. The build itself goes pretty smooth. Though, you should use a hard surface for it. I build on my bed, since I have not much space at the moment. That said, in the early build stages I had some smaller problems with the build falling apart sometimes. But as you add pieces, the whole thing gets more sturdy and stable. In the end, you have a very nice ship, which is also very swooshable. It's funny to fly it around the room, trying to make the engine noise of the Slave I. The figures are great. Though I had 2 Hans before, but no Boba or Bossk (and directly the cool new version). So these are a great addition. And the carbonite piece is brilliant, much better than from the old sets. I really like the coloring, though it is not very accurate. The only downturn I found for me, is, that the upper beam of the wings is not connected on the ship's side. This could be improved. Perhaps I'll do some modding there. This was solved better in 6209. There the coloring was more accurate, too. If I make the mod according to the example of 6209, then the wings would get more sturdy, too. Currently, they are a bit wobbly. In any case I had a lot of fun with the build. The design is pretty good and I like it a lot. I knew, that this ship woul be big, but I didn't think that it would be that big. And there are a lot of parts, that I didn't have before. So it is a great addition to my current collection. So what to get next? Perhaps the AT-AT, because I am lacking one of those, too. But, that's even more expensive ;) edit: I forgot to mention, that I kinda like the rapid fire mechanism for the ff-missiles. But, they could have made it more stable and sturdy, too. So there some modding will be necessary, too.

My Slave I is here! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I ordered 8097 - Slave I since it is now available on Amazon here (and as late birthday present for myself). Can't wait to get it. Hopefully it comes tomorrow. Then I can build it in the evening. Else I have to wait until monday and my boss won't be happy that the delivery guy rings on saturday.

I currently have a HTC Desire and I love it.

My last buys were Darth Vader's Tie Advanced and Echo Base. Last week that is. But next week there is my birthday. And I have no clue about what to get for myself. Currently I am struggling between the new AT-AT and the new Slave 1. Or something completely different? I am totally clueless right now...
