  1. Kiray goes after Paladin Infantry 1 from the front. "Oh this is easier than I thought."
  2. If it was mail you were reading, than that would be illegal.
  3. Kinda? It seems more ominous, I'll say Paranoid. This a clue for us?
  4. There's more to life than tussling. Like cutting down trees and planting new ones. Keeps the world going, if you ask me.
  5. Of course our civic duty will take longer than it should, but here we are. Do we get our own typist for this?
  6. Get a real job, like logging!
  7. Kiray upturns the stool, putting the legs of it out towards the enemies. "Want to hear an interesting question?" she asks. "How to you stop a corrupted group of Town Watch from destroying Eubric? You sit them down with the legs of a stool through their guts." She attacks Paladin's Infantry from the front. She then notices Atramor and all the gold he was taking. She had talked with him a few times, but never been with him on a quest. He was one of the most famous members of Heroica she had heard of. "Hey, Gibbin! Quit taking the gold and do some fighting!" she called out, with a laugh.
  8. Now that's asking too much! You can take away our Nornalis, you can take away the houses, but you'll never take our FREEDOM to read other quests and pretend to RP and not be affected by OOC knowledge
  9. Alan here! Let's get this trial over with. Some of us have jobs and families to feed, but glad to do my civic duty!
  10. On a side note, I've never seen that kind of map used anywhere in the States.
  11. "Works for me," Kiray replied, considering using a stool as a weapon, or looking around if it doesn't work.
  12. "I can withstand a few hits," Kiray says, pulling up her shield, "but it'll be a challenge. Shall we take turns being punching bags?" Kiray takes a position in the back, raising her shield and doing nothing.
  13. Yay, more mafia! 1) Yes, and I even co-hosted the most recent game with DarkDragon. 2) I will certainly be available, unless I get jury duty. 3) I'd say around a 6. You can put that for the record, whoever is typing this court case.
  14. A little peer pressure never hurt a member of Heroica .
  15. "I'm with Jacq and Kukulkan," Kiray says, moving to stand inbetween the guard and the Wolf Gang, even without her weapons. "You can get out of here, if you know what's good for you." She then turns to the bouncer. "Mind giving me back my things?"
  16. Quest #158 Wow, the whole Tridentia arc is over. That's weird to thinka bout for me, as those quests have been going since I got back into Heroica after thoat weird mini-dark age (which really wasn't one, I was still buying and checking EB constantly, just couldn't get into Heroica). This one had been a long time coming, and I'm glad I was able to end it how it did, with the players and characters that it did. Of course, Vindsval beasically had a guaranteed spot for this quest, as he had been on all of them but one (and I believe he even was in Wine and Die-ne). Regarding the set-up of this quest, the previous Tridentia one was essential to decide if it would be in Tridentia or not. If the previous quest failed, Calder Den would have invaded Tridentia himself to put down everyone, and the Heroes would have to liberate the island. Clearly that didn't happen, so the Tridentians took matters into their own hands and decided to go after Calder. One of the things I noticed once the quest was underway, was that people didn't seem to agree with William's idea to go after the Dens. That became one of the more challenging things to justify, but I think it turned out somewhat ok. The writing for allusions like Wilfred and Guy/Pal/Buddy were organic and unplanned. Mainly it was me trying to make the quest lighthearted after what seemed to be the doom and gloom of fighting a guy who had been terrorizing a town for who knows how long. The turning of Jeremiah was always an option, but honestly I never expected it to happen, but it kept a running theme of the Dens: Calder Den II (From CMG) was pushed out by Calder Den. Then Jeremiah continued the change of the Den family. Calder Den, I was always going to be a fight (one that I thought would be harder actually). The fight actually would have been more challenging if the Heroes had used Rex for a bomb strike, as that would have forced the enemies to pull back to Den and defend him, making the people the Heroes fought in earlier battles be there rather than the fights that occurred. There also would have been a final fight in the inn if the bombing had happened, as the town guards would have noticed. If that was to happen, the Heroes would either fight the guards, or if Jeremiah was still with them/not dead, he would tell the guards to stand down. Regarding the fights, this was the most challenging for me. As I've said, math has never been my strong suit, and there's been multiple discussions on here on how to make battles not be as challenging for QMs yet still be interesting for players. I don't have a good answer for that, I'm not sure if any of us do even after all these years aside from making battles harder and dropping loot that isawesome, which continues that cycle. For pictures, this was another one where I had to take pictures before moving. I also had a lot of things going on at this time, from finding a job, to the mafia game, to getting involved with BoBS, and I think this quest suffered for that, and I'm sorry it happened like that. That being said, I am happy with how the quest went, and I'm honored to have the last quest before the finale, even if it is just by luck. Party Vindsval- It was great to have you back for the final quest, seeing how you and Luke grew over these quests has been one of my favorite parts of Heroica that I've been involved with. You definitely took the leadership role and I'm going to miss Vindsval after #159 ends. Petaldan- So young, so great. Man that loot you came in with is great. This is more on me, but I wished Luke and PEtaldan interacted more. That would have been fun to see. Great work again on Petaldan. Addok-Zo- You found a acharacter you like! Unfortunately there's only #159 after this. I wish you could have kept to a character longer, but I liked Addok, even if he was a little quiet throughout the quest. Ezeran- Partly why I picked you was to have a "good" sorcerer. The symbiont was something I had forgotten about when I picked you, and I'm glad it was such a consistent part for this quest. Matthias- First, thank you for catching my mathematical mistakes. Second, thank you for being so involved with this quest. I really liked Matthias, and I wish I could have had him on quests earlier, or had Kiray quest with him. He became the de facto second in command, and if this game continued, I would love to see him take on a true leadership role. Thank you again to everyone who participated and read, not just this quest, but Heroica as well.
