I have ordered a test piece. Unfortunately I had made a mistake with the first version, which I have corrected yesterday. So it may need another test trial. The one I will get during the next week has wrong dimensions. But maybe it's enough to have a phote since the new one is only resized to the same dimensions as the original LEGO rifle. Here's a more professional photo of the brodie helmet: There's also a new material available at shapeways: Aluminide. That's white&flexible with aluminium dusk inside. that may be an interesting option for my helmets. The result should be a little bit smoother and some kind of metallic look. Let's see. Woody64

I've tried to overcome that with packs (multiple pieces), which decreases the price. There's even a point where the whole costs less as before since the volume price has decreased. For single items the $1.x per piece makes the change. But with the packs now also coloring is affordable and that is an advantage (i.e. 10 bayonettes old form colored in Limestone: $0.83 per piece) For this item there's the possibility to make some hole in the middle, reducing volume and reducing price. @HappyOwl: the 1x1 with studs will be an easy piece :-) also the Swivel Gun is available.
