Heroica RPG - Quest #146: Red is the Bloodiest Color

"It's still cursed?" William shakes his head and sighs. "That forest has given us more problems than I wish to go into." "He told me to start organizing the town into groups. One group goes and collects as much wood as they can to erect the defenses. The second group is to organize ore for weapons. We have a third that is the actual building crew. They're digging the holes and defenses." He looks to Traci and Jackson. "You two are welcome to pull whoever you need from the work groups or crews for your trainees." "You're welcome to wheerever, Heroes. Although, If you could talk to some of our villagers with Traci and Jackson and convince them to join the militia, I would be very gracious." "Oh you did set up all the posters? Oh thank you. Here's your reward, 20 gold coins for each." Luke goes and follows Calamity to the docks. QM Note: Calamity, be expecting a PM very soon for your side quest. -
Repeat action, repeat order.

"I actually do," she replies to Miderun. She instead attacks with her Sword of Fire and Light (WP: 7, Fire-Light Elemental, Greatsword).
-
"This is exactly why I said go for the barghests..." Kiray murmurs. She repeats. Same order.
-
Kiray draws her sword. The barghests were interesting; she had heard about them in stories but never seen one up close. "You three should target the barghests. I'll take the dire wolves since I have the most defense." She attacks Dire Wolf 1 from the front. Battle Order: Miderun Kiray Germ Na'im
-
Kiray wipes her blade on her pant legs. "I say we go to Zone 2, Sheep Meadow and continue with Debuffed." She begins to distribute the loot and says, "We should clear out the easy ones first, then move up towards the sanctuary to rest if needed. Loot: Kiray- 10 gold, venom Miderun- 10 gold, venom, fire bomb Germ- 10 gold, venom, remedy Na'im- 10 gold, remedy

Kiray charges back from her hiding spot and repeats. Same battle order.

Slowly, the Heroes and their trainees meander back to the town square to find William and Lacy waiting for them. Many citizens were milling about, moving wood, organizing iron pieces. The town was positively busy. "So how'd it go, Heroes?" the mayor asks. "Rex and the captain came by a few hours ago and told me what to do, but I'd like to here it from you. Rex is down by the docks inspecting the area and seeing the best place for cannoneers to be placed." "No nicks or scratches, that's a good thing," Lacy says as she looks over her adopted son. Luke tries to brush Lacy off of him. -
Same order. Kiray grins as she switches her target. She attacks the Battle Ant 2 from the front.
-
Kiray attacks Battle Ant 1 from the front. "Nice work, everyone." Repeat order.
-
"Now that sounds exciting," Kiray says. She shouts out the new battle order. Battle Order: Miderun Kiray Germ Na'im
-
Kiray attacks the Rat King from the front. "May as well just take them out down the line." Battle Order: Kiray Miderun Germ Na'im
-
"Debuffed is is then at the Windmill. Let us head off."

<Hey there, my little animal friends. Would you mind if my companion here put up a poster or two?> <Finally! Someone who actually has manners around here. They just kept placing those things up without asking.> <Did they not try to talk?> <They did, they just didn't have the ability. But, since you asked nicely, place them up.> Jackson then places the two posters. The inventory now looks like: Lacy's Information Posters (0), quest item Locations to place: Mary Lancaster's Bakery (1) - Completed Pillars at Dock (2) - Completed Animal Pens (2) - Completed Old Man Kendall's Back (1) - Completed Shrine of Ennoc (1) - Completed "If that's all of them, let's head back to Lacy and the Mayor." -
"I say we go to 1, the Derelict Mill," Kiray announces. "Anyone want to try a challenge?"
-
My gold should be 556, I just updated it in my stats. "I'll lead our party." Kiray steps forward. "Who's ready?"
-
*cough*Wolfgang and Shadeaux quest*cough*
-
"You retired," she asked incredulously. "It's good to see you back in the Hall at least. When did you become a Dragoon? Is it exciting? Did you pick your dragon up in Dastan? Sorry for all the quesions. Dragons fascinate me. As scary as they can be every now and then."
-
You missed Nerwen.
-
So it shall be.
-
A Diana-Kiray-Annie quest would be awesome.
-
"Arthur?" Kiray says, as the voice and face finally click for her as well. "That was what, how many years ago? Wait, Boomingham was on that with us! I just reintroduced myself to him! I think I've done well here so far. How have you been? I see you've added a new companion." She waves at the dragon.
-
"Nerwen!" Kiray shouts as she sees the minstrel. "It's been a while. You're joining our party for the fields? great. By the way, here is the 150 gold I still owed you for the katana."
-
I know we have had a similar problem before when some questees went AWOL and never returned and had borrowed gear. I know it happened in one of my quests and no doubt it has happened at least two or three other times.

"So you guys didn't put any money or food?" Traci moves around to the back of the shrine. "That would have been the easiest way, but since you guys are here to help us, I'll show you an easier way." She reaches behind the shrine. "There's a... hang on let me find it... a button... somewhe-Got it!" Traci presses something and the entire shrine shudders. "That should do it." Traci takes one of the posters and places it on the wall. It sticks. "The shrine only accepts donations of food or money," the paladin continues. "We had a bird problem a few weeks ago so I put a spell on the shrine to accept only those things in the immediate area. 5 gold or two items of food would have sufficed and pleased the shrine to let you do whatever you need. Or you could have just pressed the button behind that activates and deactivates the spell."
