Thanks for that link. How could I have missed that last year? :-$

Sorry - wrong. ;-) Wrong again. :-D Here are closeups of the evil king and queen: The king seems to have a red right eye (some kind of conjunctivitis I think X-D ). Hard to identify more of that face. But I´d say this is a silver beard. Cool. The queen is obviously different. If anybody wants more closeups let me know. New heads ON!

Over at 1000steine.de I found a topic abut this amazing collection: *click will take you there* OK, the sets are all mid 70's - mid 80's, but this is so gigantic that I wanted to share it. *wub* Over in the topic someone told that the proud owner is going to sell at least parts of that collection. So start saving money - there are some really rare sets. Spending way too much money for Lego ON! :-)

It´s me again! X-D In my huge collection of 2x4 bricks (part No. 3001) I´m still missing the following colors: - light orange - sand red - violett - trans yellow - chrome silver - metallic green - metallic silver (at least according to the 'official' BL-list) If one of the eventees has 3001 in one of the colors laying around :-D , I would be very (!) grateful to get them. :'-) Of course this will not go unrewarded! ;-) Search for unusual colors ON!

I prefer the 2nd prototype over the first. :-) BUT... I think you made a big design mistake. I would suggest you either use or Try to avoid both types in one design. Or at least be very careful using both. It normally doesn´t look good if you mix them without looking at the hull it creates. Your Monorail has got a clear "line" where you used the slopes but has got an interruption when you used the curved slope on top of it. Also the curved slopes put on the front's underside don´t seem to fit to the wing plates used on top. I hope you get the point. I prefer smooth edges by the way. ;-) Here´s a nice comparison of both types of monorails (red - sharp edges / white - smooth edges): The white engine uses both parts mentioned above, but if you look from the side the 'line' is a clear parabola. (click on image to go to ratz'-folder) Monorail ON! *y*

Hey - this is fun! *sweet* I´ll occupy the 196'ers brick size.

A great folder to begin with! I saw his creations for the first time just some days ago when he was presenting his gay parade in front of the CC and instantly placed a bookmark. *wub* Just a hint: Whenever a folder is shown here, it´s almost every time of value to have a look at the upper folders of the creator as well. Btw.: We had a similar 'best BS folder'-topic about that here. ;-)

An easy way to find out what colors are used in a certain set is to browse to www.peeron.com. In your case you type "4489" in the search field and - voilá - get the answer. :-) An even easier way is to follow this link. ;-) The answer to your question is OldGray by the way.

Just be careful, the brick you are looking for is # 3066 and not the regular 1x4 brick #3010 See the difference?
