I have ordered a test piece. Unfortunately I had made a mistake with the first version, which I have corrected yesterday. So it may need another test trial. The one I will get during the next week has wrong dimensions. But maybe it's enough to have a phote since the new one is only resized to the same dimensions as the original LEGO rifle. Here's the design Pic Woody64

The 20 pieces pack results in a price of $0,70 per piece. http://www.shapeways.com/model/96190/20_x_baker.html Woody64

There's a new trial for an improved baker: http://www.shapeways.com/model/95914/baker_v41.html also available as pack. But first I need an test order ... Woody64

I've uploaded a gun and a swivel gun pack: http://www.shapeways.com/model/96189/5_x_swivel_gun.html http://www.shapeways.com/model/91096/6_x_guns.html additionally there's a new material called aluminide which is white and flexible with aluminium dusk in it. It's grey with metallic. I will test that soon, because that maybe is an additional colour for helmets or other metal parts. Woody64

I'm wondering about soldier helmets...
woody64 replied to bub166's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Here are some of my military helmets: (Brodie, Adrian, German) You can find some others on (Pickel, M1 Pot, ...) http://www.shapeways.com/shops/MinifigCust...WI%20and%20WWII Woody64 -
Here's a more professional photo of the brodie helmet: There's also a new material available at shapeways: Aluminide. That's white&flexible with aluminium dusk inside. that may be an interesting option for my helmets. The result should be a little bit smoother and some kind of metallic look. Let's see. Woody64

The colour on the picture is the delivered color Limestone. It can be easily painted with acrylic colours Woody64

Order was issued. Unfortunately the price was beyond the minimal order value of $25 therefore I had to add another piece: http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=79853&mode=3d Woody64

I've uploaded the 15th mold test piece. I will order this by the end of the week and do the corrections based on the first prints. http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=79768&mode=3d Afterwards all items will be available in all W&F colors (Black, Limestone, Terracotta). If there's the wish for a 10 pack then you will get it. To be honest I expect another test run since the guns were the very first design and it would be a miracle if everything will be ok (dimensions, size of the plug/should fit into the original lego one) ... Take a look at the material definition (PA 2200): http://www.shapeways.com/materials/white_strong_flexible Here's a picture comparing the materials: http://www.flickr.com/photos/34336019@N07/...935543/sizes/l/ And here is a picture of black colored PA2200 elements: http://www.flickr.com/photos/34336019@N07/...725094/sizes/l/ There's also real ABS available but the minimal wall sizes of 1mm are bigger then many walls of my parts. And now the plume piece ... http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=77810&mode=3d hope to be ready with these pieces I'm most interested in by the end of the next week, so that I can order the testitems and provide some pictures. Woody64

Since the periwig seems to be requested by a lot of persons I did some corrections on my periwig design and hope it's oncemore printable ... http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=76095&mode=3d Woody64

It's exactly designed like that (the hight is 2x8 LDUs) . There's a hole in the bottom, so that it can be placed on a stud. Take a look at the 3d view to see the details: http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=75881&mode=3d The other 3d views are: 10x 1x1: http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=75880&mode=3d Swivel: http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=76084&mode=3d Gun: http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=75662&mode=3d Horn: http://www.shapeways.com/detail?model=75759&mode=3d Woody64

That's my current proposal: The cylinder is placable on a stud, allowing also to have different positions. The complete set would be: Woody64

That's an item missing on the picture, but it may be available soon: Woody64

Here's the 1x1 with 2 studs. http://www.shapeways.com/model/75753/1x1_2_plugs.html If there's really interest in this piece I will do a 10x 1x1 with 10 pieces connected together, which makes the price more attractive. Then there's only a beta tester needed! I think I also have to adapt a little the dimensions to the correct LDU measures: Base: 20x20x8 = 8x8x3.2 mm Stud: 12x4 = 4.8x1.6 mm (edited: done) Woody64

I've tried to overcome that with packs (multiple pieces), which decreases the price. There's even a point where the whole costs less as before since the volume price has decreased. For single items the $1.x per piece makes the change. But with the packs now also coloring is affordable and that is an advantage (i.e. 10 bayonettes old form colored in Limestone: $0.83 per piece) For this item there's the possibility to make some hole in the middle, reducing volume and reducing price. @HappyOwl: the 1x1 with studs will be an easy piece :-) also the Swivel Gun is available. But does anybody have an idea for the holdering with lego pieces or is there a need to design something? http://www.shapeways.com/model/76084/swivel_gun.html Woody64

In this thread there are some ideas for new parts. Some of them are already in my mind and some are still funny to consider. At least I have the possibility to give some of them a try. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=32846 Here's a first trial for the gun (which was already in my mind for months) and I will also do a swivel version. and here you find the version already on shapeways where you can use the 3d view to look at the piece from different sides. http://www.shapeways.com/model/75662/napoleonic_gun.html Coming soon: swivel 1x1 with stud on both sides Woody64
