  1. Same here. I really like that torso, but i always thought i was expensive....i will add it on my 'wanted' list on bricklink now. :-) Thanks for sharing.
  2. Thats a beautifull CAD indeed! I think i would never be able to make something like that in that program... :-) Maybe i dislike the blue part of the building, but i'm not sure yet :-D
  3. thats a nice wagon you made there! Well done. It really has a western feel to it. i like all the necessities you put in the wagon. Maybe you could use some (lego) rope to attach the front and back to the main flap....haha i hope you understand what i mean. :-D Maybe make a couple of holes in the front, bank and main flap and put some wire/rope through them...somethin like that? Anyway don't mind my babbeling bs, haha, i think the wagon looks very nice. *y*
  4. well its not a box, but an eveloppe containing only a few pieces. I already reported it to the mailing company, but its useless. They apologice, and the man who did it is untraceable i think. Its not sure who did it. It could be the mailingman, but also someone from the 'sorting' department at the mailing company for example....i think i'm just screwed and have to order them again. :'-(
  5. AAARGH!!! >:-( >:-( I just recieved the mail containing the modulex bricks.....and you know what? The f*cking mailman has ripped open my mail and has taken-out all parts!!! Now i have nothing! *sing*
  6. Hi there! I really like this zepplin! It has some cool details and a nice overall look! *y* I think its very nice. Small critic: - I also think the balloon is a little to small, but thats nothing major - i personally dont like the use of the fabric, i would suggest making the balloon part also out of lego bricks. But thats just a matter of taste.... ;-)
  7. I also think the possibilities of modulex are limited. I think you can build more complex things with normal lego....still they used it to design buildings and stuff...i guess its a reason why its not used any more these days?? Or is it still used professionaly to design stuff?? I'm not sure...
  8. Yes there are many beautifull mocs build this last year. Build i have to second your comment. I think Entrance to the Cave is my personal favorite. It's just amazing! 8-
  9. I just orded a couple of modulex bricks today! Including a black 1x1 piece! So the pepper part of the pepper and salt idea is done X-D. Now i'm looking for a 1x1 white brick to complete it. Tomorrow i should recieve my pepper part (together with a couple of other modulex parts). I can't wait!! :-P
  10. "...Modulex bricks are smaller 'cousins' of LEGO bricks. They were originally developed by the LEGO company (many decades ago) and marketed to professional architecture firms and such (not as a retail toy). Possibly to the surprise of many LEGO collectors, these bricks are still manufactured today (by the now independent, but LEGO-related, company Modulex). Modulex bricks are not compatible with typical LEGO bricks. The standard 1x1 Modulex brick (or 'component' as the company refers to them) is 5mm cubed (yes, they are perfect cubes, unlike LEGO unit bricks which are taller than they are wide or deep). The colors are also different than LEGO colors... much more in the 'pastel' frame of mind they are...." This information and more can be found on the site asuka gave earlier. Hope this helps. *y*
  11. I've enjoyed the Colossal Castle Contest IV a lot and wondered if there are any other online contests like this where I can participate in. I have been looking but I can't find any contest on the internet. It doesn't have to be a castle themed contest. Can anyone help me on this? :-|
  12. Ic ic. Thats very interesting! I never ever heard of this Modulex thing. Darn i would like to have those 2 pieces for a pepper and salt set! *sing* I guess i have to keep looking. Thanks for the information you all, it really enlightned me. :-D
  13. I was just looking through some of my lego pictures i collected and can't figure out what kind of lego piece the pepper and salt set are. I really have no idea. At first i thought that they were just 2 flat 1x1 pieces...but they are even smaller then 1x1!! Just compare them with the floor of the kitchen made of 1x1 tiles..... Is anyone able to solve this mystery for me? What is this piece called? Where can i find it? BTW This kitchen is NOT my work. I dont know the artist name anymore, otherwise i would have named him/her. Hope anyone is able to help. X-O
  14. i just watched it and i love it! It's absolutly amazing work, all those different animations. 8-

  19. Well i voted Scorpion too. I also like the Flared though, but the scorpion slightly more... :-)
  20. allthough i don't know much about fishing i think the fishingpole looks ok to me. Maybe its a little too large, but i know fishingpoles can be very long, especially saltwater fishingpoles i believe...so i think it looks fine.
  21. ic ic, yes that dragon wing looks ok...a normal plume would be weird i think.. maybe the small and medium plumes would go...
  22. I just got my first turban today. and i really like it. But whats with the small hole in the turban? Why is it there? I can
  23. again thanks for the nice replies! :-$ I'm not sure about which battle scene you talk about Brick Miner, i made 2 you see. 1) A battle scene inside a castle, a riot. (this entry became a misc entry because the battle scene had to be outside) 2) The castle siege, outside. (this is my real battle scene entry) So which one were you refering to? About the hair. When i put it on a minifig head i immediatly thought of my queen (queen beatrix), so i used as hair for the queen :-P :
  24. Well, i never heard of the whole lego community about a year ago. When i was a kid i played with nothing else than Lego. But when entered puberty i put everything in a closet. Recently (2005) i re-discovered LEGO. At first i just wanted to collect all LEGO sets. But then i also wanted to start building again, and more and more started to discover the LEGO community. I just found bricklink about half a year ago and only found this forum, brickshelf and the Classic Castle sites recently. I was very excited about this contest. Do you know of any other contests that are being held, besides this one? These do not have to be contests related to castle. I also like city and pirates for example. I hope to win the Battlse Scene category (with the castle siege) or the Interior category. These categories have the most interesting prizes i think. But i would be happy to win anything.
