  1. And do it in a way that's clearly intended to be funny, but isn't, à la Jar Jar Binks.
  2. That is an awesome werewolf avatar.
  3. The trailer was okay; it looks like we're in for another season focused on Jedi, Sith, Mandalorians, and seemingly randomly selected planets. I did think that the use of the Imperial March so prominently was a little too much. Even Sith doesn't play that score so clearly, if I remember correctly. (though the end of Clones might approach the level at which it was played in the trailer) I know CW producers are trying to use it to hint towards the darker plots of the show, but it needed to be more subtle and less like the revealing of the Executor or the arrival on the Second Death Star. I'm hoping that that was just a one-time use like that in the trailer, and that the piece doesn't get used like that throughout the show. That article did mention public protest agains the Jedi. I don't know about you, but I finished reading Fate of the Jedi not too long ago, and I have had enough of that plot. Also, at first I was indifferent to the proposition of a story arc focused on astromechs, but then the camera panned and revealed...a pit droid. On a mission to infiltrate a Separatist cruiser. A pit droid.
  4. All the heroes I can see look busy, but I hope that some of them will glance at the announcements before they do any shopping. Approaching the quest board, I pin a piece of parchment nearby: Selling: Deadly Venom - Use on a weapon to make it cause the Badly Poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A Badly Poisoned enemy loses 10 Health each turn. 40 Gold (you save 10 Gold compared to Portia's price) Venom - Use on a weapon to make it cause a Poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A Poisoned enemy loses 1 Health each turn. 3 Gold (you save 2 Gold compared to Portia's price) Grand Tonic - Restores 15 Ether to the target. 20 Gold (you save 10 Gold compared to Portia's price) Soma - Causes the Blessed-effect, allowing the target to recover 3 Health at the end of each round for the duration of one battle. 35 Gold (you save 10 Gold compared to Portia's price)
  5. Oh, I didn't know that. With that number of actions, you don't need to face anything special; the battles are going to take a long time as-is.
  6. It's the Stomtrooper effect. Very common in Star Wars.
  7. That was one of the reasons that the sword started with such a low WP. The fear was that it'd fall into the hands of someone like Hybros, and then it would be a simple case of "Assassination+AoE Shield+Nostrums+Sword of Ancestral Hatred = MegaBlokin'-high WP"
  8. But Atramor can deal Badly Poisoned; you can't without Deadly Venom. Also, we'll probably need his badass lock-picking skills.
  9. Hmm...Cronk (healer, tank), Hybros (instant-killer), Arthur (scroll support), Atramor (poisoner), Tesni (offense), and Docken (ranged tank)... (and the Unlimited Quest allows parties of up to six heroes, I believe)
  10. I agree. Let's remember that we're not supposed to be seeing the retailers' catalog, so let's not pressure anyone to take pictures of it for us. I've also updated the first post's Source sections for each sets with links to the Bounty's post on Rebelscum that contains the reported list from Celebration VI.
  11. Interesting. I would think that the Blacksmith Shop and the Mill Village Raid wouldn't fit in with the building style of the two D2C sets. I've always viewed the Mill Village Raid as something of a kiddie version of the MMV, with a less parts-intensive design, more <insert that tiresome argument> pieces, and more focus on play features. It does feel chopped-off. I do think that it would have been an even better set had the towers had a back that folded open just like the MMV buildings and if the walkway looked the same on both sides, but the set is already $120, and I think it was a better decision to keep it at this price and allow the possibility of combining two sets for those who want to spend more money for a better looking set. I'm not sure how good that will look if it's made larger. It's about the perfect size compared to the segment of wall right now. Some stairs on the side might be a good mod, but I think you'll have to make the wall segments thicker, longer, and perhaps taller if you want to make the building bigger.
  12. I see that, forty-six quests later, those Direwolves are still as annoying as ever.
  13. Not another Jedi Starfighter...
  14. The wave they announced is for January of 2013, the winter wave.
  15. Fellows can't give titles. ISC visited your profile recently, though.
  16. Still a little groggy after awaking from a month in a dream brought upon me by a mysterious powder, I enter the Hall. I have trades to negotiate and purchases to make, but, scanning the crowd of heroes present, I realize that Thormanil, whom I knew from my journey to Salmanda, is out on a quest. U'Or and Daneeka claimed to have fed me while I was in the dream, but my stomach feels empty and my mouth dry. Picking up a cup of tea and some roasted meat, I settle down at a table to wait.
  17. It's the name of the sub-menu. Filter > Render > Clouds.
  18. Wow, I managed to pick three of the four harder enemies for my choice of enemies in the Arena. In Photoshop, just render black and white clouds in a new layer and change the blending style of the layer to Screen. Repeat with more layers until the mist/fog is thick enough, and use layer masks to reveal whatever you want to be seen clearly. I'm not sure how it's done in GIMP or Paint.NET.
  19. I agree, I really liked this quest, Zeph. There was a good amount of railroading, but I think that might have been necessary because of the storyline; we knew nothing of what Guffington had done in his life or might try to do in his dream, so I don't think we'd have known where to start if we weren't whisked from one encounter to another. Also, Hybros and Guts were awesome in battle.
  20. Ah...Mythril. I grasp the shimmering shard. Not as impressive as the piece that resides in my shield, but nevertheless, a beautiful material. I stow it in my bottomless Bag of Holding and turn back to the three in front of me. "Thank you, Master Guffington, Doctor Daneeka, Master U'Ordiussum." As I leave the manor, I speak to Hybros and Guts. "It was a pleasure questing with heroes as skilled and as powerful as you, Master Holla, Master Hybros."
  21. This is somewhat redundant for a post being somewhat redundant. Bob is just an U'Kin who is named Bob.
  22. For RA Teachers, Fellows, and staff, yes. I'm not sure if any of the other groups have it, but I know Grand Duke by itself (without any other secondary groups) doesn't.
  23. It's a variant of this piece, but with a bar attached to one end. I'm not sure if it's a new piece; I can't find it on BL.
  24. I speak with Diplomacy. "Master Guffington, I don't know what your goal was here, and I don't know what you've done differently from what you did in the real world, but, as you seem to realize, it's all a dream, brought upon you by a mysterious dust contained in a box that Lord Hughes sent you. When we first met you here, you wanted to be someone great, and you set out to see the world. You did that, and, as our purses and Master Holla's weapons prove, you made good investments. But when we last met you, you were in a panic. "I don't know what went wrong or why you panicked, but realize this: you don't need to be great in a dream, for you are already great in the real world. Indeed, as we first traveled to your manor when our quest began, everyone we met knew who you were - the Great Guffington."
  25. I accept the Gold. "Thank you, Master Holla. "Perhaps this is how he wished to have lived his life, having seen and experienced so much more of the world at a significantly younger age, but perhaps he's overstretched himself. In any case, I agree, now seems like a good time to make Master Guffington aware of his true state... wherever he is..."