  17. "I'll agree with that," Kirat says with a wolfish grin. "It's what we're best at." She lgoes to Kululkan, "I know it's not ideal, but would that be possible, using our Wolf Gang allies as a distraction?"
  18. "I agree, having some muscle from the older members would be helpful, although hearing tales of the most powerful Heroes crushing whoever approached them would be one for the ages." "They're not all muscle," Kiray mutters, thinking about Diana. How could Monk Pretzel be acting like this to the Wolf Gang, the group he joined. Still, he did have a point about keeping the groups small. "What if we used the Wolf Gang as a distraction? Get them to muster most of their forces to keep the Watch and everyone else busy while we go about our business?"
  19. "Come on, let's get those in here before more foul weather comes in!" Emile called out before turning back to feed the horse. He'd been around very few horses, due to his time at sea, so seeing some on Terra Versa was a welcome familiarity. "Oof!" one of the Oleander men groaned as he pulled off one of the barrels. "There's only a few more wagons left," the shirtless man told Emile, his accent thick and difficult to understand. "Then everything should be safely in the warehouse here in King's Port." "What a stroke of could fortune we found your ships," Emile replied. "For that, we thank you," the Terra Versan responded with a bow of the head. After most of the goods had been stowed, the man pulled Emile aside into the warehouse. "You've no idea how glad I am to see you," he said, his thick accent mysteriosuly changed to one more of Mardier. "I thought your accent was somewhat comical," Emile replied, going to shake the man's hand. "What shall I call you?" "It's too dangerous to give my name as of now," the Marderian loyalist. "For now, call me Solomon." "Well, 'Solomon,'" Emile said, "I'm glad we've been able to make contact. There's a few others on this parchment I need to meet. A huntress? Isn't she a religious figure" "Ah, she is certainly real," he returned, a smile growing on his face. "She is difficult to track down, but we'll find her. Just be patient."
  20. For sure. There's been who knows how many dozens of heroes, some around for one quest, some never doing any, and some going on tons. I'll mention Heroica to CJP sometimes, and even though he won't come back, he'll get a smile at joke about his characters or a reference to Sinbad. I certainly don't have a problem with a QM PC getting involved. They definitely deserve to be here.
  21. "Well, I for one think we should be working with the Wolf Gang," Kiray says right before chugging the mead she recieved. She then shows eeveryone her Wolf Gang seal. "Doesn't seem to matter much now me hiding my allegiance. "Something rotten is afoot, and it's not the Wolf Gang." "I would like to go with the group heading for Ulfric as well," Kiray adds. She then looks to Kululkan and asks, "Are you able to send other Wolf Gang troops with the Heroes going to the Dragon House or the temple? Do you have nay other contacts we could meet there?"
  22. I'd love to participate in a game again!
  23. Kiray thinks for a moment. "Fine." She then lowers her voice a tad, "Some Heroes aligned themselves with the houses, some went with the Wolf Gang. I clearly went for the latter. After the Hall was closed, I came here. The Wolf King... well, things have been pretty quiet for sometime. I think he's laying low. That's all I feel comfortable saying. How's this 45 gold now for the mead and nostrum?"
