  1. Has anyone else noticed how the new IDW designs in 'Infiltration' (at least in the legs) look kinda like a halfway stage between the classic G1 designs and the new movie designs?
  2. True. And then to top it all off, I get to talk about it all again with my friend at school on Monday. Less than 24 hours to go ;-) .
  3. :-D Cool. It certainly made me laugh.
  4. I'd rather have the Jag in black, so compared to the red Jag (which wasn't bad) the Vantage was better. Yeah, are we sure Hammond can't see into the future? ;-) I think this weekend they go golfing. I can almost guess what'll happen!
  5. Yeah I saw it. What gets me is how he'd have been fine had he not been for that third run. Its on at 7:00 on Weds, just to elaborate on your statement. Did you see them doing the roadworks :-D :-D . As usual they made a complete pigs ear of it. But the Jaguar XKR *wub*. And the Aston Martin Vantage *wub* *wub* .
  6. The pictures in the instructions and on the box don't always match. For a fuller description, see my posts here
  7. And what with MB being much cheaper, parents are more likely to buy it for their kids, and the kids are more likely to buy it. That's 2 demographics already singled out. As for Lego's prices... I try not to think about it.
  8. You're welcome. Congratulate your friends too. None of my friends got the letter (i'm special ;-) ). I had to take the letter back to school as well.
  9. It doesn't really bother me either. It happened with the Cyclone Defender as well (on a smaller scale). The instructions show foot stickers, the set includes foot stickers, the box art doesn't. And I actually had 6 (not 4) stickers left at the end of the Crab Crusher build, with a potential 7 if the instructions had been followed completely. I missed 2 at the bottom of the sheet.
  10. I bought this the other day. Great set, but the instructions and the box art don't always correspond completely.
  11. Mon Calamari. The one in the big chair (dressed in white) is Admiral Ackbar.
  12. I like the Acklay. Not sure on the Swamp Speeder though, it looks a bit big.
  13. Wow, this wasn't half bad. I don't actually mind the music. It's not the sort of music i'd really listen too, but for this it wasn't bad. Carapar reminded me of The Rhino (Marvel Comics).
  14. My friend showed me this today, so i've just searched for it myself: :-D
  15. Oh. Are you going to apply? I think you've pretty much been accepted already, since you've got the letter. I think. On a side note, I went for a college interview today. I've been offered a conditional place, as in I get the place as long as I get 5 or more GCSEs at Grade C or above. Shouldn't be too difficult ;-) .
  16. The feet on the proto blue mecha remind me a bit of a rabbit. It looks a bit flimsy as well. Considering it's an impenetrable fortress.
  17. Freaks!? I prefer geeks. ;-)
  18. You know what they say: Save the best till last.
  19. I know its not technically today, but yesterday I went to Skipton and bought from Toymaster/-world (it keeps changing): 4917 Mini Robots 4918 Mini Flyers 8100 Cyclone Defender 8101 Claw Crusher 7774 Crab Crusher What amazed me about Crab Crusher (it's a great set, btw) is how the box art and the instructions don't necessarily correspond all the time. For example, I was left with 4 stickers. Bear in mind that these couldn't be found on either the box or the instructions. But if i'd followed the instructions, I'd have been left with 5. The box showed the two silver teeth at the front of the crab. The instructions show the silver teeth at the back of the crab (I prefer this). The box and instructions each show the two tubes/pipes at the back of the bub connected in different places, and the trigger piece is different on the box. *wacko* Anyhow, like I said, great set.
  20. Congratulations to you too. We can be nerdy together ;-) ! Might I ask where you live? Perhaps we could go to some of the events.
  21. Yeah, I forgot to mention those. Being on a different page, I missed them when I went back through posting the list.
  22. Happy Birthday! Have a good day. Even though its almost over. :-)
  23. I do have the catalogue, but any exclusive sets should be listed shouldn't they? I had noticed the lack of the Sunken Galleon though yes.
  24. For some reason, my Argos decided to bring the new catalogue out today instead of tomorrow. Never mind though. As far as Lego is concerned, there's not much to report: the four
  25. The odd thing is, Lego has called this the Tiny Turbo 3 Collection, despite the fact that this is actually the fourth series of Tiny Turbos. Presumably, this is the third series to be sold as a multipack. Who knows...
