since i'm quite new here i hadn't seen any of your mocs. I like it. I indeed think it really captures the LEGO SYSTEM-ish building style. I love the presentation, its really nicely done. I wonder how you do it, would like to try it too sometime (guess its your secret :-) ) I also like all the traps you put in. They really spice things up and are good for making cool action scenes.

I hope so! I would like to see some sub-themes like the forestmen and the wolve pack! *wub* Damn i want that chain weapon! :-D

When i'm at a toystore and am looking at lego i think: "looks ok, not as great as it used to be bla bla bla" When i look at the playmobil shelf i think "whoo looks great! So much details, bla bla bla" And then i feel sad :'-(....since i'm a lego fan, and not a playmobil fan.. If you could take apart playmobil and make your own mocs (like with lego) i would probably go for playmobil right now.... 8-| I'm so glad lego is still very much alive in the community. I'm so happy you can still buy CC themes, i'm so happy with initiatives like bricklink and brickshelf. It opened a whole new (lego) world for me, and now i can live with the fact lego has to bow for playmobil in the store...(on this moment)

Pfffff finally i'm done! :-D It was quite some work to make everything in such a short time, but i think all in all it worked out ok. What do you lego veterans think of my ccc4 entries i made? Nice nice nice! Finally a picture of the new castle theme! I think this is a great improvement over the jelly beans. I love the cain mace weapons *wub*.... But are the new skeleton arms straight? Why is that, i think thats not very handy for making nice poses.. I'm looking forward to more pictures! :-P

Sometimes i see pictures on brickshelf of people having bought hunderds of lego boxes at once.... *wacko*...So i was wondering: How much money do you spent on lego every month? Offcourse this varies but what do you think is your average? I think mine is about 50 euro's every month :-)

hello everyone, thank you for all the positive replies! For the stairs i used a round 1x1 brick with a round cone 1x1 on top of it....the cone brick gives you just enough grip you need to hold the bar in place.

I think the Jellybeans are my least favourite minifigs. Btw why are you guys calling them Jellybeans? X-D

Your MOC looks very nice! I think it has a really realistic look. Personally i would swap some of the pink flowers with some other colors. And i would add some more minifigs to the scene doing stuff (selling, working etc etc) to make the moc come to life... But again, it looks very nice! *y*

maybe we could turn the topic of this discussion too who's able to find the most ugly lego piece ever made. :-) Posting pictures of the named pieces would be welcome for me since i'm not very used to all the short terms like burps/lurps...asd :-D Just post your pieces and give an argumentation with it why you choose this particular piece...But lets try not the discuss over every named piece for too long....everyone has a differnt opinion. My first input would be the new plane cockpit piece... (not sure how the find the piece picture though haha) Why?: I think it looks too much like playmobil & you can't make anything else with it. Try to top that! ;-)

This is an excellent MOC! *y* I really like how its build, very original with the sand and shape of the castle. What i like most is the details you put in the walls, some very nice ideas i see there... Makes me cry when looking at my own custom castle :-P I hope someday i will be able to make a castle just as beatifull as yours!

Offcourse i know lego is a toy. I love toys haha. But if Lego decided to make lego pieces larger to make lego more aproachable for smaller kids, isn't lego then trying to juniorize the pieces? Anyway i'm ok with larger pieces. I think its just a matter of taste. I for example am totally ok with the rock pannels (burp & lurps you call it?? 8-|) Lets just decide to use the pieces you like (like we didn't already haha :-P ) on a side note: @Brick Miner: Do you mind the burps and lurps in my custom castle? I used them alot there...Just wondering.. :-)

I guess i'm with both sides here. Some of these larger pieces i do like, others i dont. Sometimes these new pieces give you new building oppertunities sometimes they totally don't... As for the piece mentioned here in this thread. I think its ok. It indeed serves a purpose and if camouflaged it doesnt stand out too much. As for the ugliest pieces ever i think it would have to be the new plane pieces. (these pieces makes lego almost playmobil *sad* )....and i think the cockpit and the wings are the worst parts ever.. :-)

I voted Royal Knights too...I don't really like either of these 2 sets though. The dark fortress had too many oversized pieces, and i dont like the minifigs (purple armored knights? |-/)... And the Royal Knights castle is too simple. I also dont like the way this castle is build in the manual...its allmost like Fabuland... :-| But if i would buy one of these two sets it would def. be Royal Knights. It has many usefull pieces i could use in my own custom castles...

I was wondering. Were there any vikings during the medieval age? Is it realistic to make a scene of vikings attacking a knights castle? And what about vikings and pirates? Is a sea battle between vikings and pirates realistic? I'm not sure... Who lived when?
